The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 244: Chapter 126: Mom Preferring Sons to Daughters (Part 13)_3

He Tiantian didn’t want to draw attention, let alone part with the old house she had lived in for ten years.

The family seemed quite ordinary; it was as if only Zhao Dan turned out to be a phoenix girl from the entire family.

Despite this, when Zhao Dan met the man of her destiny and finally married an equally outstanding business elite at the age of twenty-eight, the news somehow got back to Zhaojiawa.

Zhao Baozhu had the nerve to come looking for them.

He hadn’t seen them for thirteen years, and Zhao Baozhu looked more than twenty years older than before.

His hair had turned white, his face was full of creases, his back somewhat hunched, and one hand was missing a thumb.

”When I was working as carpenter with your uncle, I accidentally cut it off with a circular saw. Sigh, I stayed in the hospital for less than a week because the family really had no money!”

”Dachuan failed the university entrance exam this year and needs to study for a retake, Xiao Chuan also needs to go to the city for middle school, which requires a transfer fee, and then there’s me, my health has been getting worse and worse over the years...”

”And about the house at home, it’s really uninhabitable. You all bought that idiot a house, can’t you build a small Western-style house for your own father?”

Upon meeting, Zhao Baozhu immediately started complaining, waving his maimed right hand.

Zhao Dan was no longer the timid, naive girl who knew nothing but her parents.

Now a big shot in the fashion industry with her own brand, Zhao Dan had learned the ruthless decisions of the business world, and her warmth was reserved only for her family.

And unfortunately for Zhao Baozhu, he was not within the scope of ”family.”

She did not waste words on Zhao Baozhu, directly producing the agreement that he and He Tiantian had signed.

Of course, this agreement was not legal.

But Zhao Dan wasn’t opposed to legal proceedings either.

And according to the law, a child’s obligation to support their parents comes with conditions: reaching the age of sixty, losing the ability to work.

Zhao Baozhu did not meet either of these conditions.

Egged on by the widowed mistress, Zhao Baozhu began to seek out the media and mobilize relatives and friends to plead on his behalf, causing quite a spectacle.

Zhao Baozhu played the scoundrel, attempting moral blackmail, which caused both Zhao Dan and Zhao Xiaoya to be frustrated and angry.

They would not yield; however, before they could take action, He Tiantian stepped forward.

”No matter how much of a mess he is, he is still your biological father; you two are naturally unequal in status!”

”It’s different for me; he’s your dad, but I am your real mother. It’s not that you don’t want to care for him, it’s that I, as your mother, disagree!”

”Goodness! Why should I? When he was younger, he took care of someone else’s children and neglected you. Now that he sees you succeeding, he starts talking about ’father-daughter kinship’?”

”Keep dreaming! I’ve worked hard to raise you, and I haven’t enjoyed enough blessings yet, and he wants to snatch that away? Does he even deserve it?”

He Tiantian unleashed the dominant shrew’s stance she had honed in Zhaojiawa, winning every fight in the village; she disregarded any semblance of public image, daring to scratch and claw at Zhao Baozhu in front of the cameras, continuously cursing at him.

She declared bluntly, ”I will absolutely not allow my daughters to take care of that good-for-nothing who abandoned his wife and children. If they dare to disobey, they’re being disrespectful to me!”

”I am different from that good-for-nothing; I have struggled to raise two daughters, it is only reasonable and just that they should listen to me!”

He Tiantian diverted all the firepower to herself, adopting an unreasonable stance and standing her ground against Zhao Baozhu.

After her commotion, she managed to shift everyone’s attention to herself.

And the news of He Tiantian squeezing her daughters to buy houses, cars, insurance, and funds for herself and her son was also deliberately released by her.

Some of the audience, who initially deemed Zhao Dan and Zhao Xiaoya as heartless and unfilial from wealth, saw and heard all this and couldn’t help but start to sympathize with them.

Alas, the sisters were pitiable indeed. They had a father like Chen Shimei and to make matters worse, even their mother treated them as Tool Men to support the family.

The ”Helping-Brother Demon” sisters, who were pitied by the audience: ...sob, they were even more moved, what should they do?

Their mother truly loved them the most, willing to tarnish her own reputation in public just to keep them from being tainted by a bad name.

He Tiantian showed formidable combativeness, scaring off Zhao Baozhu directly.

Moreover, since Zhao Baozhu had not yet reached a dead end, nor was he left with no recourse, he backed off after He Tiantian’s scene, shamefacedly returning to Zhaojiawa.

Lost causes are indeed unreliable, but he still had sons; Dachuan and Xiao Chuan would surely provide for him in his old age.

This commotion blew up big, not just mainstream media took notice, but the internet was abuzz as well.

He Xiaotian and her three children’s details were dug up by the omnipotent netizens, even bursting out photos of Zhao Xiaobao.

Somewhere in Capital City, a family saw the pictures of the fair, delicate young boy and found him very familiar...
