The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 202: Chapter 112: A Male Lead’s Relative (Part Sixteen)_3

Mrs. Ye had been an ordinary person since childhood; the past glory of the He Family was like a hazy tower in the sky to her, beautiful but unreal.

But that glory had indeed existed.

As long as the He Family could restore the fragmented ancestral recipes and reopen Linxian Building, the He Family could reclaim their former glory!

”Right, Mom, I was teaching Xiao Tian how to chop vegetables this morning and he learned in a matter of minutes,” doing it much better than my month-long practiced knife skills!

Ye Chen, eager to pull his real mother in as a helper, spared no effort in praising He Tiantian.

He Tiantian:... could already imagine having two more people relentlessly goading her from behind.

Ironically, the encouragement from Mrs. Ye and Mr. Ye was something she couldn’t refuse.

She can’t even upset the Ye couple like she does Ye Chen on purpose.

”Oh, that’s wonderful, this is, this really must be the blessing of our ancestors!”

Mrs. Ye, hearing good news time and again, felt as though she was walking on air.

She was so excited she didn’t know what to say and, like a superstitious old lady, pressed her hands together and kept murmuring in gratitude.

”Yes, yes, yes! It’s nothing but good news that Xiao Tian has talent!”

Mr. Ye was a simpatico man who felt nothing but gratitude toward the Yue Family, never thinking about monopolizing their heirloom.

He Thian, as the only male descendant of the He Family, if he could learn the He Family’s signature dishes, then he and his wife and son would have done justice to his late father-in-law and brother-in-law!

The ancestors of the He Family would probably have to thank their family of three.

Seeing his parents so supportive, Ye Chen threw He Tiantian a smug smile.

He Tiantian:...

Humph!

She wrinkled her nose and returned Ye Chen’s smile with a roll of her eyes.

Seeing He Tiantian’s childish expression, Ye Chen was both annoyed and amused.

But then, all that was left for Ye Chen was annoyance —

”Xiao Tian, this is one of the He Family’s signature dishes, the Mandarin Duck Five Treasures Stew, a royal dish from the Southern Song dynasty!”

Ye Chen taught patiently.

Yet, He Tiantian seemed to be lost in her thoughts.

Despite He Tiantian’s lack of cooperation, Ye Chen didn’t get upset, ”Alright, you have a go at it first. Start by preparing the two pigeons, I’ll teach—” you.

Before he could finish, He Tiantian had already picked up the pigeons and with a few swift cuts, cleanly prepped them.

That knife skill, that speed, certainly surpassed Ye Chen, the Master!

And the way she handled the ingredients, was so meticulous and seasoned, genuinely like a chef who’d been cooking for decades.

Ye Chen:... this damn talent, it’s really something both lovable and hateful.

What was even more infuriating for Ye Chen was that He Tiantian had such great talent yet refused to cherish it.

”Alright, Brother, I’ve already prepared the pigeons, let’s call it a day today, okay!”

Saying this, without waiting for Ye Chen to reach out his hand, He Tiantian had already dashed out of the kitchen.

”Ding! The male lead’s anger value +3!”

”Xiao Tian, this dish, Twenty-four Bridge Moonlit Night, the recipe only has an illustration, but no specific method, how, how did you manage to make it?”

Ye Chen looked at the large ham placed on the prep table, as well as the rows of tofu balls on top, and was both shocked and delighted.

”Oh, a bit of thinking and I just knew it, even if the story ’The Legend of the Condor Heroes’ mentions it, not to mention our family recipe even has illustrations—”

After He Tiantian finished boasting, she continued to run off.

”Ding! The male lead’s anger value +5!”

”Xiao Tian, today a customer specifically asked for Beggar’s Chicken, I don’t make it as authentically as you, do you want to make it—”

”He wants to eat and I just have to make it? Brother, we run a private kitchen, not a catch-all grill, what we aim for is uniqueness, not service! Alright, alright, I’ve got plans to go hunting in the mountains with Third Young Master Qin, I’m off!”

”Ding! The male lead’s anger value +2!”

In the following days, similar scenes would often occur between Ye Chen and He Tiantian.

Ye Chen strived to guide ”He Tian” onto the Righteous Path so that he could master a skill that would allow him to lead an honest life in the future.

While He Tiantian just acted like a spoilt brat with the mindset ”I have talent, so I refuse to learn,” infuriating Ye Chen every single time.

Oddly enough, the anger value He Tiantian had earned had already shattered the 200-point barrier; the mission was long complete.

However, the bond between He Tiantian and Ye Chen only grew stronger.

Sometimes they seemed like they were quarreling, and indeed He Tiantian often got Ye Chen very upset, but there was always an unbreakable harmony and understanding between them.

Mrs. Ye and Mr. Ye found it miraculous, and concluded: These brothers are meant to have each other.

They may fight and cause commotions, but it never affected their fondness for each other.

Student Xiao D:... He Tiantian, what a big shot, I’m bowing down, as for the rest of you, do as you please!
