Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

”Ah...”

A big yawn escaped from Wen Yu’s mouth.

After a long period of tension, a bout of hand-to-hand combat indeed brought Wen Yu a rare sense of comfort.

Over a hundred Level 5 magic crystals spent, a trifle for Wen Yu, yet it brought Grace’s full smile and a thrilling wake-up service.

It must be said, Grace is indeed a smart woman. After receiving the due reward, she gave Wen Yu a big blown kiss for free, and decisively left the hotel at dawn.

An exchange that left both parties happy and satisfied, from now on they owe each other nothing. Perhaps there’ll be a next time? Who knows.

The absurdity of last night was completely wiped out from Wen Yu’s mind. He got up from bed, washed and dressed, then walked out of the room, heading to the dining hall.

...

The work of a special agent is always busy.

Of course, strictly speaking, agents are divided into field and desk roles, and Lin Na clearly belongs to the desk—basically, the kind that sits in an office.

But this office isn’t easy at all, responsible for arranging personnel, sorting intelligence, coordinating relationships, all sorts of tasks keeping Lin Na endlessly busy.

Yet, Lin Na would never forget the most important detail—intelligence about Rahal!

Major Wang Chenglin was captured.

Major Wang Chenglin was controlled.

Major Wang Chenglin took Dirang to pick up Rahal.

Bad news came one after another, however, things always have two sides.

When Rahal is on his own, finding a small child among a sea of people is not a simple task, especially when the child has some kind of bizarre power.

Yet when Rahal was picked up by Dirang, the difficulty in finding the Rebel Army was reduced significantly.

As the second largest native force in India, the Rebel Army’s movements aren’t entirely without traces.

The efficiency of the Cathay Special Agent Organization was fully realized at this moment!

...

The breakfast at Noida Hotel was decent, at least much better than Wen Yu gnawing on rations alone in the wilderness.

Cake, roast meat, soup, a large plate of each item, in such bleak times, Wen Yu resolutely released three soul pets in the empty dining hall.

Good things have to be shared, right?

Thus when Lin Na walked into the dining hall, what she saw was a chaotic scene of cats flying, dogs jumping, and a Giant Dragon roaring.

As Sequence Number 2, Wen Yu could barely be considered a public figure, at least within the Cathay Special Agent Organization, there was indeed comprehensive intelligence about Wen Yu.

The profession of Soul Master was certainly recorded in the files of Cathay Special Agent Organization.

Lin Na was somewhat curious about the unruly soul pets jumping around, wrecking the food—according to intelligence, Wen Yu’s three soul pets at Sequence Number 2, were all peak Level 5 super mutant beasts (outdated intelligence), and even two among them were of the divine beast kind!

So, Lin Na slowed her footsteps intentionally, trying to observe more closely the majestic stance of the divine beasts.

However, what majestic stance could Star and Victor possibly have?

What Lin Na could see was nothing but a typical cat-and-dog fight—a gray dog chasing a black cat all over the place, a Giant Dragon in its miniature state, with roast meat in its mouth, watching the everyday drama.

Until Wen Yu, sitting in the corner of the dining hall, saw Lin Na.

”Here.”

Wen Yu waved to Lin Na, then glanced at the mess in the dining hall, bluntly saying: ”Looks like you’ll have to prepare your own food.”

Lin Na was speechless.

Who knows whose territory this is...

...

Lin Na placed the file she was holding on the table and elegantly sat in the chair opposite Wen Yu.

A striking appearance coupled with an exquisite outfit, particularly the aura of a strong woman Lin Na exuded, all contributing to her radiance.

Yet, much like the dullness that follows a man’s burst of energy, Wen Yu wasn’t any kind of stallion, Lin Na, despite being obviously superior to Grace, couldn’t capture Wen Yu’s attention, nor could she ignite Wen Yu’s passion.

Thus, he went straight to business.

”Have you located them?”

Then Wen Yu stuffed a big piece of something resembling a grilled cake into his mouth.

”Not yet...”

”Then what are you doing here?”

Wen Yu’s tone was extremely impatient, hanging around him for no reason, if not with some agenda then what else?

Considering he’s in a good mood today, otherwise, when not in a good mood, he would’ve slapped these folks so hard their faces would turn to a pulp!

Lin Na was momentarily taken aback, a surge of frustration surfaced, red streaks quickly spread across her cheeks. No wonder the files claimed Wen Yu had a personality defect; his temper indeed was huge.

Taking a deep breath, Lin Na calmed her mood and flipped open the file in front of her, speaking to Wen Yu in the manner of a broadcaster.

”We’ve got a lead on Rahal’s whereabouts. According to the information from our field agents, once Rahal was picked up by Dirang, it seems Dirang possibly placed Rahal at one of the Rebel Army’s bases. Although the Rebel Army’s rebellion failed, their overall strength has been preserved. Currently, there are 82 known Rebel Army bases, and our special agents are checking each one.”

After finishing this sentence, Lin Na closed the file and added: ”This will take time.”

”How long?”

”Unsure.”

Wen Yu swallowed the food, put down the knife and fork, his fingertip gently tapping the table, and after a while, Wen Yu looked up, gazing at Lin Na.

”No need for such troubles, you can track down Dirang’s location, right?”

Lin Na hesitated for a moment, yet nodded—though Dirang’s movements were secret, with the name Sequence Number 83, however hidden, traces would emerge.

In India, Sequence-class powerful experts are rare, except in Yanjing, nowhere are Sequence-class experts plentiful, for these agents, these Sequence-class experts shine like the Sun.

”Find his location, then let me know, I’ll make him reveal Rahal’s whereabouts.”

Lin Na suddenly realized.

To the Cathay Special Agent Organization, Sequence-class powerful experts couldn’t be touched at all, but to Wen Yu, they were just bigger minnows.

Thinking of this, Lin Na stood up, expressing slightly gratefully to Wen Yu: ”Thank you for your assistance, sir.”

Wen Yu waved his hand.

He merely wanted to repay the favor early.

...

The efficiency of Cathay Intelligence Agency is undoubtedly powerful.

By the time Wen Yu finished breakfast, Lin Na’s side already had preliminary information.

Looking at the map in his hand, a large black mark was prominently highlighted on it.

Lin Na beside him explained: ”This is the headquarters of the Rebel Army, and just three minutes ago, Dirang appeared here.”
