The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 673: Chapter 673: I Can Teach You How to Behave Anytime!

The Empress Dowager, upon receiving a secret signal from her old friend Song Ci, readily feigned illness to refuse meeting with Princess Consort Ji.

However, both had underestimated Princess Consort Ji’s persistence. Not meeting her?

Fine, just like that, she channeled her inner Snow Arrogant Auntie, saying, ”I know you’re faking illness inside. If you have the guts, come out and explain yourself, let’s hash it out.”

That boorishness drove the Empress Dowager to angrily pound on the kang table.

”Let her in, see how spoiled she is, thinking I’m truly afraid of her? Let her roll in and argue all she wants, I’ll see how many nonsense words she can spout.”

Lian Qiao sighed, truly, you can’t provoke her.

Princess Consort Ji strutted in from outside, seeing the Empress Dowager sitting on the chaise lounge with a ruddy face, she let out a sarcastic laugh.

”Oh, I thought dear sister was too sick to get up. Look at that face, red as a monkey’s butt.”

Once she opened her mouth, words spilled out like a barrage of gunfire, crackling loudly.

The Empress Dowager cast a cold glance at her: ”Princess Consort Ji, have you forgotten where you are, forgotten your own status? Have you forgotten how to speak? Do you need me to jog your memory?”

Princess Consort Ji’s arrogant expression faltered briefly, but she puffed out her ample chest, saying, ”Don’t use your status to oppress me, I’m not afraid of you.”

”Of course, you’re naturally not afraid of me, if you were, you wouldn’t dare to shout and scream at me like some market shrew.” The Empress Dowager sneered at her, ”All these years and you’ve learned nothing; the late emperor dressed you in court robes, but you can’t shake off your base nature. Still a concubine? Ha! Even the women outside are more refined than you.”

Princess Consort Ji was so angry her liver hurt, she laughed harshly.

”I’m a market shrew? That’s right, I come from a farming family, so what, but I’m a descendant of the Ji lineage, and the late emperor said it himself, our Ji family bloodline is noble.” Princess Consort Ji said, ”You think you’re so noble, yet you also lived among the commoners, ate scraps, waded through mud, who is nobler than whom?”

Facing Princess Consort Ji’s mockery, the Empress Dowager suddenly smiled brilliantly, saying, ”Look at you, so aggressive. What if I faint from anger now, will the Imperial Censors accuse you of disrespecting your superiors?”

Princess Consort Ji’s pupils contracted: ”You, you’re shameless!”

”Ji, you’re bold!” The Empress Dowager’s voice was stern and cold, ”Don’t think I’m made of clay, to be shaped at your will without any temper. I allow your impudence for my own amusement. Just see what happens if I tire of your antics.”

”I toy with you because I’m bored. If I weren’t bored, you shouting and calling my name directly would earn you a few slaps, and no one would dare say a word.” The Empress Dowager’s eyes half-closed, ”Ji, don’t push me. If I’m displeased, I’ll teach you a lesson, and when you leave the palace with a swollen face at your age, it’s you and Prince Min who face disgrace.”

Princess Consort Ji was flabbergasted, her face turning green, red, and white, like a spilled paint palette.

After a while, she burst into tears.

”Oh, late emperor, why did you leave so soon, why didn’t you take us with you, rather than leaving us to be humiliated and bullied, boo hoo...”

The Empress Dowager lazily leaned back on the pillow, saying, ”Someone come, massage my legs, serve tea, and shell some seeds!”

This crying performance she must thoroughly enjoy.

Princess Consort Ji: ”...”

Bullied, utterly bullied!
