The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1636: Chapter 1636: Time Flies

That’s only natural; starch sausage is extremely popular in modern times. Even though everyone knows it will make them gain weight, they still can’t control their cravings.

Madam Liang ate two in a row and still wanted more, but Shu Yu coolly reminded her, “You have to pay for those.”

Madam Liang felt a bit embarrassed and quickly controlled herself. However, she thought she might purchase some from the workshop to bring home for her husband and two children. According to Yu, these things are already cooked and can be eaten directly. They can be great in scrambled eggs or stir-fried dishes, with many uses.

She and Cuihua discussed on the spot and decided to stock up a hundred sausages to try selling.

Anyway, since the workshop is so close, they can restock anytime after selling out.

Although there wasn’t much, Shu Yu opened a convenient door for them to come and pick up more at any time. Besides, selling them at their stall was essentially advertising sausages.

The two quickly picked up the goods and borrowed the iron plate back to their stall.

The sausage business was very good; people didn’t have to eat them at the stall, they could just buy and take them away, which was quite convenient.

Shu Yu observed for most of the day and, seeing positive feedback, instructed Wang Kangfu to increase production.

Back home, Shu Yu contemplated expanding with another branch in the prefecture.

Before she could act, someone from Donggu County came to discuss collaboration.

Indeed, Old Master Qian’s case was causing a stir in Donggu County, and those who smelled business opportunities naturally didn’t want to miss the chance.

After Donggu County, merchants from nearby county towns began to come to Lu’s for goods one after another.

Lu’s Workshop quickly assembled a sales team led by Dazhuang to promote Lu’s products in the prefecture and surrounding county towns.

Lu’s business was climbing steadily, and Shu Yu entrusted Wei Ronghua with opening another branch, while she focused on expanding the workshop’s territory.

While Shu Yu was busy, October arrived, marking the year-end agreement between Meng Yunzheng and Old Master Miao. They formally signed the sale agreement, transferring ownership of the estate and hill that used to belong to the black market.

Meng Yunzheng became the owner of the estate, and then he started preparing for formal renovations.

Meng Yunzheng didn’t try to conceal this matter deliberately, nor did he widely publicize it. However, it spread after more than ten days, and someone left behind by Hao Dingshan got wind of it and immediately sent a message back to the capital.

His movement was a mistake; the action allowed Lord Fei, who was watching him, to follow this line and instantly capture several spies hiding in the dark.

Dongan Province became much quieter as a result.

Soon after, Meng Yunzheng received a letter just after returning to Changjin Prefecture from Meng Pei.

Meng Pei had already brought Meng Han home and met Ms. Tao. She was fine and had indeed been sick recently, but it was merely a cold and fever that cleared up in a couple of days without any serious issue as she had exaggerated, like wanting to see Meng Han one last time.

Meng Han was furious, but at least she was relieved that her mother was okay.

However, Uncle Meng had not returned yet; Meng Pei mentioned in his letter he planned to stay longer at the Meng family.

Although Meng Pei was someone loyal, Meng family’s escort agency still housed many brothers who had fought alongside him. Knowing that Changjin Prefecture wasn’t peaceful recently and Uncle Meng, the Head Escort, hadn’t returned, he naturally couldn’t leave those people behind.

Therefore, he planned to stay and arrange a safe retreat before considering anything else.
