The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 759: Chapter 759: His Heart Deserves to Be Punished

Walking out of Chunhui Hall, Song Zhicheng looked at his eldest brother with a solemn expression.

”Big brother, behind Chairman Ning stands the grand madam of the Fan Family. Chairman Ning himself is the brother-in-law of the grand madam’s sister. Could it be that it’s Prime Minister Fan’s faction behind this trickery?”

”Whether it is or isn’t, it’s hard to say. The grand madam of the Fan Family has not been in good health these past two years; she’s been lucid at times and confused at others. I hear she’s bedridden now and doesn’t recognize anyone, and even if she survives this year, next year might...” Song Zhiyuan said calmly, ”With this in mind, if Prime Minister Fan is up to something, it wouldn’t be surprising.”

Ahead of his mourning period, even peeling a layer off him is good; we need to weaken him anyway.

Song Zhicheng frowned, ”It’s just a few skinny horses. Even if they squeeze in, at most, they’ll just add trouble to our family, make the back courtyard more of a mess. They can’t seriously think this will cause chaos within our household, right? Besides, if this could work, why didn’t they try it years ago instead of shoving people in now?”

”Now is also a good time. For one, the third brother already has a concubine. If we falter here, the next ones who come won’t be just skinny horses.”

Song Zhicheng was slightly taken aback and instinctively rubbed the ring on his hand, contemplating those words. Once they accept the skinny horses, it signifies to the outside world that they are indulging, taking in concubines, and more women will flood the back courtyard.

The more women, the more trouble, and there will be people who seize the opportunity to cause chaos.

”There’s another point. Your sister-in-law is pregnant right now. At her age, being pregnant is already dangerous. If anything happens to her or the child, it would be a huge blow to me, not to mention the likely strain it would put on family relations.”

Song Zhicheng’s face turned dark, ”These people are truly malicious.”

”That’s not the worst of it. The key issue is with those skinny horses. Who knows if there’s really a spy mixed in with them? If any of us brothers can’t resist, takes one into his room, we might just get our throats slit in our sleep.”

Song Zhicheng sneered repeatedly upon hearing this, ”Then they really must be something. If we’re to take in concubines, we wouldn’t stoop so low as to make a skinny horse a concubine, would we? Is this to humiliate us or belittle us?”

Anyone with a little status wouldn’t take such people in. Skinny horses are merely playthings; which household would take one in as a proper concubine? It would be laughable.

Song Zhiyuan glanced over, ”They don’t need you to take them as concubines, just need you willing to sleep with them, and they’ll succeed.”

Cough, cough.

Song Zhicheng looked at his elder brother with a complex expression and said, ”Brother, you speak of women as if they are tigers, and it makes me shiver in fear for the over a hundred pounds of fat on my body.”

”Stop joking around,” Song Zhiyuan said, ”Father is indeed a weak point. Arrange for a different driver to follow him around.”

Stop giving people loopholes to exploit. We got skinny horses this time; what about next time?

Song Zhicheng was also a bit distressed by the old man’s naivety. It’s one thing to indulge, but why not do something productive? It really makes one worry.

”He probably wouldn’t dare now. Our mother can be ruthless; if she decides, she might actually disable him on the bed.”

The two brothers exchanged a glance, then looked away, remembering a remark from their mother that made them feel a chill between their legs.

”Brother, I’ll head back to the yard first. I don’t know what my wife will do to handle me.” He also needed to go back and calm things down, lest that jealous woman become envious.

Song Zhiyuan raised an eyebrow at him, and after a moment, said, ”Feel the intensity of the whip?”

Song Zhicheng: ”...”

Sly, sulky, old fox, even turning cheeky!
