The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 752: Chapter 752: The Skinny Horse is on Duty Now

Like the complaints from Madam and Song Ruqi, similar sentiments emerged in other residences, truly Grandpa Song had refreshed their understanding, making them quite uncomfortable.

Poor Grandpa Song, his ears burning, sneezed several times.

He felt like someone was badmouthing him behind his back.

And when he heard that Song Ci had taken those thin horses to Chunhui Hall, he spat out a mouthful of hot tea.

”I knew it, nothing could go that smoothly. Turns out they’ve all been fooling me, saying all those daughters-in-law have accepted the arrangement; humph, clearly they’ve colluded to deceive me.” Grandpa Song angrily slapped the table.

Next to him, the servant Changgui wished he could be invisible, but unfortunately Grandpa wouldn’t let him off.

”Changgui, tell me, is that old woman deliberately going against me?”

Changgui wanted to cry, he didn’t want to answer, but he had to: ”Grandpa, you’re overthinking it. Madam is not that kind of person.”

”You’re my servant, how can you speak for her? Look at that Nanny Gong, all her words are for the old woman. And you? What use are you to me?” Grandpa Song snorted.

Changgui loudly lamented his innocence: ”This servant is wholeheartedly loyal to you, Grandpa, my sincerity shines like the sun and moon, heaven and earth can witness...”

”Alright, alright, you only know those couple of sentences, stop boasting in front of me.” Grandpa Song put down his teacup and said, ”Go to Chunhui Hall, I need to ask that old woman what she means, competing with her own son for beautiful maids, is she not embarrassed?”

Changgui really wanted to say, I advise you not to go humiliate yourself, but he didn’t dare.

Song Ci, having changed into comfortable home wear, was sitting on the Arhat bed sipping tea when a maid reported that Grandpa was coming this way.

”Oh, he really can’t sit still.” Song Ci quickly took a couple of sips of tea to moisten her throat and rolled up her sleeves slightly.

Nanny Gong saw this and silently put her sleeves down, thinking it’s better not to let the younger ones see her being so hands-on at her age and make fun of her.

Song Ci awkwardly said, ”Go call One, Two, Three, Four over to serve me.”

It’s about time they started their job.

Nanny Gong raised her eyebrows and quickly went to summon them.

Before long, Grandpa Song came in, and as soon as he entered, he saw Song Ci lounging comfortably, surrounded by several people who looked somewhat familiar.

Well, aren’t they just those thin horses?

One maid was massaging her shoulders, another was massaging her legs, one was reading aloud, and another was holding a dish of sliced seasonal fruit, occasionally feeding her a piece and even wiping the juice from her mouth.

Since when did the old lady enjoy herself like this?

The women paused when they saw Grandpa, but didn’t dare say anything.

”All of you, get out.” Grandpa coughed.

Song Ci said, ”Continue with what you’re doing, don’t stop. Now you’re with me, better know whose words to follow.”

Grandpa Song was so angry he jumped: ”You old woman, have you no shame? Snatching the maids prepared for our son?”

”Do I look like someone who needs to snatch? The sons and daughters-in-law are filial to me, seeing no one serving me, they sent people over to serve me, what? You want to stop your own kids from being filial to me?” Song Ci glanced at him.

Grandpa Song choked: ”You, you’re being unreasonable, you clearly...”

”Clearly what? Want to say I’m jealous or that I’m preventing our sons from sleeping with other women besides their wives?” Song Ci said, ”You better not say anything, because if you do, I could use a dowry to marry off Concubine Mei and the others, solidifying the reputation of being jealous!”
