Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Wen Yu had previously hinted at this issue to Siddhartha. With the immense power Wen Yu had showcased over the last half month, Siddhartha didn’t hesitate to take out a space ring.

”Skills and magic crystals are all inside.”

Upon receiving the ring and taking a quick glance, Wen Yu noticed the number of magic crystals was accurate. The Indian Government wouldn’t deceive him on such trivial matters. What caught his attention was the lone SSS-Class skill.

Blood Defeat Militarization (SSS-Class, Active Skill): Consumes a large amount of one’s own blood to coagulate into a weapon of any form (the form of the weapon can be decided by the host). The more blood consumed, the more powerful the weapon. Each time the weapon hits an enemy unit, it greatly exhausts the enemy’s stamina based on the injuries caused by the weapon and temporarily lowers the enemy’s physical attributes.

Not bad, quite suitable for Cyclops. After the Heavenly Palace journey, Wen Yu had indeed strengthened his power to an unbelievable level, but the skills of his three soul pets hadn’t seen much improvement.

Star could acquire the Mountain Observing Technique, Cyclops got a rather useless Destruction (SS-Class, Passive Skill), and Victor got nothing.

But after two transactions, Cyclops gained Blood and Flesh Balance Scale and Blood Defeat Militarization. Plus, with Cyclops’s feast over the past half month, it’s predictable that after reaching Level 6, Cyclops would see a significant increase in combat power.

Putting away the space ring Siddhartha handed him, Wen Yu rarely smiled.

”Pleasant cooperation. If there’s a chance, I hope there will be a next time.”

Wen Yu found another way to make a fortune. Of course, if there’s a next time, Wen Yu must check the skills first to avoid getting useless items---it must be said, the reward from the Indian Government this time was quite a lucky coincidence.

Upon hearing Wen Yu’s words, Siddhartha also smiled sincerely. During the half-month cooperation, Siddhartha clearly realized the extent of power this top expert of the Human Race possessed.

Maintaining a good relationship with Sequence Number 2 might be the top priority for the Indian Government recently.

So.

”A pleasant cooperation, India is always open for you!”

...

After settling temporarily at the base, it wasn’t until midnight that all three soul pets returned to the base.

By merely looking at the crazily soaring points, Wen Yu knew it was another bountiful day.

The miniaturized Cyclops, holding a space ring filled with magic crystals, wobbled over to Wen Yu, handing over the day’s harvest—not just the magic crystals, but more importantly, Cyclops’s transformation.

Compared to the logistics team, Wen Yu, as the master, could better notice the changes the Great Feast had brought to Cyclops—besides Cyclops’s mouth and digestive system, its skin and claws had also undergone significant changes.

The gray fur stood up stiffly and sharply, resembling a porcupine. Meanwhile, Wen Yu noticed small, barely visible scars on the skin beneath Cyclops’s fur, or rather, cracks.

Not external injuries, but almost like shedding skin—as if it were a snake.

Through the tiny cracks, Wen Yu could vaguely see a strange sheen shining through.

Scale armor had already formed underneath.

And Cyclops’s claws, with their sharp nails, had disappeared, but Wen Yu knew that Cyclops could now simply manipulate its inner bones to slightly change not only its claws but even its teeth.

Just fifteen days of intensive hunting, and Cyclops had completely transformed!

Although it had become ugly, even bizarre, Wen Yu knew well that outward appearance is merely a difference in aesthetic views—superficial. Even if Cyclops turned into a monster, Wen Yu wouldn’t mind such useless external aesthetics.

What’s more important is combat capability. The Great Feast is not just about raising the limits of physical fitness and species innate talent, but also about a holistic transformation of the body, even transcending species, merging strengths from various species.

Insect-like exoskeleton armor…

Highly lethal acidic bodily fluids…

Bone manipulation ability from Bone Demons…

Even the flexibility of snakes, the agility of felines, and the potential to grow wings or even gills for underwater breathing.

Until ultimately, forging a flawless killing machine!

Patting Cyclops’s forehead, Wen Yu could feel the stiffness of Cyclops’s fur even with his current strength.

”Get some sleep; there’s a big battle ahead tomorrow!”

Seeing all three soul pets obediently fall asleep, Wen Yu also closed his eyes.

A night passed without words.

...

Early the next morning, Wen Yu greeted Siddhartha, formally announcing the end of this cooperation, and then rode Star, flying swiftly towards southern India.

Star’s speed was incredibly fast; it didn’t take long to cross most of India.

From afar, Wen Yu could sense the overwhelming Demonic Qi in the distance. As the Demon Camp drew nearer, the stench grew thicker, and the ground was littered with the remains of various creatures and occasional demon fiend squads. As he approached a certain distance, even the vegetation on the ground began to thin until it completely vanished.

The earth was dry and cracked, with fragmented ravines resembling scars on the ground, impossible to see the bottom when looking down from the cracks.

An absolute dead silence.

Utter devastation.

Wherever the demon plague passed, not a single blade of grass could survive!

This is the destructive power of the Demon Tribe, also their means of breaking the Level Lock—plants, even microorganisms, are also a form of Earth’s native life.

Due to such tactics by the Demon Tribe, no matter how hard Earth’s lifeforms strive, the Level Lock isn’t going to hold. Breaking the Level Lock, for the Demon Tribe, is merely a matter of time.

The Demon Realm’s Gate had been open for over two months. By this point, the Level Lock from Level 5 to Level 6 had already started to show cracks.

Recalling the military map he saw yesterday, Wen Yu found a hidden location not far from the Demon Camp, commanded Star to descend to the ground, and casually set up a pitch-dark barrier to block off images and auras, then sat cross-legged on the ground.

”Protect my body.”

After giving this command to his three soul pets, Wen Yu slowly closed his eyes.

In the next moment, the Soul Battlefield activated!

...

Soul Power enveloped Wen Yu’s body, and with the activation of the Soul Battlefield, Wen Yu’s Soul Body slowly floated outside. Without the barrier of the flesh, Wen Yu instantly felt his perception abilities significantly enhanced.

Glancing back at his physical body and the three soul pets guarding by his side, Wen Yu lightly moved his body, and a surge of immense Soul Power burst forth.

The three soul pets guarding by Wen Yu’s side only felt a chill that seemed to pierce their souls, causing them to shiver.

In the Soul Out-of-body State, Wen Yu was finally serious!

Then, with a thought, Wen Yu’s Soul Body effortlessly overcame the effect of Earth’s gravity, speeding towards the Demon Camp in the distance.

The Soul Body is invisible, undetectable, untouchable, much like a ghost. Even if sensed, the Soul Battlefield enveloping the Soul Body can immunize against all attacks except for Spirit-based esoteric level skills; in this state, it’s even safer than the invisibility of the Heaven-covering Robe.

Moreover, in the Soul Body state, Wen Yu can anytime expand the Soul Battlefield’s coverage area, forcibly pull out an opponent’s soul to engage in an unequal Soul War, and even momentarily pass through the Soul Battlefield’s barrier to directly damage the opponent’s flesh—this was a technique the Demon Lord once demonstrated to Wen Yu, an advanced application of Soul Leave Body techniques.

Of course, Wen Yu isn’t yet proficient with this one-sided offensive method the Demon Lord once displayed, or perhaps his Soul Strength still isn’t enough. The Soul Body forcing its way through the Soul Battlefield could lead to him being forcibly pulled back to his body in just a few minutes—after all, this doesn’t belong to skills but techniques, and techniques always require foundation and learning to improve.
