Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

The Ancient Demon spawn gazed solemnly at the unceasingly blood-red Demon Realm’s Gate behind him, speaking to the Ancient Demon kneeling on the ground.

”We can go now. Let’s proceed.”

Hearing the demon spawn’s words, the Ancient Demon hesitated for a moment before standing up to explain.

”Among the humans, there may be a divine beast. Why not wait for that esteemed one...”

The Ancient Demon spawn shook his head.

”That esteemed one will not be able to cross over quickly. The remaining Demonic Qi in this space is simply not enough for Lord Alfort to descend. We will first drive those enemies away, then close the Demonic Energy Shield and accumulate Demonic Qi. Only then will that esteemed one be able to descend to this place.”

Hearing the Ancient Demon spawn’s words, the Ancient Demon nodded slightly. Afterward, a subtle Spiritual Fluctuation spread in all directions!

The Demon Fiends who sensed this Spiritual Fluctuation roared in excitement, as if they had been injected with a stimulant!

Subsequently, all the remaining Demon Fiends in the Demon City rushed out, heading towards the place where Wen Yu and Kuangliu were!

...

The situation in Demon City was naturally observed by Wen Yu and Kuangliu from images transmitted by a drone.

Wen Yu carefully scanned the Six-armed Ancient Demon, then glanced twice at the snake-like creature on its wrist, and via soul sound transmission, alerted Star and Cyclops to be cautious.

As he watched the Demon Fiends surge out from the Demon City, Wen Yu’s Palpitation and Mad Medley slowly lengthened. At the same time, he spoke via soul sound transmission to Cyclops.

”Draw blood!”

Cyclops immediately understood his boss’s intentions. He frowned and muttered something, but he did nothing!

Seeing this, and Star who was growing impatient, Wen Yu immediately kicked Cyclops twice.

”If I ask you to draw blood, you draw blood! It’s not much blood!”

Hearing Wen Yu’s words, Cyclops clenched his teeth and forcefully bit his own claw.

When Wen Yu requested Cyclops to draw blood, he naturally meant for it to activate Faceless!

Regrettably, Cyclops was slightly resistant to Faceless transforming into his own appearance. After all, seeing another identical version of himself always felt quite strange.

Cyclops’s blood flowed out slowly along his claw, and Wen Yu gathered a few drops of it.

A flash of purple light appeared in the surrounding space. Wen Yu’s right hand went directly into his Soul Realm space, forcefully pulling Faceless out from within.

He carefully dripped Cyclops’s blood onto Faceless. Watching Faceless squirm as it gradually took on Cyclops’s appearance, Wen Yu glanced over at the whining Cyclops. After hesitating for a moment, he addressed Cyclops.

”During the upcoming battle, you and Faceless will stick together.”

Cyclops shot a savage glance at Faceless, barking grumpily.

”Boss, I don’t want to be with him. He’s a fake!”

In contrast, Faceless, upon hearing the instructions via Wen Yu’s Soul Fluctuation, quietly walked over to Cyclops, causing Cyclops’s short fur to stand on end.

”Alright, this will be our arrangement for now. In a while, Cyclops and Faceless will clear out the weaker cannon fodder while Star stands by for the Level 4 Demon Fiends that break out. Kuangliu, the two of us will take action based on the situation.”

Wen Yu paused, then continued.

”If the situation worsens, we make a run for it!”

Kuangliu nodded in agreement. When it came to retreating if outmatched, he was in full support!

As more and more Demon Fiends surged out of Demon City, Wen Yu entered a state of combat readiness. At the same time, he raised both his guns, shouting loudly.

”Attack!”

...

The first wave of Demon Fiends to break out from the city were ranked below Level 4! These were perfect for Cyclops and Faceless. And even if some of the Third-level Demon Fiends could injure Cyclops and Faceless, it was exactly what Wen Yu wanted to see!

With Mortal Combat and the Blood and Flesh Badge boost, Cyclops and Faceless would only get stronger!

Seeing the Demon Fiends nearing, Cyclops, in his mini-state, bellowed twice before quickly growing in size. He immediately charged towards the incoming Demon Group.

Faceless followed closely behind him.

In contrast, Star, who had already entered a combat state, let out a series of whimpers.

”Boss, are those two alright?”

Wen Yu shook his head and glanced at Star’s excited eyes before shaking his head again.

”Don’t worry about those two. You will only come into play once a Level 4 Demon Fiend joins the fight.”

Star nodded, earnestly eyeing the horde of Demon Fiends on the city wall. Spotting the Six-armed Ancient Demon, he hesitated for at least ten seconds before saying.

”Boss, that guy’s scent... it’s somewhat similar to the Hawk’s.”

”The Hawk?”

Upon contemplating, Wen Yu immediately understood which Hawk Star referred to. He scrutinized the images transmitted back by the drone carefully before asking Star.

”How’s the aura around him?”

”It’s strong...”

Wen Yu nodded. If Star says it’s very strong, then it definitely won’t be weak.

Wen Yu took a deep breath and swiftly altered his strategy.

”Pay attention. Only make your move when that Ancient Demon and the large snake on its arm attack.”

Star nodded in understanding.

Then, Wen Yu turned to Kuangliu and asked.

”How many Level 4 Demon Fiends can you handle by yourself?”

Kuangliu shook his head without directly answering the question. He reached into his space ring, drew out his battle saber, and said as he began walking.

”Let’s go!”

...

Cyclops and Faceless swiftly engaged numerous low-grade demonic creatures.

Under the attack power of the two Level 4 mutant dogs, the low-grade Demon Fiends were wiped out in patches.

Some were reduced to ashes under the Flames of Tyranny of the two Cyclops, while others were brutally killed by their sharp teeth and claws.

Looking at the battlefield below, the Six-armed Ancient Demon on the city wall spoke in a low voice.

”This creature is quite interesting.”

He was referring to Faceless.

The other Ancient Demon standing next to him nodded.

”We didn’t see this creature a while ago. It appears it has an ability to copy others’ bodies and skills. There’s no noticeable difference in battle strength between the two dogs.”

Only then did the Ancient Demon spawn nod and continue to ask.

”Is there enough flesh and blood below?”

Hearing this question, the Soot Skin Demon Fiend immediately replied.

”More than enough, Sir.”

”Then stop letting these little ones rush to their deaths. Activate the ability immediately.”

Simultaneously, the Ancient Demon spawn pointed at eight Level 4 Demon Fiends.

”Your job is to hold back those two dogs down there.”

The eight selected Demon Fiends nodded instantly.

The Ancient Demon spawn then looked at Wen Yu and Kuangliu, who were getting closer, and randomly chose another eight Level 4 Demon Fiends.

”Your task is to take out the two humans below.”

”And then...”

Still looking at the Ancient Demon beside him, the Ancient Demon spawn quickly said.

”You, command the remaining low-grade demonic creatures to charge directly towards the castle.”

Based on the Ancient Demon spawn’s words, it seemed to have an extensive understanding of this treasure land.

The Ancient Demon glanced at the battles below, then looked at the grinning Soot Skin Demon Fiend beside him, instantly realizing the situation! It seemed he wouldn’t get a chance to take credit for killing the Human Race’s powerful experts...

Although somewhat frustrated, he couldn’t disobey the demon spawn’s command!

”Yes, Sir.”

With the emanation of the Ancient Demon’s Spiritual Fluctuation, the low-grade demonic creatures that were being systematically eliminated below scattered immediately, dashing in all directions.

To prevent being instantly killed by the large-scale attacks of the two Cyclops, scattering was undoubtedly the best choice.

”Return.”

Looking at the actions of the Demon Fiends in front of him, Wen Yu contemplated for a moment, having already figured out the Demon Tribe’s intention, let alone Kuangliu.

At that moment, Kuangliu pulled out a communicator from his space ring and started reporting to the military headquarters.

By the time Kuangliu finished communicating with the military headquarters, the Demon Fiends in Demon City had completed their troop distribution.

A huge number of low-grade demonic creatures gathered below Demon City and, led by the Ancient Demon that Wen Yu knew well, they directly marched towards the outpost. Along with them were two Level 4 Demon Fiends.

The remaining twenty-four Level 4 Demon Fiends and two demon spawns had already jumped down from the city wall and were slowly heading toward Wen Yu and Kuangliu’s position.

Looking at the powerful experts of the Demon Tribe before him, Wen Yu smacked his lips.

”Quite a number.”

More importantly, just from the aura emanating from these Demon Fiends, it was clear that none of them would be easy to handle.

Kuangliu nodded and simply said.

”Let’s try fighting them first.”

”Let’s give it a go then!”

As soon as Wen Yu finished, he immediately shot at a Level 4 Demon Fiend. Simultaneously, his three soul pets roared and charged directly at the enemy Demon Fiends!

The first clash between the powerful experts of the Human Race and the Demon Tribe began in this area filled with blood and corpses!
