The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 226: Chapter 120: The Mother Who Favors Sons Over Daughters (Part 7)_3

”What’s going on?”

The boss, with an unfriendly look in his eyes, had already guessed the identity of He Tiantian and her daughter through their conversation just now.

And he had guessed what they were there for.

But, it was impossible!

It had taken him a month to transform a skinny, rustic country girl into someone presentable.

She was just starting to make money for him, and now someone wanted to pick the fruit?

Daydreaming!

”Boss, you’re the boss, right?”

Tiantian ingratiatingly offered a smile and quickly pulled out a stack of cash from the pocket at her waist, ”This is two thousand yuan. You had advanced three months of wages for our Daniu. Now, I’m paying you back!”

”Boss, count it! Not a penny less!”

Upon hearing this, the boss’s face grew even uglier as he asked deliberately, ”What do you mean?”

”I... my Daniu is still young, I don’t want her to work at your hair salon anymore!”

”I’m giving you the money, and I’m taking my child with me!”

Tiantian said cautiously, yet her tone was very firm.

”Taking her with you? What do you think this place is? You think you can come and go as you please?” The boss snickered darkly.

You see, owning a hair salon like this, the boss was no kind soul.

He was a hooligan when he was young and now operated this ruthless business, with several henchmen under his command.

They were all teenagers, having watched too many Hong Kong movies, aspiring to be gangsters.

Lacking a sense of right and wrong, only understanding the Itinerant World’s codes.

Give them a little money, stir them up a bit, and they really dared to stab people.

With such thugs at his disposal, the boss became even more arrogant.

In broad daylight, a girl’s parents found out his business, and even though they spoke nicely and offered money for ransom, he was not pleased.

”This daughter of yours has lived well and eaten well at my place for a month, and you say you’ll take her just like that? That’s too cheap!”

”I, my daughter did indeed stay at your place for a month, but, but she also worked for you for a month!”

Tiantian still remembered she was a ”shrew”.

The previous subservience and timidity were just because she had come to an unfamiliar place.

But when the other party went too far, repeatedly encroaching on her interests, Tiantian was somewhat unable to suppress her ”true nature”.

She couldn’t help but raise her voice, ”We don’t need this month’s wages, we’ll consider it as covering one month’s expenses for you!”

”You say it covers it just because you say so? Hmph, an ignorant bumpkin. Do you know that just the dress your daughter is wearing is worth more than one hundred yuan!”

The boss said angrily, through gritted teeth.

”More than one hundred yuan? You’re conning a ghost!”

Tiantian, like a true ignorant shrew, screamed at the top of her lungs, ”Just for such a small dress, even if you go to the best tailor shop, the material and labor costs are only twenty or thirty yuan!”

”You ask for more than one hundred yuan, you, you’re extorting me!”

”I am extorting you, so what can you do about it?”

The boss couldn’t be bothered to argue with Tiantian any longer, showing his true colors as a shameless bully: ”You can’t take the person!”

”You’re Huang Shiren, deciding I can’t take my girl away?”

”I said it, I’ve returned your money, not a penny short; what right do you have to keep my daughter!”

”You, do you realize that you, you’re breaking the law!”

Tiantian seemed to finally remember that there was this magical thing called ”law”.

”Oh, you country bumpkin actually know about the law now?”

The boss was amused, exaggeratedly bursting into laughter, then quickly returned to a stern face, coldly saying, ”I’ve signed a labor contract with your daughter, for five years!”

”That is to say, according to the law, your daughter must work for me for five years, otherwise, it’s illegal!”

The boss was obviously bullying Tiantian, a countrywoman who might not really understand the law.

Because even if there really was some labor contract, the contract itself would be illegal.

Zhao Dan was just fifteen, a clear-cut minor.

If the boss really dared to sign a labor contract with a minor, he himself would be implicated for employing child labor.

Not to mention that his hair salon was an illegal operation in the first place.

If it were proven that his hair salon was involved in selling *services, hehe, forcing minors and human trafficking and all such charges would be enough for the boss to rot in jail.

The law these days was still very strict; one slip-up could even result in a firing squad.

”It’s illegal? You say it’s illegal just like that?”

Tiantian feigned an appearance of fierce determination while loudly blustering, and at the right moment, she shouted, ”Run!”

Zhao Xiaoya had been ”inseparable from death” with Tiantian for a month and had developed a tacit understanding with her real mother.

Though Daniu did not have such a tacit understanding, the notion of ”listening to Mom” had long been ingrained in Daniu.

So, the two girls almost without any hesitation, upon hearing that ”Run”, desperately pushed past the obstructions in front of them and followed closely behind Tiantian, running out with all their might...
