”Once this happens, I will communicate with the guardians of the treasure land, immediately open the entrance to the outpost treasure land, and let the troops of other countries and organizations come in.”

Upon hearing Lin Haifeng’s words, all the officers present looked at Lin Haifeng in surprise.

In their eyes, the entire outpost treasure land was essentially the private property of the Cathay military. Sharing this treasure land with other countries was an unimaginable act in the minds of most people present.

However, after a simple cost-benefit analysis, almost everyone agreed with the idea.

The longer the treasure land existed, the more time the military had to train, and correspondingly, the greater the benefits the military could obtain.

If they couldn’t resist the attack of the Demon Fiends, instead of giving up the treasure land, it would be better to invite reinforcements, holding out for as long as they could.

It was a mutually beneficial act.

”If there are no objections, then the implementation plan for the first strategic goal is set!”

”Kuangliu will be in charge of this matter.”

With just two simple sentences, the first strategic plan for the outpost was confirmed.

”Secondly, regarding that Demon Qi Shield Generator in the Demon City.”

As Lin Haifeng spoke, he pointed at the cylinder on the documents in front of him, and then looked at Feng Guansheng.

Feng Guansheng understood Lin Haifeng’s meaning, coughed slightly to clear his throat, and then began to speak.

”According to the research of our Scientific Institute, this Demon Qi Shield Generator should be usable for us. Looking at the bottom of this device, it’s not rooted in the ground, meaning it is movable!”

”Our Institute hopes the military can bring this device back. Once we can obtain some technology for utilizing Demonic Qi from this device, it could greatly enhance the combat power of the military. Even if we can’t research any new technology, using this protective device to guard the Yanjing Assembly Site would be a good thing.”

After finishing his words, Feng Guansheng nodded at Lin Haifeng.

Lin Haifeng then looked directly at Kuangliu.

”This mission is a secondary strategic goal. It would be perfect if it is achieved, but it doesn’t matter if it isn’t. However, the task of seizing the Demon Qi Shield Generator cannot be achieved by deploying a large number of troops, nor can heavy weapons be used. Therefore, my view is to gather the power of the powerful experts and make a surprise attack. What do you think?”

His reasoning was clear: deploying a large number of troops to attack the Demon City would result in excessive casualties, while using heavy weapons risked damaging the Demon Qi Shield Generator.

Upon hearing Lin Haifeng’s words, Kuangliu first looked at the picture in his hand, and then slowly shook his head.

”I can’t do it by myself, and the military’s super-powerful experts aren’t enough. Even including Wen Yu, it would be difficult!”

The difficulty Kuangliu mentioned was not about how to enter the Demon City, but how to carry the large generator from the Demon City to the outpost.

The C-Class space ring in Wen Yu’s hand had been obtained from Old Master Fang; his status alone was a testament to the ring’s quality!

Yet, the C-Class space ring only had an internal size of 10x10x10 and couldn’t fit the Demon Qi Shield Generator at all!

Upon hearing Kuangliu’s reply, Lin Haifeng nodded, without raising any additional issues.

From the look on his face, it was clear that Lin Haifeng didn’t have a large enough space ring in hand.

After a while, Lin Haifeng still shook his head.

”If there’s a chance, just try. If not, forget about it.”

Compared to the strategy of deploying troops for training, seizing the Demon Qi Shield Generator was just an attempt. Lin Haifeng showed no sign of it being something that must be done.

”As for the third strategy, it’s about the ultimate reward for destroying the Demon City.”

”Although there’s no need for us to kill the goose that lays the golden egg, if things become impossible, destroy the Demon City with a nuclear bomb before retreating and obtain the ultimate reward.”

”So, prepare two 500,000-ton nuclear bombs, place them at the entrance to the treasure land, and be ready to launch at any time.”

”Yes!”

Upon hearing this order which was more than a discussion of strategy, an officer below immediately responded.

Lin Haifeng nodded slightly and stood up.

”Dismiss!”

After a while, when everyone had left, Lin Haifeng and Kuangliu stayed where they were.

Wen Yu was quietly called over by Kuangliu.

The recent meeting had been an internal military discussion and, strictly speaking, had little to do with him. At most, he had learned the good news that the military still wanted to hold the outpost, and that there was a mutually beneficial exchange of interests involved.

Now that Kuangliu had called him over, Wen Yu was a little confused.

Seeing that only Lin Haifeng, Kuangliu, and Wen Yu were left in the entire conference room, Lin Haifeng finally began to speak.

”I hope you won’t mind our previous discussion, Wen Yu.”

Lin Haifeng said to Wen Yu with a laugh, without an ounce of the commanding aura he had shown before.

Wen Yu shook his head.

”A trade of interests, isn’t it?”

”Right! That’s why I enjoy doing business with you.”

Lin Haifeng laughed and nodded, continuing to speak.

”In fact, you don’t need to play the nanny. All you need to do is to constantly roam the front lines, killing high-level Bipedal Lizards.”

Wen Yu nodded. Lin Haifeng was certainly considerate, Wen Yu acknowledged, taking his ideas and views into account.

Since arriving at the Yanjing Assembly Site, Lin Haifeng had always been very courteous towards him. This, he reflected, was a significant reason why he had felt compelled to agree just now.

”As for the issue of the darkness attribute magic crystal, don’t worry, we have quite a few in the military warehouse, enough for your advancement.”

”That’s great.”

After a while, Lin Haifeng started speaking again.

”What are your thoughts on the seizure of the Demon Qi Shield Generator that I mentioned earlier?”

Clearly, Lin Haifeng wasn’t as indifferent about this matter as he had appeared on the surface, Wen Yu mused.

Wen Yu took a sip of water and then said straight away.

”It’s impossible with just Kuangliu and me.”

That was a fact. A simple look at the Demon Qi Shield Generator’s size was enough to estimate its considerable weight.

Even the Cyclops would probably struggle to carry it. And if Star was tasked with carrying the Demon Qi Shield Generator, who would be left to fight?

Relying solely on Kuangliu was out of the question; Wen Yu wasn’t confident in that approach.

”Hmm.”

Upon hearing Wen Yu’s response, Lin Haifeng nodded and said in a serious tone.

”What if — and I mean if — I could find three or more powerful experts of your caliber. Would it be possible then?”

On hearing this, Wen Yu immediately looked up at Lin Haifeng in surprise.

Instead, it was Kuangliu who frowned and said.

”Sequence Number 5 could count as one. But where would the other two come from?”
