Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

After waiting in the cave for a few more hours, Qin Min knocked on Wen Yu’s door.

Opening the door and seeing Qin Min’s relaxed expression, Wen Yu smiled, ”So, how was it? The mission was completed fairly well?”

”Very well, very well. Really, thanks to you, without your presence, I couldn’t have convinced those guys on my own.”

Qin Min’s face was full of smiles. It was precisely due to Wen Yu’s help that the subsequent work went surprisingly smoothly.

Wen Yu didn’t say much else, just took the communication device Qin Min handed over and casually put it into his space ring.

The communication device is standard equipment for the Ultimate Force Team, just like when Wen Yu formed the Independents Mutual Aid Federation and handed out communication devices to all members—usually not very useful since Wen Yu himself is not a busybody, and with Tang Haofei enjoying his own fights for now, this communicator would likely be first used when the Origin Extraction Device appeared.

After leaving the communicator, Qin Min took his leave and Wen Yu waited in the room for a few more hours until everyone in the square dispersed and returned to their homes. Only then did Wen Yu leave the room and walked towards the cave entrance along the path he came.

The first meeting of the Ultimate Force Team had come to an end, and Wen Yu’s next target was the information about Soul Pet No. 6 provided by Rahal.

Two months later,

African Continent.

No, it should be said one month later...

Thinking back on the experiences of this past month, and realizing the Level 5 to Level 6 Level Lock would be broken in just a few dozen days, Wen Yu suddenly felt a sense of urgency, as if time was not on his side.

”The Sixth Soul Pet… it’s time to hurry up.”

...

Africa, a ”magical” land!

Before the apocalypse, it was the second-largest continent in the world by both land area and population.

Logically speaking, the overall strength of Africa’s professionists should have been extremely formidable—if not as powerful as Asia, at least presentable.

However, the real situation was nothing like that.

Closing the information booklet in his hand, Wen Yu sighed and shook his head.

Before the apocalypse, the African continent suffered economic depression and constant warfare. With the arrival of the apocalypse, the situation not only failed to improve but worsened significantly!

Once ordinary people gained the power to resist weapons, things became much more complex!

This continent, fragmented by warlords and plagued by unending conflicts, experienced wars between countless large and small factions. When the professionist system emerged, and as individual strength strengthened, those who once fought with guns and artillery transformed into massive superhero melees…

A Justice League vs. Avengers Alliance?

Something like that, but the scale of battles here far surpasses the handful of superheroes in the movies.

In addition, the rich biodiversity in Africa makes these African folks face not only the threat of civil war but also the omnipresent mutant creatures—when large and small groups of mutant creatures, centered around divine beast breeds, formed, how could the situation in Africa be merely described as chaotic?

It wasn’t until the emergence of Eternal Sky City and the opening of the Demon Realm’s Gate that the situation in Africa began to improve.

Lin Haifeng vigorously roped in small countries and tribes in Africa, the losers of power struggles, and independent strongmen. These powerful experts and warriors were transported to Yanjing via Eternal Sky City, dutifully becoming Lin Haifeng’s subordinates—this reduced the scale of human civil wars in Africa.

After the opening of the Demon Realm’s Gate, the greatest adversary to mutant beasts appeared. The entire mutant beast community in Africa, under the influence of an unknown power, united against an external force—this alleviated the beast tide pressure in Africa.

It wasn’t until now that the whole situation settled into place.

The overall power structure in Africa primarily consists of mutant beast groups supplemented by professionists—in terms of both the number of powerful experts and combatant personnel, professionists are far inferior to mutant beasts!

In this land, at this time, mutant beasts finally overwhelmed humans, becoming the new rulers of the land!

...

Wen Yu didn’t use the transportation channel of Eternal Sky City but rode on Star, intending to undertake a journey across half of the Earth.

Star’s speed is truly not slow, even the trip from India to the African continent won’t take too long.

For this trip to Africa, Wen Yu did not inform anyone, even though there are a few major warlords from the African continent among the members of the Ultimate Force Team. Wen Yu had no intention of taking advantage of their convenience—Africa’s most powerful force is the mutant beasts, not these humans, and Wen Yu had no interest in making insincere acquaintances with them.

The scenery along the way was rather nice, with expansive tropical vistas and the vastness of the sea, occasionally witnessing battles between mutant beasts and demon fiends. Wen Yu even saw the Sea Tribe Legion encircling demon fiends.

Whenever these moments occurred, Wen Yu would temporarily stop, offering a hand when possible, treating it as a way to spice up the monotonous journey and gain some extra benefit.

After traveling this way for a day, Wen Yu officially landed on the African shoreline.

Babulu lay prostrate on the ground, his originally dark skin, under the guise of a skill, transformed like a chameleon to a bizarre gray-yellow.

His aura also flickered under the skill’s concealment, and his emaciated body curled into a ball, appearing like a mere ordinary stone. Although not outstanding, such a level of disguise is sufficient to deceive demon fiends and mutant beasts below the Third-level.
