Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Chapter 124: Chapter 81: Transformation of Power!_1

As the light from the Dislimning skill scroll flashed, it landed directly on the little Soul Beast.

The little Soul Beast transformed into a black egg glowing white, its body continuously twitching.

Does it hurt?

Wen Yu had thought using the skill scroll would cause pain, but as it turned out, he was overthinking.

”Master, master...”

The Spiritual Fluctuation emanating from the little Soul Beast contained only these two words, but judging from its emotions, it was undoubtedly thrilled and joyful.

As long as it doesn’t hurt, it’s all good.

Due to being a Soul Master, Wen Yu’s bond with the little Soul Beast had surpassed that of a simple master-servant relationship. It was so intimate that Wen Yu even felt as if the little Soul Beast were his own child!

Not long after, the little Soul Beast completed the skill replacement.

Soul Beast: Third-level, physical strength 50 points.

Skill Number One: Soul Strike (S-Class).

Skill Number Two: Dislimning (S-Class).

Ads by PubRev Skill Number Three: Darkness Stride (B-Class).

This was the approximate current strength of the Soul Beast.

Then, Wen Yu turned his gaze to Cyclops.

”Come here.”

With a gentle invitation, Cyclops immediately trotted over.

Given Cyclops’s intelligence, it had already figured out what Wen Yu was doing. Being called forward now means there’s definitely a big reward to be had!

Seeing Cyclops plop down in front of him, panting with its tongue out, its whole face eager to please, Wen Yu burst into laughter.

”Don’t worry. Remember what I told you? Follow me, and you’ll have everything!”

”WOOF.”

I knew it, Boss is the greatest!

Wen Yu stopped joking around with Cyclops and spent 1,000 points to exchange for another skill forgetting scroll.

Following the same procedure as before, he erased Cyclops’s Second Skill, Powerful Healing (B Grade), and then directly tore open the Flames of Tyranny (S-Class) scroll.

Once the skill replacement was complete, Cyclops let out a howl. As its cries grew louder, black Devil Flame erupted all over its body.

Driven by excruciating pain, Cyclops rolled around on the ground. The Flames of Tyranny instantly set ablaze the uncleaned corpses; any corpse touched by the Devil Flame was incinerated in an instant!

That wasn’t all. Even after the bodies were completely incinerated, the remaining Devil Flame continued to burn on the ground. Fortunately, the material of the city wall was not something a Third-level Cyclops could destroy. Once deprived of fuel, the Devil Flame quickly vanished, leaving only a scorched black patch on the ground.

The surrounding professionists, seeing this, immediately backed far away.

However, even from a distance of over twenty meters, they could still feel the heat emanating from Cyclops.

Suddenly, the Devil Flame on Cyclops vanished.

Before Wen Yu could approach to check on Cyclops’s condition, its body sprang up from the ground as if it were on springs.

”WHOO, WHOO, WHOO, WHOO...”

Cyclops yelped as it dashed back and forth throughout the space.

Until Cyclops opened its mouth wide!

A massive pillar of black flame spewed from Cyclops’s mouth.

The pillar of fire slammed into the wall. The immense heat instantly made all the professionists present feel as if they were in a giant fiery pit.

The flames spewed for nearly ten seconds before finally subsiding.

”BURP.”

Cyclops let out a large burp. A small, lingering ember dropped from its mouth, bounced on the ground for a long time, and then reluctantly extinguished.

”How does it feel?” Wen Yu asked, seeing Cyclops gradually adapt to the Flames of Tyranny skill.

”WOOF.”

It feels incredibly strong.

Seeing Cyclops grin widely, clearly very satisfied with this new ability, Wen Yu nodded in approval.

Cyclops: Third-level, Physical Strength 78 points.

First Skill: Mortal Combat (S-Class).

Second Skill: Flames of Tyranny (S-Class).

Third Skill: Blood and Flesh Badge (S-Class).

When Wen Yu reassessed Cyclops’s strength, he was astonished. Cyclops is monstrously powerful!

With three high-ranking abilities as its foundation, Cyclops could even contend with Level 4 creatures!

It was important to remember that the difference in physical strength between Third-level and Level 4 creatures was more than double!

And Cyclops, in the future, would undoubtedly become Wen Yu’s sharpest battle saber!

After assessing his soul pet’s abilities, Wen Yu promptly opened his space ring.

A quick scan of his consciousness revealed that, besides daily necessities like cigarettes, food, and drinking water, there were several useful items in the ring.

First was a Book of Black remnant.

Wen Yu had never used this item. Now, it seemed the Book of Black remnant had absorbed enough soul power to release its curse!

However, this kind of item was a double-edged sword; besides Wen Yu himself, even Cyclops would be cursed by it. Therefore, its use required careful consideration depending on the situation!

Then there was a piece of the mutant vines from Hualin Town, which was completely useless for now.

Finally, there were several medicinal potions.

One was a Berserker Potion, which could be a lifesaver in a dire situation!

As for the side effects, one could only leave it to fate.

There was also a potion to restore stamina.

The remaining items were one advanced healing potion and one military-modified healing potion.

The very last item was the Touch of Greed!

This is the most helpful item for me right now.

Taking it directly from the space ring, Wen Yu slipped the Touch of Greed onto his hand.

Cool and comfortable.

There was no other sensation.

It didn’t feel like he had put anything on at all, as if this pair of fingerless gloves was a natural part of his hand.

Experiencing the sensation of becoming one with the Weapon, and sensing a unique Spiritual Fluctuation, Wen Yu found he could now freely manipulate the Touch of Greed on his hand.

With a mere thought from Wen Yu, the Touch of Greed abruptly transformed!

The sections covering his five fingers rapidly elongated. In the blink of an eye, five sharp spikes protruded!

Then, under Wen Yu’s mental command, the five spikes lengthened and shortened, their transformations occurring with extreme speed!

Ignoring the astonished and envious gazes of the others, Wen Yu spoke directly to Sun Ruixing, who was not far away.

”Come, take your steel saber and try to cut this.”

Sun Ruixing looked eager to try. Without a word, he raised his steel saber and, with all his strength, swung it at the Touch of Greed.

”DING...”

A clear metallic clang resounded. Sun Ruixing’s hands were numbed by the immense recoil. Once he managed to endure the force, he looked down at the steel saber in his hands.

A clear notch, the size of a soybean, had appeared on the steel saber, while Wen Yu’s Touch of Greed remained completely unscathed!

Hmm, its sharpness and toughness should be comparable to a D-Class Weapon.

Wen Yu nodded with satisfaction. Then, he entered a combat stance.
