The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 246: Chapter 127: Mom Preferring Sons to Daughters (Conclusion)_2

Zhao Ran and Li Zijun were worried, so when they found He Tiantian, they were especially humble in their approach.

They did not act superior just because they were from a wealthier background and He Tiantian was just an ordinary housewife.

They were very polite, showing deep gratitude and respect for He Tiantian in every word.

”...Thank you, Sister He, thank you so much!”

”If it weren’t for you, our Xiao Bao might have died in the wilderness of Shenzhen or remained a fool all his life!”

Zhao Ran and his wife sincerely thanked her, not demanding the child just because they were his biological parents.

They carefully discussed with He Tiantian and made it clear that even if the child went with them, they would not stop He Tiantian from seeing him.

The two families could even interact like relatives.

Zhao Ran recognized He Tiantian as an elder sister and was also very close to Zhao Dan and Zhao Xiaoya.

He Tiantian:... Since his biological parents came for him, she would naturally return the child to them.

But—

Alas, humans are not plants, the affection of more than a decade really can’t be cut off.

”You, take Xiao Bao with you! Ah, when I first adopted Xiao Bao, I told the police that as long as the child’s parents came and didn’t mind that he was a fool, I, I would give Xiao Bao back to them!”

He Tiantian said, while wiping her tears forcefully.

Clearly reluctant but unable to hold on, her demeanor left Zhao Ran and his wife thinking of no other words than ”deeply understanding” and ”kind-hearted.”

Their gratitude toward He Tiantian grew even stronger.

Especially when Zhao Xiaobao was unwilling to leave, it was He Tiantian who patiently persuaded him: ”Xiao Bao, Mom and your sisters don’t want to lose you, you’re just gaining many more relatives who love you!”

”Baobao, first go with your biological parents, and once Mom settles down, she will come to Capital City to see you!”

After much persuasion, they finally managed to calm Zhao Xiaobao down and he obediently left with Zhao Ran and his wife.

However, although He Tiantian agreed to return Xiao Bao to his biological parents, some thoughts she still expressed—

”Although I’m not Xiao Bao’s real mother, I’ve raised him from a young age, for thirteen years, and I’ve come to see him as my own flesh and blood.”

”I know as his biological parents you wouldn’t treat Xiao Bao poorly, but, a mother will never rest easy!”

”So, I will keep in touch with Xiao Bao frequently in the future, and his two sisters will continue to support expenses for his education, marriage, etc.”

This wasn’t just for Xiao Bao’s sake, it was also because of He Tiantian’s mission.

After all, the system had made it clear that she was to coerce her daughters into providing a house, a car, and a wedding for her son, and to support him for a lifetime!

Zhao Xiaobao’s biological parents, one a second-generation official and the other a business elite, certainly didn’t lack this small sum of money.

But He Tiantian couldn’t not persist.

Zhao Ran and Li Zijun didn’t know He Tiantian’s true motives, assuming she truly loved Zhao Xiaobao and worried he might be mistreated back at the Zhao Family.

Indeed, although the Zhao Family was not a top-tier wealthy family, it was still populous.

And with many people, friction and conflict often arise.

Zhao Ran and his wife had only one son, but Zhao Ran had siblings, and Li Zijun had nieces and nephews.

If Xiao Bao hadn’t been found, and Zhao Ran and his wife refused to have more children, their descendants in the family would divvy up their wealth a hundred years later.

Now that Xiao Bao was back... Zhao Ran didn’t want to think poorly of his relatives, but money stirs people’s hearts.

Some people, for money and power, can do incredibly heinous things.

They had already lost Xiao Bao once and absolutely did not want him to be hurt again.

After much contemplation, Zhao Ran took the initiative to suggest: ”Sister, why not, I’ll arrange a house for you in Capital City, so you can live there. It would also make it easier for you and Xiao Bao to meet!”

Wanting to monopolize the child was impossible, and they truly were grateful to He Tiantian and her family.

Instead of being secretive and awkward, it was better to be open.

Perhaps this way, their bond with the child could grow stronger, and Xiao Bao could receive even more love and protection.

”Do you want me to come to Capital City?”

He Tiantian feigned surprise and said, ”Oh no, you don’t need to get a house for me, I, I can buy one myself!”

Before He Tiantian could even mention it, Zhao Dan and Zhao Xiaoya eagerly declared, ”Mom, I’ll buy you a house in Capital City!”
