The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 232: Chapter 122: Mother Who Favors Sons Over Daughters (9)_3

Otherwise, those traffickers wouldn’t have abandoned him.

If it were just a common cold or fever, the traffickers wouldn’t mind spending a hundred or two hundred yuan for medical expenses.

After all, a male infant three or four months old, plump and fair-skinned, is definitely in high demand and could be sold for two or three thousand yuan.

Even if they rushed to the hospital now, it would be useless because the traffickers had already had the child checked at an illegal clinic.

Originally, the traffickers planned to ”pass off shoddy goods”, thinking that since the child was only three or four months old, it would take at least a year or two for the buyers to discover he was mentally impaired.

And by then, the traffickers would have taken the money and disappeared, leaving the buyers with no one to hold accountable.

Besides, even if they were found, the traffickers had an excuse to retort, ”How do we know if it’s not because you didn’t take good care, turning a perfectly healthy child into an imbecile?!”

However, just when the traffickers were about to quickly get rid of the child, the child suddenly developed a fever, and several human trafficking dens in Province A and Province B were busted by the Public Security.

The ”word on the street” was that even though it had not yet affected these traffickers here, these traffickers all had their own sources of information.

The traffickers in Shenzhen planned to move as quickly as possible, and the feverish, crying child had become a burden.

During their escape, they simply abandoned the child in the bushes by the roadside.

Of course, with Student Xiao D’s ”God’s Eye View” activated, those traffickers definitely couldn’t escape.

Tomorrow when it gets light, He Tiantian will go to the police station to report, and at the same time, she will secretly provide the Public Security with some information about the traffickers’ personnel and escape routes.

”Mom, what if brother—” After crying for a while, Daniu still couldn’t bear it and said softly.

He Tiantian waved her hand, ”If it really doesn’t work out, well, that’s his fate. We’ll take him back and take good care of him, not letting him starve or freeze; that’s the best we can do!”

Hearing this, not just Daniu, but the female lead, Xiaoya, was also deeply moved.

Mama, their well-being is what she values the most!

And as if to confirm He Tiantian’s words, while the three of them continued to hide in the bushes below the slope, a commotion came from afar.

This time, the boss was riding a motorcycle, chasing after them with a few gangsters.

The roaring motor of the motorcycle was even more noisy in the silent wilderness.

Both Daniu and Xiaoya’s hearts, which had just calmed down, were suddenly gripped with fear.

”...keep looking! I refuse to believe that a woman with two children can get very far!”

The boss’s roaring voice came through the air, clearly showing how frustrated he was.

This was no longer about finding someone, it was about losing face.

He was, after all, a somewhat known figure in this area, and now he couldn’t even handle an ignorant village woman from the countryside.

If this got out, how was he supposed to maintain his reputation in the underworld?!

But what the boss was looking for was not just any common rural woman. He Tiantian pretended to be flustered, while inwardly she sneered continuously.

In the Divine Sculpture World, she had learned more than just the Orchid Brushing Acupoint Hand from Huang Rong, who wasn’t just good at cooking.

He Tiantian had also learned from Huang Rong about the Yellow Medicine Master’s Five Elements and Eight Trigrams, Qimen Dunjia, in which the clever Huang Rong dabbled.

Complicated things she might not know, but setting up a formation with a few stones like Huang Rong to trap someone or hide an area, she had no problem with.

He Tiantian looked at the stones placed around this corner, with no trace of panic inside her.

And indeed, the formation she had hastily set up proved to be effective.

No matter how the boss and his gangsters searched, even stepping on the edges of that corner again, they did not find He Tiantian and her daughters.

They continued until midnight, and the boss reluctantly led his gangsters away.

He Tiantian hadn’t moved yet; she encouraged her daughters to lie down on the ground and rest for a while.

Meanwhile, she continued to lower the boy’s temperature with acupoint pressing and massaging.

At four o’clock in the morning, the dawn was breaking.

Daniu suddenly woke from a nightmare, realizing that it was not so dark anymore, and waking her real mother, she hurriedly said, ”Mom, while there are fewer people around, let’s quickly head to town and report to the Public Security.”

Daniu’s persistence about the ”brother” made her forget that going to the police station might actually be ”walking into a trap.”

They believed the boss’s ”breach of contract” excuse.

However, the trio cautiously made their way into the town, and the clever Xiaoya suddenly remembered this while she was running to buy breakfast at a stall, and asked the stall owner a few roundabout questions.

”...Mom, I asked around! The boss said, whether it’s factories hiring workers or private businesses, you have to be at least sixteen, at least, ideally eighteen years old!”

”If you are under sixteen, that’s child labor, and the employers are committing a crime!”

And Daniu was only fifteen this year, so the hair salon boss’s narrative was complete deception.

He Tiantian and Daniu exchanged glances, seeming to gain more confidence. They quickly ate something and hurriedly entered the police station...
