The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 756: Chapter 756: Old Lady Has the Upper Hand

Kick her out of the ancestral burial grounds?

Song Ci laughed until she cried.

”When you die, it’s just a handful of yellow earth. Just watch if I dare. If they don’t let me be buried in the ancestral grounds, my son will buy me another piece of Feng Shui land, maybe it’ll become another ancestral ground. Anyway, my surname is Song, so wherever the descendants are buried, it’s still the Song family’s ancestral grounds!”

Old Master Song: ”...”

Shut your mouth!

After venting, Song Ci sat back on the Arhat bed, quietly took a deep breath, and patted her chest.

She really wanted to mock herself — when it comes to strength of voice, she couldn’t compete with an old man a few years younger than herself, struggling for breath like this.

Blame it on saying everything in one breath.

Seeing her silent, Old Master Song felt uneasy, realizing he came to pick a fight but ended up being lectured and threatened by Song Ci.

For some reason, he recalled the hesitant expression on the servant Changgui’s face before he set out, probably meaning to say not to look for trouble?

That wretched servant probably knew all along.

Now, what should he do to pick a fight, take off his pants and pee in the main hall as a way to vent?

At this moment, Nanny Gong reported, ”The Prime Minister and Second Master are here.”

Song Zhiyuan was at a drinking party, enjoying himself, when the servants reported that the two elders at home were likely to fight, prompting a hasty return to put out the fire.

On the way, he learned of the whole situation. Despite a headache, upon returning to the mansion, he first went to check on his wife, learning she was distressed and saw red, causing him to appear anxious.

Since their eldest son, no matter how loving the couple was, no other child came along, which he regretted. Now that finally one was coming, he was naturally delighted.

Most importantly, he didn’t want to return to the days dominated by heavy meat diets during pre-pregnancy preparation!

After comforting his wife and giving her some sweetness to ease her mind, he headed to Chunhui Hall, encountering his second brother inspecting the estate on the way, so they went together.

The brothers thought the two elders had started fighting, but saw one sitting on the Arhat bed drinking tea, the other standing alone sulking, and couldn’t help but glance at each other.

Looks like the old lady had the upper hand again.

”Father, Mother.” The two men bowed together in greeting.

Song Ci responded with a hum.

Old Master Song also answered with a stern face, feeling somewhat guilty inwardly.

In this house, he feared Song Ci, and feared Song Zhiyuan, the eldest son, even more. After all, the former was a woman; no matter how sharp her tongue was, she had limited destructive power, at most making herself look foolish.

But in front of his long-time official eldest son, he felt shorter in stature, and the authority from his son’s officialdom seemed to compress him, making him feel breathless.

”Just in time, your father awarded each of you with two beautiful maids, currently in my courtyard, take them back.” Song Ci glanced mockingly at the old man, ”Your father’s earnest love for his sons must not be let down.”

What kind of talk is this?

Old Master Song’s face grew hotter, he weakly glanced at his sons, lips twitching.

Song Zhicheng was the first to plead, ”Father, your love, your son appreciates in his heart. It’s just I’ve been quite weak recently, drinking tonic soup as tea daily, fearing I cannot enjoy the blessings of beauties. Let them demonstrate filial piety by serving Mother instead.”

Song Zhiyuan glanced at his younger brother faintly. When it comes to self-deprecation, I really can’t beat you.

Song Zhicheng smiled politely. Self-deprecation is better than hearing his wife’s lion roar of the east river. A whip from her could suppress the courtyard with awe; I fear I am a goner! Jiang, as she wiped her whip in her room, sneezed twice and calmly instructed the maid: Bring the oil.

This whip is not slippery and shiny enough!
