Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Chapter 289: Chapter 79 For the Demon Tribe (For the Alliance Hierarch’s crazy wait of 50,000 rewards plus more 3/5)_1

”Is it over?”

Kuangliu pulled out a super healing potion worth 5,000 points and tilted his head back to drink it!

The super healing potion was meant for Level 4 wounds, but in Wen Yu’s opinion, Kuangliu’s injuries could be endured through sheer bodily resilience—there was no need to drink a potion at all.

Wen Yu still couldn’t comprehend such ostentation, even though by general standards he was considered rich too!

Wen Yu glanced at his three soul pets devouring the Demon Fiends on the ground and gave a nod of approval.

”It’s over!”

Although the Demon Tribe had summoned a Blood Beast, causing some turbulence, the result was still successful, and that’s all that mattered!

Glancing at the Blood Beast still flying in the distance and the now-vanished giant serpent demon spawn, Wen Yu pondered for a moment, then said, ”We’re not going to block them anymore. The Demon Tribe has pretty much figured out our combat capabilities. The next battle won’t be so easy!”

Kuangliu nodded in agreement.

Strictly speaking, this battle was not a confrontation between the Human Race and the Demon Tribe. It was merely Wen Yu and Kuangliu—Sequence Number 2 and Sequence Number 3—in an altercation with the Demon Tribe!

Perhaps the Demon Tribe was indifferent about the death of dozens of Level 4 Demon Fiends and one demon spawn, but next time, they would undoubtedly gather more power! If Wen Yu and Kuangliu faltered in any way, they would suffer a significant loss!

”Let’s go, back to the outpost. There should be a lot more Demon Fiends heading there; that’s a whole wave of points!”

Kuangliu was visibly excited. Wen Yu responded by nodding his head.

Glancing once more at the Blood Beast, which stubbornly refused to leave the Demon City’s boundaries, Wen Yu motioned for his three soul pets, then turned and walked away.

BOOM... BOOM... BOOM! BOOM!!!

Just as Wen Yu and Kuangliu turned to leave, booming sounds echoed from the distant Demon City, followed by a surge of horrifying Demonic Qi.

Upon hearing the noise, Wen Yu and Kuangliu turned back to see... the three towering Demon Realm’s Gates. The one in the middle distorted like an abstract painting, continually changing shape!

...

After the giant serpent demon spawn crawled back onto the city wall, it looked down. It saw the Bone Demon being savagely bitten by two canine creatures and the Ancient Demon spawn being continuously ripped apart and devoured by Star. The coldness in its eyes intensified!

Remembering the Ancient Demon spawn’s unfinished words before its death, the giant serpent demon spawn abruptly twisted its body and crawled down the city wall.

Snake-like creatures were not slow, especially the giant serpent demon spawn with its horrifyingly large body. In just a few minutes, it had slithered over to the three Demon Realm’s Gates.

Upon observing the three Demon Realm’s Gates continuously spewing Demonic Qi and the blood-red mini-gate already formed, a flash of ruthlessness passed through the giant serpent demon spawn’s eyes!

”For the Demon Tribe!”

The Demon Realm Language, accompanied by a hissing sound, emanated from the giant serpent demon spawn’s mouth, echoing throughout the entire Demon City!

Unfortunately, the only audience for the giant serpent demon spawn’s words was the Blood Beast inside the city wall!

The Blood Beast—actually the Soot Skin Demon Fiend within it—looked at the giant serpent demon spawn with a complicated expression and, at the same time, let out a terrifying roar!

”ROAR...”

The voice, identical to Star’s, echoed everywhere in the Demon City. It seemed to be mourning, grieving, and it appeared to be a brief farewell ceremony!

Then, the giant serpent demon spawn coiled its body.

Its tens-of-meters-long body surged with strength, springing up like a sword piercing the sky. The black crystal on its forehead, representing its demon spawn status, shone brilliantly.

Then, it slammed its head into the centermost Demon Realm’s Gate!

With the horrifying power of its body, the head of the giant serpent demon spawn struck like a huge warhammer, heavily bombarding the Demon Realm’s Gate!

The foul-smelling blood splattered all around as the great force of impact made the giant serpent demon spawn’s head crack open. Though it didn’t sustain any internal injuries, it still left the creature feeling dizzy and disoriented!

The giant serpent demon spawn’s body slightly convulsed, then its blood-stained eyes, filled with a hint of frenzy, stared at the Demon Realm’s Gate it had just slammed into!

”For... the Demon Tribe!”

The somewhat strange Demon Realm Language emitted once again from the giant serpent demon spawn’s mouth. Accompanied by the roar of the Blood Beast beside it, the giant serpent demon spawn smashed into the Demon Realm’s Gate once more!

The black crystal on its forehead was the first to make contact with the Demon Realm’s Gate. As it touched the gate, a strange force transferred into the Demon Realm’s Gate.

The power of the black crystal seemed to be absorbed by the Demon Realm’s Gate, its luster dimming increasingly!

The continual thumping resounded like a tolling bell, reverberating far and wide, serving as some sort of signal. Finally, the giant serpent demon spawn writhed its body, unleashing its last burst of power, and slammed heavily onto the Demon Realm’s Gate!

The black crystal on its forehead shattered instantly and was immediately absorbed by the Demon Realm’s Gate, now drenched in the demon spawn’s blood!

Under immense force, the giant serpent demon spawn’s skull instantly cracked open, leaving only its large body slowly sliding onto the ground, ceaselessly twitching!

Like a small river, its black blood gradually spread out, staining the entire ground in front of the Demon Realm’s Gate black!

It died...

...

But the giant serpent demon spawn hadn’t died in vain!

The Demon Realm’s Gate, after absorbing the black crystal on the giant serpent demon spawn’s forehead, suddenly underwent a change!

Like an abstract painting, the once towering Demon Realm’s Gate continually twisted. The surrounding space was also driven by its immense force, with streaks of black cracks appearing around the gate.

Waves of terrifying Demonic Qi surged out one after another. Through the scattered gaps, one could clearly see what lay beyond the Demon Realm’s Gate!

It was a lake!

However, the lake was filled with a black, viscous substance, which kept churning and bubbling. From this lake, a myriad of bizarre, bipedal creatures resembling lizards consistently crawled out!

The newly-emerged lizards were small, only about the length of a human. But the moment these tiny creatures crawled out of the lake, the abundant Demonic Qi in the surroundings surged rapidly, ceaselessly pouring into the bodies of these lizard-like beings!

The tiny lizards grew bigger and longer at a rate visible to the naked eye. At the same time, the aura on their bodies became increasingly powerful. In no time at all, the lizards’ appearance underwent a dramatic change!

They varied in length from 10 meters to 50 meters. Their auras fluctuated anywhere between Level 1 and Level 5.

This was clearly the Demon Tribe’s ’arsenal,’ where its life forms were mass-produced. Upon birth, the strongest among them could reach Level 5!

...

The pace at which the Demon Realm’s Gate in the outside world was changing grew ever faster!

The entire Demon Realm’s Gate slowly twisted into a vortex-like black hole, then gradually stabilized!

The space fractures around it also slowly subsided.

Then, a huge, lizard-like head peered out from the black hole!

This head alone was already around 10 meters long. Its skin was smooth and hairless. Likewise, it had no eyes!

The giant lizard gently flicked out its tongue as if discerning information within the Demon City.

After a while, this lizard took a step out!

All 50 meters of it, at Level 5!

Moreover, this was only just the beginning...
