The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1610: Chapter 1610: Shu Yu’s Skills

The villagers of Shangshi Village were very envious when they saw it. Two mule carriages full of dowry, that was an uncommon sight during weddings in the village.

The Lu family has indeed prospered, just look at the grandeur of this wedding.

Daniu was distributing wedding candies on the side, and the village children were bouncing along in pursuit, each clutching a small handful, their eyes squinting with sweetness.

Once the mule carriages were far away, everyone turned around and returned to the Lu family home.

The Lu family could finally take a moment to rest, everything that needed tidying up was done, they were now just waiting for the next day’s wedding reception.

That evening, Lanhua was held in conversation for a long time by Madam Li, repeating some things over and over. Ultimately, the old lady couldn’t stand it and said that Lanhua had to wake up early the next day to get dressed, and if she didn’t rest well, she wouldn’t look good.

Only then did Madam Li reluctantly go to bed.

Early the next morning, the Lu family was up and about.

Shu Yu and the second room of the Lu family lived in their own houses, as the main house had to entertain Madam Li’s family, and while there were many rooms built, there still weren’t enough.

Just as dawn broke, Shu Yu came to Lu Dasong’s home with her makeup box.

She was still a bit sleepy, but she was responsible for Lanhua’s bridal makeup. Meng Han was there to assist her, having roamed all over Jiangyuan County during her time there, she often went to Yiren Pavilion to visit Lanhua.

It just so happened that because Shuyou was pregnant, she spent less time at the shop, leaving only Lanhua to handle the makeup duties, a task that really put pressure on her.

Meng Han, though restless and unable to sit still, had a real interest in makeup. As she grew up, she began to pay more attention to her own image. Watching Lanhua apply makeup, she would stay next to her, curiously observing.

Once she got the hang of it, she occasionally helped Lanhua, knowing her makeup procedures and preparing the makeup products for her, saving her a lot of effort.

But now that Shu Yu was putting on the makeup, it left Meng Han a little flustered.

Because her procedures were... different from Lanhua’s.

She used more products, some of which Meng Han had never seen before.

Fortunately, there were not many places Shu Yu needed assistance with, she was fast and soon had the makeup and hair done.

Meng Han moved to the front of Lanhua, her eyes widening in surprise, ”Sister Lanhua, you are so beautiful, even more so than those guests who came to Yiren Pavilion before.”

Lanhua smiled with her lips tightly pressed, afraid to open her mouth too wide with her lip balm on, and her voice was delicate, ”Sister Yu’s skills are the best. Back then, Sister Ayou learned from her. My makeup skills are just superficial, of course not comparable.”

Meng Han looked toward Shu Yu with shining eyes, ”Sister Yu, when I get married, could you do my makeup too?”

Shu Yu, ”...” Her hand almost shook a little.

She looked at her somewhat helplessly, ”You still have a long way to go before you get married.”

”Not long, just a few more years.”

”Alright, when you get married, I’ll do your makeup.”

Meng Han was delighted, feeling content.

Outside it was gradually getting lively, and after finishing the makeup, Shu Yu went to grab a bite to eat.

The Yu family arrived quite quickly, outside some blocked the door, shouting and speaking loudly.

Third Lu, as usual, led a group of juniors to give the groom’s family a hard time, though this time it was different from when Shuyou got married.

Back then, Meng Yunzheng and Xiang Weinan were among those helping Zhao Xi receive the bride, both adept in both literature and martial arts, making the children inside no match for them, and the door was quickly opened.
