Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Chapter 294: Chapter 84 Organizing Strength_1

Looking at his remaining points and the massive amount of magic crystals in his space ring, Wen Yu didn’t rush to spend them. Instead, he converted all the low-level magic crystals in the space ring into Level 4 magic crystals!

This stunned Star, who was perched on Wen Yu’s head.

”Boss, leave some for snacks... We’re going to starve if you keep this up...”

”There’s still meat. You won’t starve!”

”But it’s not tasty...”

Star mumbled under his breath, casting resentful glances at the magic crystals Wen Yu was scattering.

At this point, Star was practically in despair...

Wen Yu felt relieved that Cyclops, an even more talkative fellow, was lying motionless in the Soul Realm. Otherwise, those two would have definitely dared to team up and snatch my space ring!

The soul pet continuously sent messages like, ”Don’t exchange anymore!” and ”Save some!” to Wen Yu. Seeing that Wen Yu didn’t respond, it couldn’t help but repeatedly bump its head against his face!

”Cut it out!”

Wen Yu held down his two restless soul pets, one in each hand, and turned toward the Exchange Stone Pillar.

As lights flashed, a large number of Level 4 attribute magic crystals gushed out from the Exchange Stone Pillar.

They came in various attributes, totaling 178 Level 4 attribute magic crystals.

Wen Yu placed the magic crystals into his space ring and nodded with satisfaction.

Thanks to these exchanged magic crystals, the loot from this battle is rather generous!

He picked out 40 darkness attribute magic crystals and stuffed them directly into the soul pet, effectively quieting its ”mouth” and endless grumbling.

After reaching Level 4, the soul pet had not yet been Strengthened. Now, with these 40 darkness attribute magic crystals, its physical strength shot up to 220 points—a substantial gain!

As for why he chose darkness attribute magic crystals... I’m about to advance to Level 5, and one of the prerequisites for the Pitch-dark Divine Light skill is a Level 5 professionist with an S-class or higher darkness attribute skill!

Of course, by my estimation, trying to naturally obtain an S-class or higher darkness attribute skill just by feeding it magic crystals is undoubtedly a pipe dream!

My soul pet isn’t a divine beast, after all. This is just a gamble, albeit one with very slim chances of winning!

「...」

He exchanged all his remaining points for 500 attributeless magic crystals!

This cost him a whopping 10,000,000 points!

With less than 840,000 points remaining, Wen Yu exchanged them for another 10 Level 4 beast attribute magic crystals and fed them to his soul pet, raising its physical strength to 225 points!

The Exchange Stone Pillar didn’t offer darkness attribute magic crystals, which irked Wen Yu.

As for stocking up on darkness attribute magic crystals by hunting Demon Fiends...

Thinking about the sheer amount of work involved, I’ll decisively give up on that idea!

With his remaining 330,000-plus points, Wen Yu bought a large number of super healing potions for Level 4 professionists, along with numerous Energy Recovery Potions.

These supplies will definitely be crucial at critical moments!

Then, looking at the few points he had left, Wen Yu decisively exchanged them for various other supplies.

Only after spending every last point did Wen Yu quickly leave and head for his room.

「...」

The room he had originally booked was still the same.

Taking the key from his space ring, he opened the door. Wen Yu wasn’t bothered by the slightly dusty room.

After carefully locking the door, he poured out the magic crystals from his space ring and began absorbing them one by one.

He quickly absorbed the 500 Level 4 attributeless magic crystals, and his physical strength surged to 454 points. Then, he took out all kinds of Attributed Magic Crystals from his space ring.

He first fed his soul pet a few pure beast attribute magic crystals, raising its physical strength to 233 points. Then, he selected some of the magic crystals with mixed attributes and began absorbing them as well.

After absorbing 92 magic crystals with mixed attributes, Wen Yu’s physical strength reached 500 points, the peak for Level 4. Then, he summoned Cyclops and carefully inquired about his and Star’s physical strength.

After several battles and subsequent feeding, Cyclops and Star had improved. Cyclops’s physical strength had risen to about 220 points. Wen Yu couldn’t determine the exact value and could only estimate based on Cyclops’s words.

As for Star, its physical strength had already reached over 250 points!

This was likely because Star had eaten more Level 4 Demon Fiends. Additionally, the remains and magic crystal of the Ancient Demon spawn had also ended up in Star’s stomach, resulting in a significant boost to its physical strength.

As for Faceless’s physical strength, Wen Yu had no way to determine it.

Faceless had no intelligence, nor any discernible physical strength. Wen Yu tried feeding it some flesh, but there was no evident change in its dough-like body, nor did it communicate any emotions.

He then carefully inspected the remaining magic crystals in his hand.

The remaining 30 magic crystals all had different attributes.

But it was their mixed attributes that made Wen Yu feel helpless.

My experience from my previous life taught me that absorbing magic crystals of a single attribute is the key to obtaining superior skills after leveling up.

However, letting 30 Level 4 magic crystals sit idle is really bothering me!

It’s that frustrating feeling of having the means to improve my strength but being unable to actually do so!

Sighing softly, Wen Yu shook his head. Just as he was about to put the magic crystals away, an idea suddenly struck him!

Wen Yu sprang up, walked out of his room, and headed towards the central castle.

「...」

Wen Yu’s idea was straightforward: barter!

Given the military’s vast resources, they likely need all sorts of magic crystals. If I can trade these 30 magic crystals to them, I’m sure I’ll get a satisfactory result!

Along the way, Wen Yu focused on familiarizing himself with the immense new power in his body.

In such a short time, Wen Yu’s physical strength had doubled. This resulted in slight distortions in many combat maneuvers that he could previously perform with ease.

These differences might be minor, but in a battle against a powerful expert, any move that falls short of my requirements could lead to dire consequences. I’m definitely not willing to bear that risk!

As he switched between combat and non-combat states, his soul pet kept sending him telepathic messages.

”Master, you’re so mean... tormenting me like this and not even giving me magic crystals to eat...”

”There will be...”

Wen Yu sighed deeply and continued to comfort it.

These magic crystal-guzzling gluttons bring me both pain and joy!
