Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Chapter 232: Chapter 29: The Might of the Divine Beast Seed_1

Star naturally noticed the black-robed man’s appearance.

However, Star was more focused on the Cyclops impostor before him than on the black-robed man’s power.

At this moment, all the skin on the Cyclops impostor had vanished, leaving only raw muscle exposed. In some places, its internal organs could even be clearly seen.

The Cyclops impostor’s body had shrunk by one-third!

Under the dual enhancement of Mortal Combat and the Blood and Flesh Badge, the Cyclops impostor’s injuries didn’t hinder its combat ability; instead, they significantly boosted its physique.

Sensing its injuries and the surge in its power, the Cyclops impostor launched an attack!

Surrounded by black flames, the first skill the Cyclops impostor used was the Flames of Tyranny!

However, under the powerful enhancement of the Mortal Combat ability, the Flames of Tyranny had also undergone a change!

Hundreds of black fire chains crisscrossed and instantly condensed into a massive fire whip, which then violently lashed out at Star.

As the fire whip raged, Star faced the black flames head-on. Streams of Dragon Flame gushed from his mouth, intertwining with the ominous black fire whip.

In an instant, terrifying Energy Fluctuations erupted, incinerating the weeds and shrubs within the farmland!

The black-robed man, far away in the forest, could also sense the violent aura. He immediately used Instantaneous Movement to retreat to an even more distant location.

Only after Star had unleashed ten streams of Dragon Flame did the black fire whip before him finally dissipate.

On the ground, the Cyclops impostor calmly watched Star in the sky, brutality surging in its crimson eyes.

Then, the Cyclops impostor moved!

...

Neither Wen Yu nor Star knew how much of an enhancement Mortal Combat could provide Cyclops.

But Cyclops knew.

This meant the Cyclops impostor also knew!

With all its flesh burned away and its body reduced by a third, how much had Mortal Combat amplified Cyclops’s power?

The answer was five times!

Five times its base 200 physique points!

That equated to 1,000 physique points!

With its reduced body size and massively increased physique, Cyclops’s combat ability soared to its peak!

As Star watched intently, Cyclops’s body vanished in an instant!

This was the extreme speed afforded by 1,000 physique points.

At this speed, Star’s dynamic vision could only perceive afterimages.

After a moment, terrifying Sound Explosions ripped through the air. RUMBLE! RUMBLE! The sound spread far and wide, as if bombs were detonating.

Then...

BOOM!!!

Even before the Sound Explosions faded, an even more shocking sound erupted.

It was an attack from the Cyclops impostor!

When the Cyclops impostor reappeared, it was, shockingly, above Star!

Its brutal power, extreme speed, and the weight loss from the disintegration of its external tissues had significantly improved Cyclops’s jumping ability!

This leap carried it to a shocking height of over one hundred meters!

Moreover, its speed was so immense that Star had no time to react!

On Cyclops’s right forelimb, terrifying Energy Fluctuations began to brew.

Countless black flames enveloped the Cyclops impostor’s right forelimb, continuously compressing until the terrifying black flames formed a small, dense cluster, from which a red glow suddenly erupted!

Flames of Tyranny + Savage Strike!

Strictly speaking, this wasn’t a combination technique, merely a pairing of two different abilities. However, the resulting effect would be greater than the sum of its parts—one plus one equaling more than two!

An explosive sound erupted directly from Star’s back.

Four red streams, tinged with black flame, shot from Cyclops’s claws and spread throughout Star’s body.

Pieces of black Scale Armor on Star’s back scattered, and blood dripped abruptly!

Demon Dragon Armor (S-class, Passive Skill) activated!

Four claw marks, laced with black flames, were about to penetrate Star’s body, but robust muscle tissue clamped down on them, even forcing out the Flames of Tyranny that had begun to infiltrate!

However, the enormous force knocked Star off balance, leaving him momentarily suspended in mid-air!

Star reacted instantly. After enduring the Cyclops impostor’s strike, his wings snapped shut. Using the downward momentum, he flipped his body, grabbed the Cyclops impostor’s torso, and dragged them both plummeting towards the ground!

BOOM!

Like an earthquake, the two monsters crashed to the ground, the impact throwing up a mushroom cloud!

As Star hit the ground first, he naturally sustained more damage than the Cyclops above him.

But thanks to the Demon Dragon Armor, this damage was of no concern to Star!

Star gripped Cyclops with his foreclaws, somersaulted, and pinned it to the ground. He pressed down hard with his foreclaws, his sharp teeth aiming for Cyclops’s head!

If his bite landed, with Star’s jaw strength, even with Cyclops’s current 1,000 physique points, it wouldn’t be able to escape his maw!

Seeing this, the Cyclops impostor began to struggle.

With 1,000 physique points and its shrunken body, the Cyclops impostor, like a solid chunk of iron, wrenched itself free from Star’s grasp and rapidly distanced itself from him.

Star currently had 200 physique points. Even with his divine beast species innate talent, his strength was now only comparable to the Cyclops impostor’s.

Not to mention speed; the size difference meant Star was significantly slower than the Cyclops impostor!

After this brief clash, sensing the Cyclops impostor’s combat strength, Star unhesitatingly activated his third skill.

Dragon’s Aura Field (S-Class, Active Skill): When activated, a mysterious force field envelops the user, greatly weakening any creature that enters its range!

This ability halved the physique points of creatures within its range, and its Skill Effects did not discriminate between friend or foe!

Indeed, most Skill Effects did not differentiate between friend or foe!

That was why Wen Yu had Cyclops and Star fight on a separate battlefield!

Feeling an inexplicable pressure, the Cyclops impostor immediately darted backward, cautiously probing the area around Star.

Finally, the Cyclops impostor determined the range of the Dragon’s Aura Field: a full 100 meters!

Of course, this ability’s range would increase as Star’s level rose.

Seeing the Cyclops impostor’s movements, a flicker of contempt flashed in Star’s eyes.

Although its range was only one hundred meters, this ability could move with Star!

Moreover, Star possessed another ability!

Seeing the Cyclops impostor consistently staying outside the field’s range, Star immediately activated his fourth ability—his trump card!

Dragon Blood Amplification (SSS-Class, Active Ability): Burns Dragon Blood within the body to amplify all skills and physique! Can be deactivated at will after activation; Dragon Blood continuously burns while the ability is active!

This ability was rated SSS-Class because its amplification effect was terrifying!

Dragon Flame, Demon Dragon Armor, Dragon’s Aura Field, and even Star’s own physique were all amplified!

Setting aside Dragon Flame and Demon Dragon Armor, once Dragon’s Aura Field was amplified, its range expanded directly to 300 meters! Furthermore, the weakening effect reached a staggering eighty percent!

This meant the enhancement from Cyclops’s Mortal Combat ability was completely nullified!

Meanwhile, Star’s own physique, after amplification, tripled directly, reaching 600 points!

These were 600 physique points belonging to a divine beast!

Feeling the Mysterious Power continuously converting from the Dragon Blood in his body, Star gained a rough understanding of this ability.

Star hadn’t used this ability since his promotion to Level 4.

Firstly, he had never encountered a worthy opponent.

Secondly, because this ability required burning Dragon Blood, Wen Yu feared it might cause permanent damage to Star’s body, so they had never tested it.

But now, according to Star’s own judgment, the ability wouldn’t cause permanent harm, and the rate of Dragon Blood consumption wasn’t excessively high.

This meant that even in his amplified state, Star could fight for a considerable time!

Seeing the Cyclops impostor twisting its body with slight unease, Star roared, an unprecedentedly violent red light erupting from his mouth!

Amplified Dragon Flame!

The originally red Dragon Flame now had hints of azure fire at its edges. Although it wasn’t as thick as before amplification, its heat and power were several times greater!
