This Doctor Is Too Wealthy

After a check-up, Du Heng smiled under everyone’s concerned gaze and said, ”There’s no big problem. It’s just Phlegm Turbidity obscuring the heart’s orifices these past few days, causing Qi stagnation and blood stasis. You just need medicine that boosts qi and promotes blood circulation to remove blood stasis. I’ll give you a new house now, and after taking it for three to five days, your problem will be completely gone.”

Wang Zhenzhen quickly stepped forward and asked, ”Xiao Heng, this definitely won’t leave any sequelae, right?”

”Of course not, don’t worry, sister.”

As they were talking, Doctor Ma hurried in, buttoning his clothes, ”Dean.”

Du Heng acknowledged with a sound and said softly, ”Don’t rush, take it slow.”

Doctor Ma glanced at the hospital room and saw Gong Daoyang, who had already regained consciousness. His eyelids twitched involuntarily. Such a large dose of the house actually worked. While his mind raced, he quickly fastened the last button.

”The patient has woken up. Change the house to Yang-Supplementing Five-Returning Decoction with additions. I’ll dictate the house; you write it down.”

Doctor Ma nodded hurriedly, taking out a pen and paper to prepare.

”Red peony, rhizoma ligustici, peach kernel, safflower... musk.”

Doctor Ma quickly wrote down every medicine ingredient name and dosage Du Heng mentioned. When it came to the last medicine ingredient, Doctor Ma asked Du Heng, ”Dean, should we still add musk now?”

Du Heng replied as if it were a matter of course, ”Yes, of course, we should add it. Yang-Supplementing Five-Returning Decoction boosts qi and promotes blood circulation to remove blood stasis and speeds up cerebral blood circulation. Furthermore, Musk helps repair long-term damage caused by cerebral hypoxia and has a very good therapeutic effect on brain lesions.

”Hey, speaking of Xiao Li’s side, haven’t you seen the house for treating cerebral hypoplasia in those pediatric patients recently? Most of them contain musk, which has a very good effect on repairing the central nervous system.”

Doctor Ma lowered his head in embarrassment. He hadn’t paid much attention to the patients on Xiao Li’s side that Du Heng mentioned.

Moreover, Du Heng had said before he left that he, Doctor Ma, was the temporary head of the Chinese Medicine Department. His behavior could basically be considered dereliction of duty.

However, Du Heng only glanced at Doctor Ma and didn’t say anything or show any particular attitude towards his embarrassment.

”Musk has a significant effect on the central nervous system. When using it, be sure to control the dosage well. In small amounts, it can stimulate the recovery of the central nervous system, but if used excessively, it will instead suppress the nerves. When you have time, you can look at the houses in the system. You will then have a better understanding of the use of musk or other medicines.”

Listening to Du Heng’s words, which seemed like both a reprimand and guidance, Doctor Ma nodded repeatedly.

Du Heng chuckled softly and let Doctor Ma off the hook. He then turned his head to look at Wang Zhenzhen, ”Sister, while Gong is taking his medicine, if you have time, give him massage and massage. Just do it gently; don’t use too much force. This will help Gong recover faster.”

As Du Heng spoke and wrote out the house, Wang Zhenzhen had already moved to Gong Daoyang’s side again, showing the demeanor of a deeply devoted couple. She didn’t refute Du Heng’s words at all and immediately nodded in agreement.

”Let’s go. Gather our colleagues from the Chinese Medicine Department, and let’s do a ward round together. It’s been a long time since we’ve all done a ward round together.”

”I’ll arrange it right away.”

Doctor Ma’s heart tightened at Du Heng’s sudden proposal, and he hurriedly walked out of the hospital room.

All the TCM in the hospital had now been reassigned to the Chinese Medicine Department, and they had been constantly adapting and studying during these ten-odd days.

However, this progress made him, the temporary head, have some palpitations.

But when Doctor Ma notified everyone of the news, he wasn’t the only one with palpitations; everyone else, like him, started to get palpitations.

Recently, Du Heng had done many significant things. Both his professional ability and personal reputation left these people with no desire to resist.

Three months ago, when Du Heng was selecting people for the Chinese Medicine Department, everyone looked down on him, thinking he was being picky and choosy. But today, as far as the Chinese Medicine Department was concerned, they could take them or leave them; the department wouldn’t miss a single one.

However, during today’s ward round, Du Heng didn’t make things difficult for everyone. Even when asking questions, he just asked some simple ones. It was best if they could answer, but it didn’t matter if they couldn’t.

Of course, the fundamental reason was that Du Heng had a general understanding of everyone’s skill level.

Otherwise, he would not have allowed Li Shuxun and Wu Buwei, two young men who were newcomers, to rise so quickly.

After checking each patient and making slight adjustments to the medication for those whose prescriptions were not quite accurate, Du Heng finished today’s ward round and returned to his office.

”Section Chief Song, why didn’t you give me a call? I’m sorry to have kept you waiting.” As soon as Du Heng entered the office, he saw Section Chief Song already waiting and promptly greeted him with a smile.

Section Chief Song responded with a warm smile and polite words.

The two exchanged some awkward pleasantries. Seeing that Section Chief Song was hesitant to speak, Du Heng decided to take the initiative.

”I heard from my brother-in-law yesterday that Section Chief Song isn’t feeling well. Is there anything I can help with?”

Section Chief Song’s face immediately turned embarrassed. The vitality he usually exuded seemed to vanish, and he became somewhat meek.

Seeing this, Du Heng instantly understood. If he wasn’t mistaken, Section Chief Song must be having problems ’down there.’ He didn’t press for details, letting Section Chief Song mentally prepare himself. Only when Song himself came to terms with it would he be able to calmly explain his condition without omitting anything.

Moreover, once he was psychologically prepared, it would make for a better start to his treatment.

Section Chief Song remained embarrassed for quite some time. Seeing Du Heng’s consistently gentle smile, he gradually calmed down.

After taking a light breath, Section Chief Song said in a strained voice, ”President Du, I... I’m not able to perform ’down there’ anymore.”

’Down there?’ Du Heng blinked a couple of times. He had considered many possibilities, but this was not one of them.

”Yes,” Section Chief Song replied, his face flushed red, and his head drooped after speaking.

Du Heng scratched his head. He really wanted to say, ’Take off your pants and let me have a good look,’ but he couldn’t bring himself to say it out loud.

Du Heng maintained a composed expression and said in a gentle voice, ”Section Chief Song, could you please tell me the specific details?” But inwardly, his curiosity for gossip had already been ignited.

As for Section Chief Song, now that the words were out, the embarrassment in his heart gradually subsided.

After adjusting his breathing slightly, Section Chief Song raised his head and slowly said, ”It started about one year ago. Whenever I was intimate with my lover, I would inexplicably become nervous. Although I always tried hard to control it, this nervousness became increasingly severe. Gradually...”

Section Chief Song completely opened up, recounting everything to Du Heng in great detail. Du Heng listened intently, his earlier gossipy curiosity now completely gone.

Yang Wei, premature ejaculation... he has them both. This is the kind of situation I worry about most. A condition that develops slowly is always the most difficult to treat; it’s too complex.

Du Heng’s expression remained unchanged as he listened very attentively to Section Chief Song, which helped Section Chief Song relax even more.

Sighing softly, Section Chief Song continued, ”Don’t be fooled by how energetic and cheerful I seem every day. It’s all an act. Since then, I’ve become anxious and restless all day long, always wanting to end conversations with people as quickly as possible.”
