Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Chapter 103: Chapter 60: Cacodemons Island and the Temptation of the Devil!_1

If viewed from God’s Vision, as Wen Yu activated the Super Treasure Land, enormous entrances to the treasure land opened in hundreds of places simultaneously.

Even if some entrances appeared in rarely visited locations, nearly a thousand people entered the treasure land!

Countless professionists entered the Super Treasure Land Wen Yu had opened. These included those with series numbers, those who hadn’t undergone treasure land assessment but were no less powerful than series number professionists, and other powerful experts.

This was a contest among the powerful, as well as a knockout round for the series numbers!

...

About ten minutes later, Wen Yu suddenly felt the space he was in oscillate!

Then, he began to free fall!

Wen Yu was so startled his hand trembled, spilling the drink he was holding.

What’s going on?

My falling speed is increasing, but I can’t see anything!

They’re not going to let me fall to my death, are they?!

Wen Yu didn’t have to worry for long. Within thirty seconds, as the downward pressure intensified, the ’huge egg’ enveloping him slowed and then stopped.

Following that, the light wall of the ’huge egg’ grew blurry and gradually vanished.

SPLASH.

With the sound of hitting the water, Wen Yu, still in his large chair, plunged into a vast sea.

”Damn it!” Wen Yu cursed.

As Wen Yu’s body slowly floated to the surface, he let out a resigned sigh.

Just as the light membrane disappeared, Wen Yu had already observed his surroundings.

Besides the sea beneath him, a huge island was clearly visible in the distance.

Regarding this expected plunge into the water, Wen Yu could do nothing.

Luckily, my swimming skills are decent. As a Level 2 professionist, it would be truly tragic if I drowned in the sea!

Wen Yu pushed off with his hands and feet. The massive force propelled him like an arrow, straight towards the distant island.

If I’m not mistaken, the trials and treasures are all on it!

...

At the same moment Wen Yu hit the water, nearly a thousand identical light membranes smashed into the sea surrounding the island. As the professionists inside peeked out, they all began heading towards the nearby island at varying speeds.

...

The moment Wen Yu officially set foot on the island, a clear notification sounded in his ear.

”DING. Welcome, survivor, to the Super Treasure Land.

”This is the site for the first stage of the Treasure Land Trial—Cacodemons Island!

”The first stage trial task will now be issued.

”The first stage trial task is—The Cacodemon’s Temptation!

”In ten minutes, the Treasure Land Trial will officially begin! Once the trial starts, a survivor on Cacodemons Island will be chosen as the holder of the treasure.

”The treasure is—Pandora’s Magic Box!

”Each time a trial-taker opens the Magic Box, they will receive a large number of treasures. The more times the box is opened, the better the quality of the treasures! The Magic Box can be reopened thirty minutes after its last use. However, please be aware: after the Magic Box is opened for the final time, everyone in the treasure land will be forcibly transferred to the Second Stage. Teleportation jade charms cannot be used in the Second Stage!

”The number of times the Magic Box can be opened is unknown!

”Survivors, please control your desires. The end of greed is destruction!

”Radar will be issued to all participants. The radar will display the current location of Pandora’s Magic Box!

”There are no other living beings on Cacodemons Island. Survivors, please strive for your own opportunities!”

As the voice in his ear faded, a different sound echoed.

”DING. It has been detected that you possess the highest series number among the survivors currently in the treasure land. The Treasure Land Protector has chosen you as the holder of Pandora’s Magic Box.”

As the voice finished, two rays of light appeared before Wen Yu.

One was a translucent watch. As Wen Yu touched it, it materialized on his right wrist.

On it, a pointer spun back and forth, and a large point of light appeared at Wen Yu’s current location.

That’s the location of Pandora’s Magic Box!

Wen Yu’s expression turned grim. With this scanning radar, as long as I’m holding the Magic Box, I’ll have nowhere to hide!

The other ray of light, naturally, contained Pandora’s Magic Box.

Grabbing the object that inspired both love and hate, Wen Yu immediately lifted the lid.

”DING. Please note: the trial has not yet begun. Pandora’s Magic Box cannot be activated at this time!”

”Damn it! This is really going to screw me over!” Wen Yu cursed resentfully, then finally took a closer look at Pandora’s Magic Box in his hand.

The box wasn’t large, only about palm-sized. The patterns on it were complex and mysterious, and its overall design exuded a sense of nobility and magnificence.

But the more beautiful something is, the more deadly it tends to be!

Wen Yu quickly tested it and found that Pandora’s Magic Box could not be placed into his space ring.

Looking at the treasure before him, Wen Yu sank into thought.

”Sigh... this deadly little thing,” Wen Yu muttered.

Sighing, Wen Yu made his decision.

Monopolizing all the treasures is unrealistic. I’m not confident I can simultaneously face more than four series numbers and who knows how many other unknown powerful experts.

However, if anyone wants to snatch my things, they’ll have to pay the price!

The ruthlessness in Wen Yu’s eyes intensified. He directly activated his 2nd Soul Realm and summoned Cyclops.

”Prepare for battle!” Wen Yu said. ”This time, we have to get serious!”

The killing intent in Wen Yu’s tone grew stronger.

I can’t afford to lose the opportunities in the Super Treasure Land!

Cyclops, sensing the murderous intent in Wen Yu’s words, immediately shook his massive body.

Not far away, figures flickered.

Although the trial hadn’t started yet, there were no restrictions on the survivors’ actions on Cacodemons Island. The survivors who had received the radar were already converging on Wen Yu from all directions.

”I’ll take the left, you take the right,” Wen Yu commanded. ”We each kill ten first, and drag the corpses back!”

Hearing Wen Yu’s command, Cyclops immediately darted to their right.

A Cyclops with 25 physique points, while not invincible on this island, would rarely meet its match.

And Wen Yu, already in combat mode, was even more terrifying.

Like a gale, Wen Yu’s figure instantly vanished. Then, an air current shot out from his original position towards the left.

SLASH.

With that sound, Wen Yu’s figure reappeared a hundred meters to the left.

In front of him, a professionist stood dumbfounded, frozen in place, until a thin red line appeared on his forehead.

As a gust of wind blew past, the professionist’s body collapsed, neatly split in two.
