Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

This involves the intensity of a limit-breaking ability and the time of obtaining it. As for Siddhartha’s limit-breaker ability, it’s just so-so...

Of course, it can’t be ruled out that some high-level officials are so terrified of death, fearing they might get killed by Sequence Number 2, that they deliberately push themselves forward as a potential sacrifice.

...

Watching the increasingly closer shantytown in the distance, Siddhartha seemed to be staring at the gates of hell, his steps even becoming hesitant.

Until a peculiar energy wave flashed across Siddhartha’s body, instantly enveloping his surroundings with immense power.

The ubiquitous strange energy instantly restrained Siddhartha’s abilities. Subsequently, Siddhartha felt a tremendous force pulling his body; in less than one second, the scenery before him had drastically changed!

Directly ahead, a familiar and yet unfamiliar Cathay man lounged on a sofa sipping red wine, while slightly farther, the rebel army leader, Dirang, was slumped in a large office chair, eyes blankly staring at the ceiling.

Siddhartha’s mouth twitched twice as he cautiously examined Sequence Number 2’s face, which he had only seen in documents.

He didn’t look very old, and as for appearance... it’s difficult for an Indian to comment on the appearance of Cathay nationals, so Siddhartha had no descriptive words, only saying he’s a normal person. Yet the leisurely smile on his face showed no trace of joy, anger, sadness, or happiness, causing Siddhartha’s heart to be uneasy.

Who knows why this man called the Indian government here...

Luckily, Wen Yu’s words dispelled Siddhartha’s wild thoughts.

”Name?”

”Siddhartha.”

”You’re India’s limit-breaker achiever, right?”

Siddhartha hesitated for a moment but still nodded.

Seeing Siddhartha nod, Wen Yu seemed to gain interest, leaning slightly forward: ”How many breakthrough achievers do you have in India?”

”Just me.”

Heartbeat calm, breathing steady, no fluctuations in spiritual wave.

So, no lies.

Upon hearing this, Wen Yu squinted his eyes, scrutinizing Siddhartha.

About 4000 points of physical attributes, not very impressive, but after all, they are beings with limit-breaking abilities. In real combat, they are far stronger than peak Level 5 professionists.

But...

Still too weak...

India hasn’t had someone like Lin Haifeng with great wisdom and power, nor Tang Haofei, the Son of Earth with cheats. Now looking at it, the strength gap between two countries with nearly equivalent populations has unknowingly widened.

No wonder the Demon Tribe chooses India as their next target — densely populated, large numbers, weak strength. Who else to attack but India?

...

After a quick assessment of the overall strength of the Indian military, Wen Yu quickly lost interest in this topic.

He pointed to another sofa, signaling Siddhartha to sit down, and then spoke.

”This time, I called the Indian government to send someone over because of Rahal. You know Rahal has been taken by me, right?”

Siddhartha nodded.

”Rahal has already been sent to the Yanjing Assembly Site, so don’t find me for this matter anymore. Go back and tell your government officials, any issues, talk to Lin Haifeng.”

Wen Yu subtly sold Lin Haifeng out a little bit, yet with Rahal in hand, Lin Haifeng surely has ways to respond to Indian government’s challenges.

Basically, just political wrangling — everything still needs to be spoken with facts.

Siddhartha was not alarmed by this, but rather the other meaning hidden in Sequence Number 2’s words.

According to known intelligence, Sequence Number 2 doesn’t have a good relationship with the Yanjing side, but now it seems not quite like that.

The truth, however, was just Wen Yu repaying Tang Haofei’s favor...

Wen Yu ignored Siddhartha’s wild thoughts, continuing: ”Before Rahal left, he asked me to pick up Dirang and Xima to Yanjing, and this time I called you here to study the placement issue for other members of the rebel army. This matter will be discussed with you by the persons concerned!”

After Wen Yu finished speaking, he glanced at Xima, and seeing Xima’s pleading eyes, Wen Yu seemed to see Rahal’s adorable smile.

Thus, Wen Yu added another remark.

”Your negotiation will be witnessed by me, and I hope you will keep your word.”

To Wen Yu, just one sentence is enough to dispel the Indian government’s little moves.

...

At this moment, Dirang had long lost interest in dealing with such ”big matters,” so Xima decisively took the lead for the rebel army.

Seeing Xima sit next to him, negotiating rapidly with Siddhartha, and Siddhartha already took out a tablet to transmit Xima’s terms back to Indian officials in real-time — the rebel army issue still needs to be settled by the Indian top leadership, combined with Wen Yu being present, it undoubtedly poses a significant deterrent to the Indian government.

The negotiation went smoothly...

Wen Yu didn’t listen to the specific content carefully, nor did he need to care about these miscellaneous topics. Ultimately, when Wen Yu finished off a whole bottle of red wine, the negotiation was successfully completed. Seeing Xima’s satisfied expression, the rebel army created by Dirang should have a fairly decent destination.

”No issues, sir.”

Feeling pleased, Xima said to Wen Yu with a smile, and Wen Yu nodded, taking out his communicator to directly contact Lin Haifeng, requesting him to open the teleportation permissions to Eternal Sky City for Xima and Dirang — in the absence of special purposes, teleportation of Eternal Sky City is indeed convenient.

Lin Haifeng had no reason to refuse either. Recruiting powerful experts, then bringing their families to Yanjing, has been a normal strategy for the Cathay Government. Besides, Rahal’s family members are Dirang, this Sequence-class powerhouse. The buy-one-get-one-free deal would be strange if Lin Haifeng let it slip...

...

Seeing the end of this negotiation, Siddhartha finally breathed a sigh of relief, bowing to Wen Yu who hung up the communicator: ”Sir, if there’s nothing else, I’ll leave first.”

It must be said, being with Wen Yu was quite stressful for Siddhartha.

However, Wen Yu raised an eyebrow.

”Leave? To where?”

Siddhartha’s mood instantly tightened, cautiously saying: ”Sir, hasn’t the matter been concluded?”

Wen Yu gave Siddhartha a strange look: ”Matter? You’re talking about their matter... such trivialities are not the main reason for me calling you here.”

After saying that, Wen Yu signaled Siddhartha to return to his seat, poured himself another glass of red wine, and after a while, he asked Siddhartha, ”Currently, the situation inside India is not very good, right?”

...

Siddhartha was silent for a moment, then nodded, the tone somewhat less respectful but heavier.

”The situation within India is indeed troublesome. Although there are many Demon Fiends, our Indian soldiers are also numerous, coupled with powerful experts from global support, the overall situation appears evenly matched.”

”However, as insiders within the Indian military, we know these are only surface phenomena. The subsequent army and war potential of the Demon Fiends are overwhelmingly strong! Their forces can replenish two for every one killed, whereas we are fighting less. Conservatively estimated, if the war continues at the current pace, within ten years, we’ll be crushed by the Demon Fiends!”

Ten years, this time sounds long enough, but in terms of racial warfare, it’s merely equivalent to a small phase --- you must know Siddhartha is referring to the world’s second-largest human power!

After listening to Siddhartha’s words, Wen Yu’s eyebrows slightly raised.

”In other words, you need support?”

”Exactly! More warriors, more firepower, and more powerful experts! There is a shortage of powerful experts in India’s high-end battlefield, and every time India faces limit-breaker level Demon Fiends or Demon Tribe’s war apparatus, we have to risk our lives to counter. Not to mention, three divine beast species have already perished within India!”

When talking about warfare, Siddhartha became much more solemn and earnest.

Siddhartha’s war report made the people present collectively fall silent.

After a while, Wen Yu finally broke the silence, revealing his true intentions.

”So, how do you estimate the hiring costs for your powerful experts?”

Upon hearing Wen Yu’s question, Siddhartha’s eyes lit up.

The insinuation from Wen Yu couldn’t be clearer — under the condition of hire, Sequence Number 2 can join the Indian battlefield!

This is extremely good news for the entire Indian presence.

Thus, Siddhartha, excited, said to Wen Yu: ”I need to consult the senior leadership for this!”

Wen Yu nodded, watching Siddhartha walk out of the room, but inside, he was overjoyed.

After all, killing Demon Fiends is killing them anyway, so why not seize the opportunity to earn some war profits?
