Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Less than 50 kilometers outside New Delhi City is a secret military base which is the ”temporary stronghold” promised by the Indian Government to Wen Yu.

India, even before the apocalypse, was considered a military powerhouse, so the conditions of this temporary base are naturally quite favorable.

More importantly, the Indian Government holds the collaboration with Wen Yu in high regard, having transferred all military personnel away from the base, turning it into a facility solely serving Wen Yu — attitude is crucial, and for Wen Yu, India’s service has been satisfactory.

Wen Yu, of course, did not disappoint the Indian Government’s expectations.

In just about fifteen days, Wen Yu thoroughly plowed through the Demon Group within India — according to later statistics, the fifteen days of slaughter by Wen Yu eliminated at least twenty percent of the Demons in India.

Moreover, it is predictable that as long as Wen Yu wishes, he alone can solve the demon plague that has been a headache for the Indian Government!

Individual strength completely eclipsing group organizations — a group organized on a national basis!

It must be said, the harvest from the journey to Heavenly Palace was indeed immense!

Unfortunately, just yesterday, a phone call from Tang Haofei shattered the Indian Government’s dream of continuing cooperation with Wen Yu.

The call was short, Tang Haofei only left a message: ”The second favor, three days later, meet Qin Min at the Cathay-Indian border, he will tell you the specifics of this favor!”

Tang Haofei was cryptic, and before Wen Yu could inquire further, he had already hung up the call, but predictably, it seemed to be what Fran referred to as the ”Ultimate Force Team” affair.

As a result, the plan to hunt Demons in India inevitably had to be halted three days later.

In the remaining three days, Wen Yu deliberated and decided to go big.

Hence, Wen Yu focused his attention on the Demon Tribe headquarters stationed in the Battle Zone India.

Southern Region!

…

In the brightly lit war room, Siddhartha was briefing Wen Yu in detail about the intelligence concerning the Southern Region.

”Southern Region is a collective term for the southern part of India. Before the apocalypse, this term didn’t exist, but since the arrival of the demon plague, the southern part of India’s demon plague has been particularly fierce, the government army couldn’t withstand the demons of the Southern Region, leading to its fall, now, it is the main base of the Demons.”

”According to our intelligence, currently, the Southern Region is home to a Demon Group over a million strong, with generally high levels. Known intelligence suggests that within this group, there are at least thirty to forty demon spawns and three Limit Breakthrough Level Demons.”

”This is just on the outskirts!”

Listening to Siddhartha’s description, Wen Yu leisurely took a sip of coffee.

This absent-minded attitude interrupted Siddhartha’s brief introduction — Siddhartha too could see that Wen Yu didn’t take the so-called Southern Region seriously.

The dozens of demon spawns and Limit Breakthrough Level Demons, in Wen Yu’s eyes, were just a bunch of lambs waiting to be slaughtered.

The reason Wen Yu didn’t take these Demons seriously was due to the issue of the Demon’s advancement method — Demons, unlike professionists, advance similarly to mutant beasts.

Devour flesh, then evolve, then automatically awaken skills.

This also means that for Demons, having Limit Breaking Abilities entirely depends on talent and luck.

However, this isn’t the main point; the main point is that the Demon Realm and Earth are different. In the Demon Realm, there is no Level Lock, which means Demon advancement is straightforward — once physical condition reaches the peak, as long as enough flesh energy is absorbed, one can automatically level up.

But sometimes, speed isn’t always a good thing!

Because enhancing physical condition limits through Limit Breaking Abilities almost entirely relies on ”accumulation,” and without a Level Lock, accumulating physical condition limits at Level 5 provides no advantage over Level 10 — for most conventional creatures, unless necessary, leveling up is preferable to rapidly enhance actual combat power; that’s the wise choice.

The professionist system does not involve laying a solid foundation.

Thus, the strength of level 5 Limit Breakthrough Level Demons currently appearing on Earth seems utterly weak in Wen Yu’s eyes!

Of course, some particularly unique Demons or some Demon Tribe specially nurtured ”Deadly Weapons” could perhaps contend with Wen Yu at level 5, but the chance is so slim that after giving it a simple thought, Wen Yu dismissed this idea.

Necessary caution still must be maintained, and concerning this aspect, Wen Yu has his own solutions.

Compared to Limit Breakthrough Level demon spawns, there is another aspect more worthy of Wen Yu’s attention.

”Have you found any war weapons in the Demon’s main base?”

Siddhartha shook his head: ”There’s no intelligence on this.”

This expected response indicates that if the Indian Government had the capability to penetrate enemy lines, the battlefield in India wouldn’t be in such disarray.

However, just because the Indian Government can’t locate, doesn’t mean Wen Yu can’t either, after a bit of consideration, Wen Yu already had a rough plan regarding the Demon Tribe’s war tools.

Thinking to this point, Wen Yu lost interest in continuing his conversation with Siddhartha, he roughly scanned the military map on the table, memorized the distribution of the Demon Tribe, then spoke to Siddhartha.

”I will leave after clearing the Southern Region, well, if the Southern Region turns out to be extremely hazardous, I might not proceed, but regardless, our collaboration ends here, the compensation you’ve prepared, right?”
