The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 669: Chapter 669: The Bad Guy Gets Old

It’s not about whether Song Ci is close or distant, it’s really that Emperor Chu’s move is quite something, hmm, it’s not something anyone decent would do!

Granting the young brother a deposed Commandery Princess as his Official Wife, is he giving him an opportunity to rebel and then taking the chance to deal with him? Or does he just not like him, so he gives him such a wife to disgust him?

You see, getting married without heirs might be fine, but if there are any, wouldn’t they become thorns in the flesh?

So is Emperor Chu intending for Prince Min not to have legitimate children, putting such an ancestor in the place of Official Wife, yet unable to give birth, isn’t this like, well, sitting on the toilet without taking a dump?

Don’t mention anything about appeasement, there are so many noble heirs in the capital, surely there are a few to match that ancestor, is it necessary to sacrifice Prince Min?

What, even the noble heirs avoid it like the plague?

Ha, prosperity or ruin, it’s all the Emperor’s grace, get a grip!

If the Emperor wants you to marry an ancestor, you marry, dare to disobey the decree?

”Tsk tsk, poor Prince Min!” Song Ci clicked his tongue, a bright idea struck him, and he said: ”Nanny Gong, go tell Eunuch Zhou, after returning, pay respects at Cining Palace on my behalf.”

Nanny Gong: ”??”

Song Ci grinned mischievously and said, ”With this marriage gift, the first to blow a fuse will definitely be Princess Consort Ji, with her disposition, she will certainly go to Cining Palace to bother the Empress Dowager. So let the Lady take this opportunity to claim that she needs rest to avoid her.”

So as not to spoil the good mood due to Princess Consort Ji’s intrusion.

Nanny Gong: ”...”

There’s this saying, it’s not that old people are getting bad, it’s that bad people are getting old!

You’re really a mischievous old baby!

Why is it that your enemy understands you the best? Song Ci was spot on with his guess, upon learning who the Official Wife would be, Princess Consort Ji was stunned for a moment, and then gorgeously fainted.

Not even a tea cup later, she woke up and started fussing about entering the palace and demanding an audience with the Emperor and Empress Dowager.

She wanted to see if their hearts were grown soaked in ink, turning so black.

”Change clothes, quickly change my clothes, I must make the Emperor withdraw the edict,” Princess Consort Ji said in a fury, clutching her aching liver.

A perceptive maid went to call Prince Min, who arrived late, by which time Princess Consort Ji was already dressed in her Imperial Concubine formal dress, and had put on her pearl crown.

Seeing her son enter, Princess Consort Ji, with a look of righteous indignation, said, ”My son, don’t worry, Mother Consort will enter the palace, I will definitely make the Emperor retract his order.”

That look of ’don’t be aggrieved, mother will support you’ made Prince Min laugh.

”Mother Consort, don’t hurry, let’s take it slow,” Prince Min went forward and helped Princess Consort Ji’s hand to let her sit down.

How could Princess Consort Ji not be anxious, she stood up as soon as she was pushed down, saying, ”What is there to say, what they are doing is simply not right. I’m going to enter the palace to demand an explanation, you just wait at home, we’ll talk when Mother Consort returns.”

Prince Min hurriedly pulled her back and said, ”Mother Consort, if you enter the palace, it will be awkward for your son. They say both prosperity and ruin are the Emperor’s grace, the imperial marriage is already an honor, do you still want your son to resist the decree?”

”Why not? What kind of person is this Official Wife, even I, a woman who doesn’t understand big principles, knows. Marrying her is like marrying an ancestor, can’t hit, can’t scold. No, this is marrying a deity, the kind you have to worship!” Princess Consort Ji stamped her feet in anger and said, ”We’re supposed to marry a good housewife, not a deity, this imperial order, isn’t it just asking for our lives?”

Have to say, Princess Consort Ji, you hit the nail on the head!
