Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

The soul body drifted, gradually moving away from the area where the three soul pets were hiding, and floated toward the place where the demonic qi was most intense.

The reason for employing the Soul Battlefield was precisely the method Wen Yu thought of yesterday to deal with this Demon Camp— infiltration, reconnaissance, even assassination.

There’s no better means of infiltration than the soul out-of-body state—even though it’s unlikely there’s anything threatening in the camp, Wen Yu still maintained basic caution.

Wen Yu didn’t know if the Demon Tribe would have anything beyond his imagination, so it was very necessary to first observe the structure and trump card of the Demon Camp.

...

Although the soul body floated, its actual speed was even faster than when Wen Yu advanced at full speed in his physical form!

Perfectly blending into the air without causing the slightest ripple, it didn’t take long before the distant Demon Tribe’s main camp on the India battlefield came into view from afar.

As Wen Yu floated closer and closer, the entire view of the distant Demon Camp gradually came into Wen Yu’s sight.

The outermost layer was densely packed with Soot Skin Demon Fiends crowded together, disorderly and completely lacking any semblance of military discipline—these Soot Skin Demon Fiends, like the termites of the Demon Realm, with their extraordinary breeding ability and low intelligence, became the indisputable largest tribe in the Demon Realm and an inexhaustible supply of cannon fodder!

Occasionally, some Soot Skin Demon Fiends could not suppress their desire to kill and either alone or in groups would run towards the distance.

The Demon Tribe treated these Soot Skin Demon Fiends as a herd of animals, free-ranging them—so long as they were brought to Earth, this greedy trash would bravely fight for food.

At the same time, these guys were also the culprits for destroying Earth’s ecological environment— they would eat everything except stones!

Hovering in the sky, Wen Yu made a rough estimate of the number of Soot Skin Demon Fiends below and then averted his gaze, continuing to float inward.

Beyond the Soot Skin Demon Group lay what was truly the base of the Demon Tribe.

...

Countless tents were haphazardly set up on the ground, with scores of bizarre looking demon fiends coming and going; it was only here that it somewhat resembled a military camp.

Wen Yu descended from the sky, and in his soul out-of-body state, no matter what level of demon fiends they were, they couldn’t see Wen Yu’s figure. Using this concealment, Wen Yu made his way, observing as he went along, and in no time reached the very center of the Demon Clan’s Camp.

Ahead, three Demon Realm’s Gates were arranged in a triangular formation, towering into the clouds. Various demon fiends swarmed out from the Demon Realm’s Gate, followed by filling into several regiments according to racial strength under orders from high-level demon fiends.

Both in numbers and in quality, the demon fiends emerging from these three Demon Realm’s Gates far exceeded those from other gates elsewhere in India.

After observing for quite a while, Wen Yu left from there and headed to another place.

...

”General Hada, General!”

A shout from an Ancient Demon in the distance made Hada pull away from his hectic military arrangements.

”Leave this to you, ensure the newly arrived warriors are properly settled.”

”Yes, General.”

After assigning the task, Hada turned his head to the approaching Ancient Demon.

”What is it?”

”General, you’re about to be late for today’s military meeting.”

The Ancient Demon’s reminder jolted Hada, and he glanced at the Sun. Hada chuckled self-deprecatingly; the number of reinforcements arriving from the Demon Realm today was overwhelming, and as the Camp Quartermaster, he was so busy that he almost forgot today’s military meeting.

Thinking of this, Hada gave a few more instructions to his adjutant and then headed toward the distant Demonic Clan’s Barrack.

...

The management system of the Demon Tribe was still relatively complete. This barrack, where nearly a hundred thousand demon fiends poured out of the Demon Realm’s Gate daily, constituted an unthinkably massive army, requiring a great many people to manage—logistics, strategic planning, and even hosting some super powerful experts from the Demon Tribe Army.

In summary, within this barrack, from the highest-ranking officers to the lowest-ranked quartermasters, there were quite a few officials of various sorts.

Being the chief logistic officer of the camp, Hada’s status and position were not low.

Weaving through the dense groups of demon fiends, Hada made his way along the erratic paths and soon reached the meeting place—a nondescript tent.

Inside, a disorderly meeting had already begun.

...

Hada slipped into the tent, nodded at the other eight demon fiends already seated as a greeting, then casually found a seat to sit down.

This meeting sounded grand, but it was actually just a simple routine daily report meeting—the truly capable had already led troops out or ventured into the depths of India alone. These so-called generals had grand titles, but their combat abilities were not particularly strong.

The entire meeting was lengthy and convoluted; Hada, having finished his report, was drowsy until a sense of urgency bubbled in his stomach, making him snap back to attention. Seeing the highest commanding officer of the camp speak energetically without showing any sign of stopping, Hada couldn’t help but lightly clear his throat, drawing the commander’s attention.

”Sorry, sir, the military said they’d send over two pieces of heavy artillery today, and by my calculations, they should be arriving soon. I should go take a look.”

Perhaps being a bit peeved at Hada cutting him off, the commander waved his hand heavily, signaling his agreement to Hada’s request. Hada then left the tent in relief and quickly headed outside.
