The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 753: Chapter 753: Chanting Spells is Equivalent to Cursing

Looking at Song Ci’s expression that seemed to say ”try disobeying me and see what happens,” the old master of the Song Family suddenly felt a chill down his neck, as if his fate was sealed. Memories of what his parents said before they passed away flooded back.

What did they say again?

The memories were so distant, almost forgotten, but there was one line he could never forget, which was—

Listen to A’Ci.

How old was he back then? Hearing those words, he was particularly displeased. Song Ci was a child bride to the Song Family; he was the Song Family’s son, so why should he listen to her? Surely, she should be the obedient one.

But his parents at the time said, if he dared not to listen, even after death, they would kick him out of the Song Family’s ancestral grave, which infuriated him so much that he blurted out that Song Ci must have been their real child.

Song Father and Song Mother said that Song Ci had a strong and resilient nature, that she could lead the Song Family to a good future, and that she knew gratitude. As long as the old master of the Song Family didn’t go too far, Song Ci would not abandon the Song Family.

He objected, asking if Song Ci was wrong, did he still have to listen?

They said, the Song Family has family rules. If you don’t obey, then you’re not a child of the Song Family.

What are the family rules?

The first rule is that Song Ci is always right. If Song Ci is wrong, it must be that Song Kun saw it wrong.

The second rule is if Song Kun didn’t see it wrong, then it must be his thinking that’s wrong.

The third rule is if Song Kun didn’t think wrong, as long as Song Ci doesn’t admit it, she’s not wrong.

The fourth rule is if Song Ci isn’t wrong and he says she is, then it’s his fault.

The last rule, also the most infuriating one, is if Song Ci is indeed wrong, please refer to the first family rule.

At that time, he was dumbfounded. The so-called family rules were essentially a tightly bound spell, a spell his biological parents had placed on this mischievous monkey. As long as Song Ci, the old Tang monk, chanted the spell, he was done for.

Ever since that tightly bound spell was placed, it never came off again.

Now the old master of the Song Family felt a headache, Song Ci was about to chant the spell.

”You...” The old master of the Song Family pointed at Song Ci, at a loss for words.

He glanced at the people in the room, his face darkened, and said: ”Get out, all of you.”

No one moved, they all looked at Song Ci.

Seeing this, the old master’s face darkened further.

Song Ci waved her hand casually: ”Everyone, please leave for now.”

The crowd left as if granted amnesty, filing out one by one, except for Nanny Gong standing by the door, ready to manage the situation at any time.

”The place is cleared out for you, what do you want to say, say it.” Song Ci straightened up and glanced at him.

The old master of the Song Family: ”...”

”Why aren’t you talking now? Weren’t you here to question me? Or were you rushing to be the first to offer your head, letting this old lady counter you?” Song Ci sneered: ”According to my nature, I’d rather take action than babble, but Nanny Gong said at such an age, fighting is not respectable if word gets out. Unlike you, I have to consider the reputation of my sons and daughters-in-law, so this time I won’t beat you.”

The old master of the Song Family was displeased, slamming the table as he stood up: ”Why aren’t you considering their reputation? You think you’re the only one who can be a mother? This old man can also be a father.”

”As a father, all you do is hold us back, causing nothing but trouble. How are you fit to be a father? I won’t bring up past issues; just look at this time, look at this entire Capital City, who would behave like you, as a grand father-in-law, sneaking people into a daughter-in-law’s room? Old Song, if you’re not ashamed, I’m embarrassed for you. You’re doing what only a wicked mother-in-law would do, where’s your face?”

The old master of the Song Family felt his scalp tingle, here it comes, here comes her spell, isn’t this cursing just the same as chanting a spell?
