Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1225: Chapter 1224: The Choice Is Yours

Leaving the room, Nanoha and Little Sakura looked very downcast.

Although they have encountered some things, they still live a happy and joyful life. They don’t have the mindset of ”sometimes it’s better to die than to live.”

This is a complete clash of worldviews. For the Magical Girls of this world, most of them have already died once before. They understand the malice of this world better than anyone else.

So many times, their views and thoughts are completely different from those of children like Little Sakura and Nanoha.

Along the way, the girls were very silent, not saying a word. They felt they should go help those people, because according to the children’s inner thoughts, the ”normal” procedure would be to help Mami Tomoe move on from the past and embrace the future.

But Anzu told them — she doesn’t really have a future!

It’s like the Prince marrying Cinderella.

If Little Sakura, Nanoha, and Shisei heard this, they would definitely think — Wow, this story is so romantic, Cinderella is so happy.

But if Sakurazawa Kyoko and Akemi Homura heard it, the first thing they would think about is — Cinderella is just a commoner, marrying the Prince, her life after marriage won’t be happy. A commoner queen would surely not be welcomed by the royal family. Besides, they only met twice before getting married, it seems the Prince was just attracted by Cinderella’s beauty, and when he gets tired of her as she ages, he would look for a new taste.

Ultimately, they would conclude — Cinderella’s happiness is only temporary, she might not be able to withstand the pressure of the court and end up committing suicide.

Cold, cruel, callous, and realistic.

This is what the Magical Girls of this world have encountered.

Little Sakura and Nanoha certainly can’t accept this, because they themselves live very happy lives. Little Sakura, although she lost her mother at a young age, was always cared for by her father and brother. And Nanoha, though she was neglected by her family for a while, has a harmonious and complete family overall.

So in their view, Cinderella would surely continue to live happily ever after with the Prince, have a few children, a happy and complete family, and so on like that.

However, if you ask Anzu and Homura, they might say, ”Yes, maybe there’s such good fortune, but it has nothing to do with us,” with an attitude of being outsiders to the matter.

Indeed, in this world, not a single Magical Girl is happy. They might have had happy families once, like Mami Tomoe and Sakurazawa Kyoko, but it was all destroyed.

And from that moment, they became completely different from children like Little Sakura and Nanoha who have ”happy families.”

Of course, not everyone is so downcast.

”Big brother, big brother.”

At this moment, Fang Zheng noticed someone tugging at his sleeve. He turned his head to see Little Hei winking and smiling at him.

”What’s up?”

”Let’s go out and play for a while, I have someplace I want to go.”

”Haven’t played enough yet.”

Hearing Little Hei’s request, Fang Zheng’s face changed slightly.

Among the several girls related to Fang Zheng, Little Hei is the most troublesome for him.

Tilia, although close to Fang Zheng, only makes requests and expresses needs when they’re alone. Kurumi is the same; she occasionally teases Fang Zheng on purpose, then makes a little joke. As for Asuna, Eiriri, and Black Cat, they are basically traditional females; even if there’s intimate contact, it’s mostly confined to bedtime.

But Little Hei is different.

The little one is very playful.

In that sense, she’s somewhat like Eiriri, but at least Eiriri considers the occasion, whereas Little Hei does not at all. Basically, if she wants something, she takes action immediately.

For example, right now, while others are not paying attention, Little Hei even stretched out her hand, pretending the weather was too hot, and pulled open her collar. Fang Zheng, who is much taller than Little Hei, naturally saw inside her collar...

”Little Hei, what are you doing?”

”Nothing, Illya.”

Hearing Illya’s voice, Little Hei giggled, casually tucked her collar back, and fanned herself.

”It’s a bit hot, don’t you think?”

”Really? I don’t think so??”

Illya is still naive, easily led astray by Little Hei’s few words, while Little Hei winked at Fang Zheng and mouthed, ”See you outside later.”

This little imp!

Fang Zheng knows of Lust Demons and Succubi in hell, and he has dealt with a Lust Demon, but only through the Swarm’s mental connection. At that time, Fang Zheng thought the Lust Demon, besides having an attractive appearance, wasn’t much. After all, Fang Zheng comes from a time where material life was more abundant, and he’s seen many ’white lotus’ and ’green tea bitches.’ In his eyes, the reason Lust Demons and Succubi can seduce mortals so easily is not just because they look decent, but also because they know how to do makeup and speak seductively, turning a six into an eight.

However, Fang Zheng thinks Little Hei has potential in this area too.

Clearly still a child, how can she play like this?!

Well, though technically speaking, she’s not really a child anymore.

Fang Zheng wouldn’t dare let Little Hei mess around. Especially now that there are more and more girls in the Grand Library, and Little Hei loves to play thrilling games; what if they got caught?

As for sealing, opening it is useless. Sealing is for isolating normal people; for these Magical Girls, it actually makes them more conspicuous! Honestly, not using the sealing might mean other girls won’t notice, but using it is definitely a case of ”no three hundred taels of silver here.”

Forget it, better resolve the problem at hand first.

After sending the other girls out, Fang Zheng returned to his room and sat on a chair, closing his eyes. Soon, the Divine Domain Trial appeared in front of him again.

Compared to before, this time the glowing circles in the Divine Domain had increased from one to three, which are [Wisdom][Radiance] and [Beauty].

Several circles flashed weakly, resembling faulty light bulbs.

Looking at this scene, Fang Zheng sighed, then extended his hand to lightly tap on it.

The next moment, he found himself in a small town.

This town appeared no different from an ordinary one, only the surroundings were filled with models of flowers and plants, scattered toy cars on the roads, looking just like children playing house. Not a single person was visible on the entire street.

Yet in such a world, one could hear the bustling vehicles and noise. Closing your eyes, you might think you’re on a lively street.

However, Fang Zheng paid no attention to this; he just walked straight along the road, reaching a house at the end, and pressed the doorbell.

Soon, a voice came.

”Who is this?”

”Water meter checker from the property company.”

Fang Zheng casually replied, and the other side seemed speechless. After a moment, the door opened, and Mami Tomoe appeared in front of Fang Zheng. Seeing him, she was momentarily stunned, then asked.

”Is there something you need?”

”Your electric meter is almost empty, I came to notify you.”

Saying this, Fang Zheng looked behind Mami, seeing several life-sized paper cutouts, their facial features drawn with crayons looking like a child’s scribbles.

However, Fang Zheng merely glanced without any further regard.

”If you run out of electricity, we will cut off your power.”

”......”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s words, Mami Tomoe’s expression turned a bit complex. She hesitated for a moment, then nodded.

”Okay, thank you, I know.”

”Sorry for the disturbance, goodbye.”

After saying this, Fang Zheng turned to leave.

There was nothing more he could do.
