Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

In no time, Siddhartha had finished communicating with the top levels of the Indian government and returned to the room.

Seeing Siddhartha’s expression full of confidence, Wen Yu had a good guess about what was coming—a small surprise from the Indian government’s offer, perhaps.

However, reality delivered a hard slap to Wen Yu!

”Sir, after discussions with our top leaders, it has been decided that if you join the Indian battlefield, we will provide you with one SSS-Class skill scroll, and 50,000 Level 5 magic crystals.”

Wen Yu was momentarily stunned.

Perhaps sensing the ’generosity’ of the government, Siddhartha said to Wen Yu before he could speak, ”I must say, sir, your value is high enough to make the big shots offer this much.”

Seeing Siddhartha’s envious face, Wen Yu swallowed the words he was about to say—one SSS-Class skill scroll, 50,000 magic crystals... If this wasn’t an extra gain, mere offerings like this wouldn’t be worth even a month of Wen Yu’s time...

Wen Yu could pull off all the heads of the Indian government’s top leaders and see if they’re filled with nothing but crap!

However, upon observing Siddhartha’s envious expression, Wen Yu quickly realized that the Indian government wasn’t only stingy with him, but also wasn’t very generous with its own warriors.

This bunch from the Indian government can’t really be blamed for failing to find strong allies—their temperament and demeanor are simply incomparable to Lin Haifeng!

Thinking this, Wen Yu sighed inwardly and didn’t attempt to negotiate for a higher reward; instead, he straightened his posture and stated his final request.

”I need you to provide me with intelligence, and I need you to send more personnel to clean the battlefield for me. Lastly, this is a collaboration, so I won’t take orders from anyone, understand?”

Cleaning the battlefield was nothing more than collecting magic crystals and gathering Demon Beast Corpses. Given Wen Yu’s current strength, he had no interest in rummaging through the mangled corpses for mere magic crystals. Moreover, gathering Demon Beast Corpses together made it easier for the Almighty Demon Vine to absorb and more convenient for Cyclops to feed.

Since these were trivial matters, Siddhartha directly took charge and agreed.

Thus, the negotiation with the Indian Government Army reached a consensus.

...

This time, when Siddhartha bid farewell, Wen Yu made no attempt to stop him. After Siddhartha left, Wen Yu looked directly at Dirang and Xima.

Dirang still had a deadpan expression, while Xima understood that the time Wen Yu had given them was running out. Resolutely, Xima helped Dirang up and walked to Wen Yu’s side.

”Are you ready?”

Xima nodded, showing no reluctance in his expression.

It’s not surprising—looking at Dirang’s state, this Rebel Army must have been a headache for Xima.

Offhandedly setting up a Pitch-dark Screen around the two to block others’ view, Wen Yu took them both downstairs, passed through the ranks of Rebel Army warriors, and approached the Exchange Stone Pillar in the camp.

Lin Haifeng had already granted them the teleportation access to Eternal Sky City. Once in Eternal Sky City, someone would contact Xima and Dirang—what happens after that would be none of Wen Yu’s concern.

...

Seeing the white light flash and the two of them being fully teleported away, Wen Yu finally relaxed, giving the entire Rebel Army camp one last glance.

Within the camp, the bustling of the Rebel Army continued ceaselessly, striving for their great cause, yet utterly unaware that the leader they recognized had already abandoned them.

These people, how pitiful. Thankfully, Xima’s heart was still decent, finding them a ’not going to die immediately’ retreat.

But from Wen Yu’s perspective, their deaths were merely a matter of sooner or later. After the expedition to the Heavenly Palace, Wen Yu understood profoundly that these so-called professionists were just pigs reared by the Dominator, growing robust. The Dominator wouldn’t hesitate to spend decades or hundreds of years allowing these pigs to grow stronger. However, for those who didn’t grow fast enough, their existence and value may have already been lost the moment the Demon Realm’s Gate opened!

So-called rebels, spilling blood and sacrificing heads for freedom, couldn’t even match a stronger being’s word or threat at the end. Revolution, in the eyes of stronger beings, might just be a joke, a farce.

Ants?

Crawlers?

Swine?

No, Wen Yu had no right to place these insulting terms upon those weaker than himself.

Standing from Wen Yu’s perspective, looking at these Rebel Army members was not much different from standing from the Dominator’s perspective, looking at him. Essentially, he was merely a lucky and robust ant in the Dominator’s eyes.

Thinking this, Wen Yu had no further interest in contemplating these people’s fate.

The Netherworld locked onto a nearby small-scale Demon Group, a strange light flashed, and Wen Yu’s figure disappeared.

...

As Siddhartha returned to the Indian government, he also brought back intelligence about Sequence Number 2 entering the fray, which was undoubtedly good news for the Indian government.

This led to a new wave of internal disputes within the Indian government over which defensive sector Sequence Number 2 would handle, who would have the honor of battling alongside Sequence Number 2, and even post-war attempts to recruit Sequence Number 2. Notably, during wartime, Cathay’s military ’centralized system’ was indeed superior to India’s decision-making style.

Of course, this had little to do with Wen Yu. Although he had agreed to participate in the war for the Indian government, this didn’t require him to follow their commands. After leaving the Rebel Army camp, Wen Yu directly began clearing the Demons within India.

It wasn’t until that night that Siddhartha reconnected with Wen Yu and conveyed the Indian government’s decision.

”We will dispatch a hundred-man Elite Squad to clean up the battlefield and convey information for you. The squad should be assembled by tomorrow, rest assured these are our military’s most courageous warriors!”

”And the gathering location?”

”In a small military base outside New Delhi City, here’s the address. Sir, you can go there directly at the time. All operations will happen with communications between the squad leader and you.”

Hanging up the communication, Wen Yu retracted the Tongtian Demon Vine and several soul pets, then turned and left the dense forest.

In the jungle, everything was silent. The deathly still air held a strong, pungent, bloody smell that condensed into faint black fog, with skeletal scale armor scattered on the ground as if narrating a bloody and cruel story.

A whole Demon Tribe Army had just perished here.

However, this was only the beginning.
