Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Quickly raising his right hand, the watch on his wrist clearly informed Wen Yu of the exact time—an experience akin to a dream had just taken one second…

No, including the gesture of raising his hand, the experience must have completed in an instant.

He looked again at Rahal, eyes tightly shut as if extremely fatigued, Wen Yu heavily swallowed a mouthful of saliva.

In his mind, he recalled Lin Na’s description.

”Deity…”

...

The atmosphere in the room was somewhat awkward.

It wasn’t until Rahal’s cough, like a bellows, broke the awkward atmosphere.

Wen Yu gently stroked Rahal’s forehead, the child’s forehead was a little hot, and the tired look seemed to tell of the price paid for just using his ability.

”Are you okay?”

Rahal gently shook his head, then took a deep breath and looked at Wen Yu.

”Are you here to pick me up?”

This question, Rahal just asked once.

Wen Yu hesitated for a moment, then lightly nodded: ”Yes, I’m here to pick you up, do you want to come with me?”

The little head burrowed into the quilt again, leaving only a pair of pitch-black eyes and a broad forehead exposed. After a moment, Rahal gently nodded.

”I want to go with you.”

The anticipated trouble didn’t happen at all.

At this moment, Rahal perfectly cooperated with Wen Yu’s mission!

Wen Yu slowly squinted his eyes.

”Do you know where I’m taking you?”

”I know!”

Rahal’s response was very certain.

”You’re taking me to Cathay, right?”

Wen Yu nodded with a smile: ”Yes, it’s Cathay, do you know Cathay?”

With a deliberately surprised, slightly exaggerated expression—just a way to coax a child.

Sure enough, no matter how magical Rahal was, he was just a six-year-old child.

A look of pride akin to scoring 100 points on a test appeared on the little face, Rahal proudly said to Wen Yu: ”I’ve seen it early on, I saw you flying over from a place full of snow. I know you are here to pick me up. I even specially looked at the place you are taking me to, it’s so beautiful, with lots of delicious food, and without those terrifying big monsters!”

Can he really see…

Wen Yu’s expression moved, showing an even softer smile.

”Would you mind telling brother what you saw?”

...

After all, Rahal is too young and hasn’t had any educational experience—or rather, having lost both parents since childhood, Rahal was unlikely to have received any form of education, so his language expression was somewhat unclear. But Wen Yu guessed and roughly understood the meaning of Rahal’s words.

Rahal can see anything related to himself!

When Wen Yu received Tang Haofei’s communication, Rahal had already seen Wen Yu’s appearance. Moreover, ever since Cathay’s agents stationed in India transmitted Rahal’s information back to the Yanjing Assembly Site, Rahal had already seen the appearance of the Yanjing Assembly Site.

Just as Rahal said—it’s so beautiful, with lots of delicious food, and without those terrifying big monsters!

A certain degree of omniscience…

Coupled with the earlier ”wishing machine.”

The term deity is not excessive—a deity implies omniscience, implies omnipotence…

Broadly perceiving Rahal’s ability, Wen Yu took a deep breath but his expression remained unchanged, still smiling brightly at Rahal.

”Now brother is going to take you away, are you willing?”

Rahal’s head nodded nonstop, but then frowned, his face displaying a hesitant expression, cautiously asking Wen Yu: ”Can I bring Dirang and Xima together?”

”Of course, once you’re in Cathay, you can bring your friends over.”

Wen Yu told a not-quite-true lie—given Rahal’s ability, Wen Yu believed Lin Haifeng would satisfy this not-really-a-wish of his.

However…

Wen Yu licked the corner of his mouth, a flash of deep-seated greed passed through his eyes.

Whether or not to give this child to Lin Haifeng was another matter, at least Wen Yu had to carefully assess Rahal’s skills before deciding.

...

After dressing Rahal, Wen Yu held Rahal’s small hand, swaggering all the way out of the Rebel Army camp.

Even though the Heaven-covering Robe couldn’t hide Rahal’s whereabouts, Wen Yu used a simple Pitch-dark Screen, more than enough to fool those weaklings with low skills.

Once far enough from the camp, Wen Yu slowed his pace, picked up Rahal in one arm, and took out the communicator with the other hand.

Slowly dialed Lin Na’s communication, on the other end the voice quickly came through.

”Master, succeeded?”

”Hmm, not yet, things have taken an unexpected turn, I hope you can temporarily postpone the meeting time.”

”But…”

Lin Na’s hesitation was decisively interrupted by Wen Yu: ”I’ll notify you of the specific time later, alright, that’s it!”

An independent notification, or rather a command, no room for negotiation!

Without waiting for Lin Na to react, Wen Yu had already hung up the communication.

His lips curved into a gentle smile, Wen Yu lightly tossed Rahal in his arms: ”What do you want to eat? Brother will take you to eat till you’re full!”

Rahal instantly became excited, bouncing around in Wen Yu’s arms: ”I want to eat curry lamb and flatbread, and thali, and…”

A heap of names of traditional Indian food were said by Rahal, then remembered by Wen Yu.

Patting Rahal’s head lightly, Wen Yu took Rahal, seemingly slow but actually exceedingly fast, flying towards New Delhi.

...

On the chaotic streets of New Delhi.

The tall and small figures walking leisurely along the street.

In stark contrast to the hurried pedestrians, the two strolled leisurely, seemingly walking in a different time and space, and people passing by seemed indifferent to the two. Yet whenever close to them, they involuntarily changed direction.

On the crowded street, the two figures felt no sense of being cramped amidst the sea of people.

”Alright, brother gives you to eat.”

A large chunk of lamb was stuffed into Wen Yu’s mouth by Rahal, Wen Yu chewed the food big bites, delicious meat juices bursting in his mouth, rich aromas filling his taste buds.

Enjoyment?

Comfortable?

Relaxation?

All in all.

Wen Yu, extremely sensitive to Energy Fluctuations, inhaled the naturally emitted fragrant aroma from Rahal’s body, squinting his eyes slightly.

”Human race affinity? Or life form affinity?”

Roughly that kind of ability, Rahal does indeed exude certain strange auras—similar to Natural Charm, without malicious intent, nor very strong, just making people uncontrollably close to Rahal.

For this feeling, Wen Yu does not resist…
