The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1806: Chapter 1806: Doctor Guo’s Opinion

After the banquet ended, most of the people hadn’t left yet. Some were helping to tidy up the tables and chairs, while others gathered together to chat.

Shu Yu saw Granny Fang’s room was full of people. Just as she was about to step out for some air, Ying Xi came over and said that Doctor Guo was looking for her.

Shu Yu peered out and indeed saw Doctor Guo standing in a corner of the courtyard, looking towards her.

Shu Yu walked over quickly to the corner, ”Doctor Guo, are you looking for me for something?”

Doctor Guo, in his thirties, was very skinny, and when he wasn’t speaking or smiling, he appeared quite serious.

Facing Shu Yu, his expression softened a lot. Somewhat embarrassed, he said, ”Monarch Lu Xiang, I’m looking for you mainly to discuss Granny Fang’s situation.”

Shu Yu was taken aback, ”Is Aunt not feeling well?”

”No, not exactly.” He first denied it, then nodded, ”Yes.”

The two statements were conflicting, so Doctor Guo thought for a bit and started from the beginning, ”Monarch Lu Xiang, you might have heard that Granny Fang fell into the water years ago, and it left her with health problems.”

Shu Yu nodded gravely, ”Yes.”

”When Granny Fang came to our village, I was still young. The doctor who treated her back then was my grandfather. Later, I inherited my grandfather’s skills, and I’ve been treating Granny Fang whenever she had minor ailments. My grandfather also told me about her condition. All these years, Granny Fang seems fine on the surface, but she actually has a cold constitution.”

This cold constitution leads to her breaking out in cold sweats and experiencing severe stomach pain every time she menstruates.

Moreover, Granny Fang’s menstrual cycle has always been irregular. There was once a period when it didn’t come for half a year, which led Doctor Guo to suspect she had entered menopause early.

However, such matters were not easy for Doctor Guo to discuss with Shu Yu, especially since she was still unmarried and a junior to Granny Fang.

So he could only imply, ”In any case, as a doctor, I hope Granny Fang can be healthy going forward.”

With a hint of difficulty, he said softly, ”Monarch Lu Xiang, if you have the ability, please take Granny Fang to the prefecture to see a better doctor.”

He felt somewhat ashamed saying this, as the ability he referred to was actually money.

Granny Fang doesn’t have money, so she cannot go to the prefecture to find a doctor with high medical skill, especially since her illness is a woman’s issue, and there are few highly skilled doctors in this area. Not to mention, the medicine Granny Fang needs requires expensive herbs.

These matters were originally not Doctor Guo’s responsibility.

However, he had been in close contact with Granny Fang since childhood, and she was always kind to him. After hesitating for most of the day, he couldn’t help but bring it up.

Seeing the gifts Shu Yu had brought, Doctor Guo knew she truly respected Granny Fang, so he summoned the courage to come over.

But after speaking, Shu Yu didn’t say anything for a long while, which made Doctor Guo nervous.

Had he come to the wrong person?

Just as he was thinking about how to end the conversation gracefully, Shu Yu suddenly lifted her head, ”I don’t know which doctors have great medical skills in Changjin Prefecture. I want to take Aunt to see Elder Zhao when we return.”

”Elder Zhao?”

”Master Zhao, the adept. Have you heard of him, Doctor Guo?”

Doctor Guo’s eyes widened in surprise as he nodded repeatedly, ”Yes, of course, I’ve heard of him. Can Monarch Lu Xiang get Elder Zhao to examine Granny Fang?”

”Yes, so we’ll hold off on going to the prefecture for now to prevent any medication conflict with Elder Zhao’s prescriptions.”
