Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Chapter 136: Chapter 93: The Road to Survival (Part 2) _1

In Princess Consort Feina’s words, amidst the melancholy, there was also an undeniable determination.

Wen Yu understood. The difficulty of this treasure land is likely embodied in this very aspect!

”By the way, what’s your name?”

Wen Yu turned his head and asked the person who had just issued a warning to him.

”My name is Ba Song. I’m a Thai national.”

Only then did Wen Yu notice that this man’s skin was somewhat dark. In the dim light of dusk, Wen Yu hadn’t paid much attention to the man’s appearance.

”Do you still sense any danger now?”

”Yes, although it has diminished significantly, there’s still intense danger from the rear. No, not just the rear—danger is coming from all directions!”

Wen Yu contemplated for a moment and then said directly, ”You lead the way now. Don’t make any major mistakes in direction. We’ll head straight for the area with the least danger. You stay by Princess Consort Feina’s side.”

Ba Song nodded and immediately led the group, running towards the northeast.

Behind them, Jiang Wentao caught up, along with Monkey and Burly Bear, who had just been on watch.

”Silver Moon City is gone?”

Wen Yu nodded. ”From now on, it’s up to us.”

...

Amidst swirling yellow sands, the group of several dozen people quickened their pace. Princess Consort Feina also seemed to sense the impending danger and slightly increased her speed.

At the location where Wen Yu and the others had camped before, a large, scaly hand picked up a piece of leftover food from the camp, brought it to its massive nostrils, and sniffed deeply.

With a forceful wave of the large hand, several Demon Fiends behind it instantly accelerated, chasing in Wen Yu’s group’s direction!

...

”Brother Wen Yu, the danger signals from the rear are extremely strong!”

Hearing Ba Song’s loud reminder from the front, Wen Yu immediately shouted, ”Stop! Everyone stop and prepare to fight!”

Unaware of the enemy’s strength and numbers, the only thing Wen Yu could do was unite everyone to resist this crisis together!

At Wen Yu’s voice, all the professionists instantly halted; even Princess Consort Feina was pulled behind Ba Song.

Not far off, several figures slowly emerged from the pervasive yellow sand!

”One, two, three, four, five! Five of them!”

Wen Yu narrowed his eyes, calmly observing the approaching Demon Tribe.

One was a bull demon, wielding a huge battle axe, its blood-red eyes staring malevolently at Wen Yu and his group.

Two giant spider-like Demon Fiends, each nearly a meter tall, continuously emitted plumes of green smoke from their bodies.

A humanoid Demon Fiend, covered in bone spikes, wore chilling bone armor that glinted coldly. A sharp horn on its forehead was wreathed in a wisp of pale red flame.

And the Demon Fiend at the very front was one Wen Yu knew all too well.

It was covered in Scale Armor, with four sturdy arms and a large mouth bristling with tusks!

This is an Ancient Demon!!

”GEH GEH GEH GEH... Finally... caught you... little bugs!!” The grating voice scraped from the Ancient Demon’s mouth. Then...

All five Demon Fiends charged straight at Wen Yu and the others!

”Take Feina and run!” Wen Yu turned his head and yelled at Ba Song, who was beside Feina.

Then, with Cyclops at his side, he charged straight at the Ancient Demon!

Judging by the running speed of the five Demon Fiends, all of them possessed Third-Level strength!

Especially the Ancient Demon leading the charge; its enormous power made each step seem to explode, kicking up clouds of sand and dust.

If these creatures charged into the group, it would be like a wolf among sheep. Feina, the one they were all protecting, would have no chance of survival!

Following Wen Yu’s command, Ba Song scooped up Feina and immediately ran towards the northeast.

The professionists behind him were thrown into disarray. Unable to gauge the Demon Fiends’ strength, they hesitated, unsure whether to fight or flee.

”All those Third-Level and below, go protect Princess Consort Feina! Burly Bear, to the rear, provide fire support! Monkey, stick with Princess Consort Feina and ensure her safety at all costs!”

”I’ll take one of the spiders! William, you kill that bony fiend! Chu Ziling, you’re responsible for the bull demon! Quickly!” At this critical moment, it was Jiang Wentao who quickly issued the orders.

The professionists sprang into action. William and the other two immediately charged towards the Demon Fiends!

At this point, Wen Yu had already engaged the Ancient Demon in combat!

The Ancient Demon’s claws, enveloped in a fierce gale, slashed down at Wen Yu’s head.

This strike is lightning fast!

The moment Wen Yu saw the Ancient Demon strike, he instantly understood that the difficulty of the final mission had far exceeded everyone’s expectations.

A physique of at least 150 points, plus the Ancient Demon’s racial advantages... the actual physical prowess of this Ancient Demon before me must be over 300 points! This is an existence capable of instantly annihilating any professionist here, including me!

Wen Yu had no time to dodge the Ancient Demon’s attack; his only option was to activate his dislimning ability!

The claws passed straight through Wen Yu’s head.

Wen Yu felt a tremor pass through him. Although the dislimning ability had allowed him to completely evade the attack, a wave of weakness washed over him.

That single attack had consumed nearly half of Wen Yu’s stamina!

The Touch of Greed in his hand shot out, forcefully striking the Ancient Demon’s body!

CLANG! CLANG!

The sound was like metal striking metal.

It didn’t penetrate! Even with the sharpness of the Touch of Greed, I couldn’t pierce its scales!

WHOOSH.

A sharp whistling sound grazed past Wen Yu’s ear.

A ruthless glint flashed in Wen Yu’s eyes.

He activated his dislimning ability once more.

The Ancient Demon’s tail swept through where Wen Yu’s head had been. Simultaneously, Wen Yu’s right hand, augmented by the dislimning ability, smoothly bypassed the Ancient Demon’s external defenses.

ROOOOAR!

The Ancient Demon let out a violent howl as Demon Blood sprayed from its chest!

Wen Yu’s attack had torn a large gash in the Ancient Demon’s chest!

THUMP.

Enraged, the Ancient Demon kicked Wen Yu squarely in the chest!

This time, Wen Yu didn’t waste his rapidly dwindling stamina by using dislimning to dodge the attack.

Because another figure, wreathed in green smoke, was already charging towards him!

Spitting out a mouthful of congealed blood, Wen Yu roared at Cyclops, ”Cyclops, kill the Ancient Demon!”

The entire exchange had lasted only a few seconds.

In that brief contact, Cyclops hadn’t even had a chance to attack.

Hearing Wen Yu’s roar, Cyclops pounced towards the Ancient Demon!

Only to be swatted away by one of the Ancient Demon’s massive hands!

AWOOO!

Cyclops yelped miserably, tumbling twice in mid-air before crashing to the ground. A large chunk of flesh was missing from where the Ancient Demon had struck it!

The Blood and Flesh Badge activated! Mortal Combat took effect!
