The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1635: Chapter 1635: The Soulmate of Instant Noodles

Shu Yu knew that she was just complaining and that they could still make money.

It’s just that they had to split the earnings four ways, which inevitably felt a bit lacking. Plus, the flowering season was coming to an end, so Madam Liang was feeling a bit unwilling.

Fortunately, Madam Li wasn’t around, or she might have thought Madam Liang was blaming Lanhua for choosing the wrong wedding date.

Seeing that they still seemed to handle the work, Shu Yu thought for a moment and said, ”My workshop recently produced a new food called sausages; you can fry sausages to sell.”

Madam Liang’s eyes lit up instantly. She was really just venting to Shu Yu and hadn’t expected any helpful ideas, let alone hearing such surprising news.

She became immediately interested, ”How do you sell them?”

Sausages were something Shu Yu had planned to sell for a long time. With instant noodles, how could you not have this soul mate? It just so happened that Wang Kangfu, the steward of the instant noodle workshop, loved researching these foods. Shu Yu gave him a rough idea, and he got right into it.

During this time, they also made tools and improved the recipe, and a few days ago, the sausages were ready for sale.

Seeing others were also interested, Shu Yu said to the Liang couple, ”Uncle Liang and Aunt Liang, after we finish eating, I’ll have Ying Xi take you back to Shangshi Village. I’m tied up here for the moment.”

The Liang couple waved their hands, ”Monarch Lu Xiang, don’t worry about us. We can walk back. If we run into an ox cart along the way, we can hitch a ride.”

They had already received the twenty taels of silver in compensation from Old Master Qian.

To be honest, their family wasn’t wealthy, and those two acres of sunflower field, possibly due to the soil, always yielded less than others. Altogether, their household didn’t even have twenty taels.

Suddenly receiving this much money, their hearts were still pounding with excitement.

All of this they truly had to thank Monarch Lu Xiang for. Without her, they wouldn’t have been able to receive such a large amount in compensation.

Seeing Shu Yu was busy, naturally, they didn’t want to trouble her any further.

But Shu Yu was concerned; the walk back to Shangshi Village was a long one. If they didn’t encounter a cart, they might not arrive before dark.

So she insisted Ying Xi take them back, especially since they were carrying twenty taels of a hefty sum.

The Liang couple thought it over and agreed; they couldn’t afford to lose that money, so they didn’t refuse any longer and got onto the carriage with Ying Xi.

After they left, things on this side weren’t busy, so Shu Yu took Madam Liang and Cuihua to the workshop.

The tools were more complete at the workshop, and she had already prepared the grill for frying sausages in advance.

Shu Yu skewered the sausages, cut a few slits with a small knife, and once the grill was heated, she poured a little oil onto it and placed the sausages there. As the sizzling sound began, Madam Liang thought she could already smell the aroma.

”So this is sausage, what’s it made of?”

”Well, there’s some meat in it,” Shu Yu said without revealing the trade secret of the exact ingredients and process.

Hearing there was meat inside, Madam Liang’s eyes started to gleam.

With meat, the price could certainly be set higher.

The sausages were soon done frying, and after applying the sauce, Shu Yu handed one to each of them, ”Alright, give it a try.”

Madam Liang couldn’t wait to take a bite, her eyes widening instantly, ”Delicious, fragrant and crispy, the taste is amazing.”

Cuihua nodded approvingly from the side, ”Yu, these sausages are sure to be a hit.”
