The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 682: Chapter 682: Who Wants to Serve the Big Trotter

Song Ci and Song Ruqian both underestimated Bai Lianhua’s combat strength. Eye drops, even if it’s your own fault, can be used.

Song Zhiqing returned to the Prime Minister’s Mansion reeking of alcohol and went straight to Bai Shuilian’s Serene Garden.

Bai Shuilian was embroidering a belt. Seeing him come in, she quickly stood up and said, ”San Lang is back.” She caught a whiff of alcohol and frowned slightly, saying, ”You’ve been drinking?”

She called for Jing Shui to prepare a bowl of hangover soup and went up to help him take off his cloak.

But Song Zhiqing said, ”Don’t come over. I’m carrying a chill, and your health is weak. Don’t catch a cold.”

Bai Shuilian playfully smiled, ”Am I really that delicate?”

Song Zhiqing stood by the charcoal brazier, watching the silver charcoal burn red, and said, ”It’s very cold these days. Given your sensitivity to cold, you must keep warm. If the silver charcoal runs out, get more from Madam.”

Bai Shuilian clicked her tongue, ”You speak lightly. Each courtyard has a set amount of silver charcoal. How can I just get more if I run out? Wouldn’t that break the rules?”

Song Zhiqing paused slightly and said, ”Then use the private silver to let someone buy more. I’ll have Cheng Yong send some more silver over later.”

Bai Shuilian hesitated and said, ”Wouldn’t that be bad? If Madam found out, this...”

Song Zhiqing’s expression turned a bit unfriendly, ”This is my own private silver. Do I not have the right to dispose of it?”

”Don’t be angry. I’m just worried about causing trouble between you and Madam. You have to deal with colleagues outside, and you also need silver and coins for yourself. Save it for yourself,” Bai Shuilian softly coaxed him.

Song Zhiqing was deeply moved, so considerate and understanding!

He pulled Bai Shuilian to sit next to him on the beauty couch, casually picking up the belt embroidered with auspicious clouds and green bamboo to look at, while enjoying her service and chatting leisurely.

Jing Shui brought a bowl of honey water and said that someone from Madam’s side had sent plum petals.

”Why do you need these plum petals?” Song Zhiqing was somewhat surprised.

Bai Shuilian explained her idea of brewing plum wine and mentioned her intention to ask for some petals from the Plum Garden.

”I didn’t expect that asking for a few petals would offend the eldest young lady. If I had gone a bit later or entered the Plum Garden earlier, such a thing wouldn’t have happened.” Bai Shuilian was a bit anxious, ”San Lang, do you think the eldest young lady would be mad at me for not understanding the rules?”

Song Zhiqing got angry and said, ”Don’t worry. Qian’er is the eldest daughter and very broad-minded. She won’t be mad at you. But you, why were you foolishly waiting for an hour at the courtyard gate when she didn’t see you? Did you get cold?”

”Not cold at all. San Lang, please don’t argue with Madam over this. It was my fault. I only thought about you liking plum wine and didn’t realize Madam might not be willing to part with it.”

Song Zhiyuan reluctantly uttered a ”hmm,” feeling displeased.

Bai Shuilian smiled and changed the subject to their children.

Not long after Song Zhiyuan left, she heard that there was a quarrel coming from the Plum Garden.

Madam Lu was so furious that she laughed coldly and looked at Song Zhiqing, ”She wants the plum petals from this courtyard, so I must immediately give them up? If she wants the position of the official wife, am I supposed to step aside and let her? Ha, I would give it, but I’m afraid she wouldn’t be able to handle it!”

Song Zhiqing’s face froze, ”Where did you get that from? That’s simply unreasonable.”

”Even if I’m unreasonable, I won’t make her suffer in your presence. I disdain doing so,” Madam Lu said coldly, ”All right, I want to rest now. Go settle down in Serene Garden.”

Big pig’s trotter, whoever wants to serve him can go ahead.

Song Zhiqing: ”???”

Was he just kicked out by the main wife?
