Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Chapter 205: Chapter 5: Furious All the Way (Sponsored by yang199174, 1/5) _1

The next day.

As the weather cleared up, a large group of children crawled out of the underground space, yawning.

The usual four morning routines during peacetime—using the bathroom, brushing teeth, washing up, and having breakfast—were brutally reduced to just one by these kids.

Or none at all.

Of course, these things didn’t matter. It was the end of the world, and very few people cared about personal hygiene.

Wen Yu also didn’t have the habit of playing nanny.

Seeing a large group of children chirping nonstop around Cyclops and Star, Wen Yu couldn’t help but rub his forehead.

Kids are indeed the most troublesome!

...

When the children learned from Zhang Xiao that Wen Yu planned to take everyone to Central City, the scene strangely quieted down.

”What’s wrong? Don’t you want to go?” Wen Yu asked, looking seriously at the somewhat hesitant children before him.

”No, it’s not that... but...” Zheng Ye’s eyes darted around slightly.

”We can’t afford the city entrance fees...” a child behind Zheng Ye expressed their concern in a soft voice.

”I told you, you don’t have to pay the entrance fee if you go with me,” Wen Yu reaffirmed.

”There’s no rule in Central City that allows you to avoid the entrance fee. If you do this, you’ll definitely create a conflict with the people of Central City,” Zheng Ye’s voice gradually grew louder. ”You gave us roasted meat yesterday, and we’re already very grateful. If this is going to cause trouble for you, we’d rather not go to Central City. We can manage just fine here.”

”Isn’t that right?”

”Yes!!!” a chorus of childish voices rang out from behind Zheng Ye.

Zhang Xiao stayed silent on the side.

Obviously, for Zhang Xiao, obtaining permanent residency in Central City was a great opportunity! Bothering Wen Yu? As an adult, Zhang Xiao wouldn’t dwell on that much.

Wen Yu quietly watched Zheng Ye, whose eyes were filled with a determined stubbornness. After a moment, he started laughing with joy.

”This isn’t a bother for me! Really! If you don’t believe me, come and see?”

”If it doesn’t work out, you can always come back here, right? And I promise that there won’t be any conflicts with the people of Central City!”

”I promise!!!”

Hearing Wen Yu’s words, Zheng Ye hesitated for a while before finally nodding.

Wen Yu watched the baby army begin to pack up their things, took a cigarette out of his space ring, and lit it slowly.

Kids are indeed pretty adorable...

...

Once the baby army was ready, Wen Yu turned around and walked directly out of the camp.

Star quietly lay on top of Wen Yu’s head, its tail continuously playing with the little Soul Beast on Wen Yu’s shoulder, which caused a racket in Wen Yu’s mind.

”Cyclops, grow larger!”

Upon hearing Wen Yu’s command, Cyclops immediately grew in size. Within a mere second, Cyclops had fully returned to its normal height of 10 meters.

”Let’s go. Lead the way.”

Hearing Wen Yu’s command, Zhang Xiao immediately went to the front of Cyclops and headed towards the central city Assembly Site.

Behind him, Wen Yu leaped and sat directly on top of Cyclops’s head.

10 meters high! Close to the height of a three-story building.

A giant dog head, almost the size of a car! It was spacious enough for Wen Yu to comfortably lie down on!

From this angle, Wen Yu finally understood why many people enjoyed standing high up!

It gave a feeling of superiority and control!

”Kids, let’s move out!”

With a wave of Wen Yu’s hand, the baby army, carrying their bags, followed behind Zhang Xiao.

Next, Cyclops set off!

Each step of its pillar-like legs landed with a RUMBLE, shaking the ground like an earthquake!

Despite its massive size, it didn’t seem bulky. With its powerful body, Cyclops had excellent balance. At least, Wen Yu, sitting on Cyclops’s head, didn’t feel any tremors.

The rumbling sound echoed far and wide. Under the intimidating presence of Cyclops in its normal state, the small mutant beasts hiding in every corner of the city trembled with fear, as if faced with their natural predators!

The noise naturally couldn’t escape the notice of the professionists spread all over the city!

...

”What the hell is that!!!”

When the first survivor of Mudanjiang City, drawn by a series of loud RUMBLES, found Wen Yu and his group, words of shock and terror naturally slipped out of their mouth!

”That’s a mutant beast!” a confident voice declared from behind!

This was the leader of the professionist’s team, and the head of their little group!

”How can it be so big!” Shock, mingled with a complex expression, flickered in the team leader’s eyes.

”Level 4! A Level 4 mutant beast! And it has an owner!”

Professionists had excellent eyesight. After their class change, the resulting physical transformation even cured those who were visually impaired!

So, the professionists observing Cyclops from afar naturally could spot Zhang Xiao and the baby army in front, as well as Wen Yu perched on top of Cyclops’s head!

”Level 4... Level 4!!!”

To this little group, this level was as high as the sky!

”I bet you didn’t know this, but at the beginning of the apocalypse, the big boss of Mudanjiang City wasn’t Wang Zhigang. It was a Lion!”

”Some people targeted that Lion. Leaving aside the magic crystals, if the Lion’s skin and claws were made into weapons and armor, they would definitely be far better than the protective suits and steel sabers produced by the Exchange Stone Pillar!”

”And then what?”

The team leader sneered.

”There was no ’and then’! Have you ever seen how humans step on ants? You should have seen it! They die in the most insignificant way!”

Hearing their leader’s words, the entire team fell silent.

”At that time, the Lion was Third-level, and its height was around 5 meters.”

”This one...” the team leader puckered his lips, gesturing towards Cyclops. ”At least Level 4!”

”Do you understand what this level means?”

The leader of this team clearly liked mischief. And his team members were well-aware of his mischievous tendencies.

”What does it mean?” the team members around him asked enthusiastically.

”It means catastrophe! Mudanjiang City’s catastrophe! If this mutant beast didn’t have an owner, we should consider evacuating Mudanjiang City.”

The team leader carefully observed Cyclops in the distance, then glanced at Zhang Xiao and the baby army in front of Cyclops, and then compared the direction Cyclops was heading.

After a moment, he exclaimed in surprise, ”That mutant beast is heading to Central City!”

The team leader pondered for a moment, then waved at the people behind him.

”Let’s go, let’s follow them and see what happens!”
