The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Capítulo 1805: Chapter 1805: Just Call Me Third Sister or Yu

These are the preliminary processes, and after the recitation is over, Yuan Gui kneels down to serve tea to Granny Fang and presents the things he has prepared to show respect.

The items are usually not expensive, just essentials like firewood, rice, oil, and salt that are used at home.

Granny Fang also prepared a new set of clothes for Yuan Gui, which she had made early on, and she gave him a red envelope.

Once the red envelope was given, it was time for Yuan Gui to change his form of address.

Whether it was due to being too nervous or too excited, at this critical moment, Yuan Gui opened his mouth only for his voice to get stuck in his throat, unable to say a word.

The conversations in the living room ceased instantly, with everyone’s attention focused on him.

Yuan Gui’s eyes were red; at this moment, he felt a sense of reality—he truly had relatives now.

He grew up alone, without anyone to depend on, like a duckweed without roots, and now suddenly he seemed to have roots, a home, and inside he felt a mixed bag of emotions, both sour and full, experiencing all kinds of feelings.

Granny Fang looked at him, and her heart was also filled with a myriad of feelings.

She didn’t rush him, patiently and quietly waited, even waving her hand to signal the Old Village Chief not to speak.

As Yuan Gui’s heart gradually anchored back from midair, the term that had been rolling in his throat countless times finally came out.

“Grandmother!”

Granny Fang’s tears, which were swirling in her eyes, finally fell with a ‘plop.’

“Yes, yes, I’m here, Ah Gui, get up quickly.”

She hurried forward to help him up, then patted his arm, nodding repeatedly, “Good child, good child.”

The Old Village Chief laughed heartily and said, “The ceremony is complete, let’s eat.”

Everyone congratulated them while ushering themselves outdoors, where the cold dishes had already been served.

Granny Fang held Yuan Gui by her left hand and Shu Yu by her right, cheerfully heading to the main table.

Besides the three of them at the main table, there were also Meng Pei and the Old Village Chief and several respected elders from the village and Guan family couple, making for a bustling table.

Hot dishes were soon served, and after a few rounds of drinks, several tables of people came over in turns to toast Granny Fang and the others.

Granny Fang couldn’t drink, so she used tea instead of alcohol, too happy to refuse anyone.

She held Shu Yu’s hand and said, “I’ve heard everything from Ah Gui. He almost refused to acknowledge his relatives initially, but it was your words that made him see things clearly.”

Sitting on the other side, Yuan Gui naturally heard this, feeling somewhat embarrassed. He poured himself a drink and said to Shu Yu, “Monarch Lu Xiang, thank you so much for your guidance that day, otherwise I would have been caught in a dead end and missed such a good fortune.”

Shu Yu lifted the small wine cup on the table and took a sip, “No need to be so formal, and besides, now you’re Auntie’s grandson, a few years older than me, so that makes you my brother. According to our generation ranking, I’m third among the girls, and other siblings call me Yu, you can also call me Yu, or Third Sister.”

Yuan Gui’s face immediately flushed; how could he call her that?

Not only did he gain a grandmother today, but also a sister; this sister is Monarch Lu Xiang, and his heart is all over the place.

Shu Yu knew he wasn’t accustomed yet, “It’s okay, take your time. Anyway, there will be plenty of time in the future, you’ll get used to it.”

Yuan Gui breathed a sigh of relief and sat back, hanging his head and muttering softly, practicing calling her Third Sister and Yu so that when the time comes, he can call her just right.
