The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 224: Chapter 120: The Mother Who Favors Sons Over Daughters (Part 7)

He Tiantian brought Zhao Xiaoya to Shenzhen, but didn’t immediately look for Zhao Dan.

First of all, she couldn’t shatter the persona she had set up.

The original host was a village woman who had never even been to the Provincial City, so mustering the courage to take a train to another province to look for someone was already very difficult.

It was only because she was fierce by nature that He Tiantian could exploit this trait a bit.

But even the fiercest of people, when they arrive in a strange place where they don’t speak the language and know no one, couldn’t just conquer all corners...

Haha, Zhao Xiaoya wasn’t just any ordinary seven-year-old girl, she was the female lead, the female lead, the female lead!

Even if Zhao Xiaoya didn’t notice anything unusual now, when she grew up and looked back on this period, she would definitely spot the problem.

Secondly, He Tiantian was certain that Zhao Dan wasn’t in danger.

Whether it was the original plot or logically speaking, when Aunt Hua sent Zhao Dan to the beauty salon, the salon owner wouldn’t just make Zhao Dan serve clients right away.

Although Zhao Dan was young and pretty,

she had just come from the countryside, skinny and dark, with the shrinking demeanor, timidity, and self-effacing air typical of rural people that severely diminished her good looks.

A girl like that wouldn’t fetch a high price.

Additionally, the owner didn’t want to make a quick, one-off deal; he planned to let the glamorous world slowly erode Zhao Dan’s heart with food, drink, and pleasure,

enticing her to dive into the mire and work hard to make money for him.

Coerced business and voluntary cooperation result in entirely different effects.

And according to the owner’s experience, for a country girl like Zhao Dan, just let her see the prosperity of a big city, the enjoyment of the wealthy, and she would slowly degenerate.

No need for anyone to force her; she would lie down willingly to make money!

Thus, after Zhao Dan was sent to the beauty salon, for the first one or two months, she was just normally washing hair and giving massages, exchanging hard labor for her food and shelter.

Well-fed and keeping indoors all day without wind or sun, Zhao Dan’s appearance underwent a significant change within a month.

She might still be unsophisticated, but she also radiated a natural, pure simplicity.

Her skin became whiter, her body fleshier; put her in a new dress, apply some makeup, and she’d resemble a fresh, young beauty.

And now, in the past few days, the number of clients specifically asking for Zhao Dan’s services was increasing.

The boss was looking at Zhao Dan with an increasingly satisfied gaze.

However, the only thing that displeased the boss was that no matter how much the ”seniors” around her showed off in front of Zhao Dan, nor how much he himself described the big city’s hustle and bustle to her, Zhao Dan just didn’t get it.

She really only wanted to wash hair and cut hair, and even had the audacity to timidly mention to the madam, ”I want to learn hair perming, so when I go back home in the future, I can open my own salon!”

Damn!

This isn’t a real salon, nor a vocational training center.

Is this little girl really clueless, or is she pretending to be dumb?

Although the boss didn’t force Zhao Dan to service clients, the way the ”female attendants” normally serviced clients was hardly hidden.

Even Zhao Dan herself had been groped on the thigh by impatient, lustful clients.

Yet, she still talked about learning a skill?

The boss was growing impatient; he decided it would all happen in the next two days.

Whether Zhao Dan was really clueless or feigning ignorance, he would clarify things with her.

It was best if Zhao Dan obeyed, but if she wasn’t willing, humph, he had plenty of ways to deal with her!

However, before the boss could confront Zhao Dan, a ragged He Tiantian had already found her way there.

”Daniu, Mom, Mom has finally found you!”

He Tiantian pushed past the ”security” at the door and stumbled over to Zhao Dan, who was clad in a crisp new dress.

Clinging to Zhao Dan’s arm, she looked her up and down, tears welling in her eyes, ”Good, good, my Dan hasn’t suffered!”

Zhao Dan was a bit stunned; she was in the middle of washing a client’s hair.

Both her hands were covered in thick foam when she heard a familiar voice.

She thought she was dreaming!

This is Shenzhen, how, how could my mom be here?

It must be because I miss home so much, miss Mom so much that I’m dreaming in broad daylight.

But, as she still turned her head, following the voice despite her disbelief, she saw a familiar yet somewhat strange figure.

”Mom? You, you, what happened to you?”

The face was familiar, but what was unfamiliar was her mother’s wretched and weary state.
