Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1243: Chapter 1242: Dark Region (V)

Soon, the group moved forward along the tunnel again.

However, what made the girls quite curious was that, this time, the gray dwarf seemed like a different person. He no longer babbled nonsense or made any small moves but led the way honestly. The group was quite curious about this, but after discussing for a while, they couldn’t come to any conclusion.

”Ha, I wonder when we’ll reach the Dark Elf’s place...”

Bored, Walnut turned her head left and right, then looked at Akemi Homura, who sat next to her reading a book silently.

Then Walnut grinned and reached out to tap Akemi Homura on the shoulder.

”Hey, Homura.”

”Ah, yes, is there anything I can help with?”

Hearing Walnut’s greeting, Akemi Homura quickly put down the book in her hand and looked at Walnut beside her. Seeing Akemi Homura’s reaction, Walnut just chuckled.

”Don’t be so restrained, you see, we’re all companions here. Just call me by my name. By the way, it’s our first meeting, right? I heard Little Hei say that you’re a Magical Girl?”

”Ah... hmm...”

Hearing Walnut’s question, Akemi Homura hesitated for a moment but nodded.

”Hmm... Judging by your expression, it seems there are some hidden matters. But don’t worry, with Brother Fang Zheng around, nothing will happen.”

Perhaps noticing something from Akemi Homura’s expression, Walnut also tried to comfort her.

”Actually, those gathered around Brother Fang Zheng have all gone through some trouble, more or less. Take me for instance... hahaha, don’t be fooled by how normal I look now; I’m actually a zombie.”

”Eh?”

Upon hearing this, Akemi Homura widened her eyes in shock. Being a girl from modern society herself, she had of course seen zombie movies and games, but... this lively girl in front of her, could she really be a zombie?

”Um... does that mean in your world, that, um...”

”Ah, no, no.”

Although Akemi Homura didn’t finish her sentence, Walnut had already understood her meaning from her expression and waved her hand with a grin.

”In our world, zombies are still zombies, the kind that roar and pounce at people to bite them. Well, my situation seems a bit different. In short, Brother Fang Zheng brought me back to life. Although I still have a zombie body now, I can retain human rationality. Of course, the trouble is that I must rely on blood to maintain... looking at it this way, I seem more like a vampire... hahaha...”

While talking, Walnut reached into her bosom, took out a bag of blood, exposed her small tiger teeth, bit open a corner, and started gulping it down. In the blink of an eye, she finished the bag of blood.

”Huah...”

”How does it taste?”

Seeing Walnut savoring the taste, Homura couldn’t help but curiously ask, while Walnut made a pained face.

”Not good.”

”Really?”

”Yes, let me tell you, after drinking blood for so long, I finally realized that human blood tastes different too. You haven’t tried it, so you wouldn’t know. This blood is oily, greasy, and has a fishy smell. Hmm... the donor’s age should be about 30, definitely overweight, might even have fatty liver, probably a man... um... the more I talk, the more disgusted I feel...”

Saying this, Walnut showed a depressed expression. Although, like vampires, Walnut needed blood to survive due to her body constitution, she couldn’t drink the blood of living people like vampires could. Vampires could drain living people’s blood because their fangs could retract freely, and had a hollow inside, acting like in-built needles that could pierce into the body and draw blood directly.

However, Walnut’s fangs were just an ordinary human structure. If she tried to drink blood like a vampire, she’d bite off chunks of flesh.

So Walnut had no choice but to subsist on blood collected by Fang Zheng from other worlds.

But this brought about a problem.

The blood collected from those worlds at best told her the blood type, but not whether it came from a man or woman, old person or child. So every time Walnut drank blood, it felt like gambling; if she got a bag of high-quality blood, it was like drinking sweet glacier water.

If she got a bag of poor-quality blood, it was like drinking a mouthful of gutter oil; she wished she could just die.

Listening to Walnut’s grumbling and complaints, Homura’s initial tension and unease gradually dissipated. Originally, as the last newcomer, she always felt a bit out of place among these people. But now... next to Walnut, Homura relaxed.

However, just at this moment, Akemi Homura suddenly felt a slight abnormality in her body...

”That’s why I say modern people should exercise more, avoid eating junk food, and be considerate of those consuming blood... huh? What’s wrong with you?”

While Walnut and Homura chatted, Walnut suddenly noticed that Akemi Homura’s face was slightly flushed, and her breathing had become more rapid.

”Are you okay?”

”I’m fine, just a bit uncomfortable, don’t worry, it’ll pass soon...”

In a low voice, Homura reassured Walnut and discreetly glanced at Fang Zheng. She then lowered her right hand, and with her movement, a golden pocket watch appeared in her hand.

After forming a new contract with Fang Zheng, Akemi Homura naturally was no longer a magic girl contracted by QB. As a result, her original shield had changed into a golden pocket watch. Akemi Homura then reached out to hold the pocket watch and pressed it lightly.

”Click.”

The next moment, the entire world’s time came to a halt. Simultaneously, Akemi Homura leaped swiftly towards Fang Zheng.

”M-Master...”

”Want it again?”

Seeing time frozen around them and the flushed face of the girl before him, Fang Zheng raised an eyebrow and asked, to which Akemi Homura nodded.

”Yes, Master...”

”Hah...”

Upon hearing Homura’s response, Fang Zheng sighed.

Although in the Magical Girl’s world, Fang Zheng did everything perfectly, he overlooked one issue. Perhaps due to his Dragon’s Bloodline, after Akemi Homura transformed into a Dragon’s Clan member, her desire increased significantly, almost resembling symptoms of addiction. If she didn’t receive ”infusions” from Fang Zheng, Homura’s rationality would gradually collapse, eventually leaving her a creature acting purely on instinct.

Fang Zheng also investigated this with Ratziel, and the answer was that Akemi Homura was originally human, and the influence of Dragon’s Bloodline exceeded her capacity to withstand it. Of course, the Little Fire Dragon was the same, but as it was still in its infancy, it hadn’t reached this stage. Akemi Homura, however, was at this particular age as a young girl, and in terms of the animal kingdom...

Spring had come, bringing renewal to all things...

Indeed, Homura would return to normal once she got through this ”phase”.

But for now...

”You’ve gotten pretty skilled with this, huh.”

Aside from glancing at the people frozen in time around them, Fang Zheng clicked his tongue. Even Kurumi had been time-stopped... Hm, what’s there to say?

”Alright, you know what to do.”

”Yes, Master...”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s words, Akemi Homura turned and knelt down with her back to him, showcasing her curve wrapped in black silk.

Watching the beautiful scene before him, Fang Zheng faintly curled his lips...

”Click.”

”...if you’re feeling unwell... hmm?”

Just as Walnut was about to keep talking, she suddenly noticed that Akemi Homura beside her had changed appearance. The initial look of discomfort was gone, replaced by a relaxed, alluring demeanor. A splash of blush from Akemi Homura’s cheeks made the girl look exceptionally cute and enticing.

”Ah, thank you, Sister Walnut... I’m fine now.”

”Good to hear, and shouldn’t Magical Girls not get sick...?”

Pulling her gaze away, Walnut couldn’t help but twitch her nose.

Was it a hallucination? I feel like Little Homura has a peculiar scent...?

”Phew.........”

”Ah, Master, we’re almost there!”

At that moment, the gray dwarf’s voice sounded again from the front.
