Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1211: Chapter 1210: I’m a Professional at Lying

Kyoko’s speed was indeed very fast. The next day, just after Fang Zheng finished breakfast, he received a call from Kyoko saying that Saya and others wanted to meet with him to discuss Kamijou Kyousuke’s illness in detail, to which Fang Zheng naturally agreed.

However, when Fang Zheng drove to the café, he was greeted by Akemi Homura at the door, whose expression didn’t look too good.

”What’s wrong?”

Seeing Akemi’s face expressionless and a bit dark, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but ask with a smile. Hearing Fang Zheng’s question, Akemi hesitated for a moment, then frowned and said in a low voice.

”Saya came, and so did Kamijou Kyousuke’s parents!”

”Oh?”

Upon hearing this, Fang Zheng was slightly surprised, but soon returned to calmness.

”That’s fine, it’s more convenient to communicate directly with the family members... Why are you unhappy?”

”Because...”

Facing Fang Zheng’s inquiry, Akemi opened her mouth but didn’t know what to say. She had always thought this matter was just between them, but Miki Sayaka actually involved the adults and didn’t notify them in advance. This was clearly causing trouble on purpose!

”Alright, don’t take it so seriously, it’s quite normal, isn’t it? After all, this is about whether a person’s physical injury can recover, you can’t just let you kids sign off on it, finding guardians is obviously more prudent.”

Fang Zheng could guess a bit of Akemi’s thoughts. After all, she and Miki Sayaka couldn’t see eye to eye, and when you don’t see eye to eye with someone, you naturally become hostile and dissatisfied with any of their actions. In Fang Zheng’s view, this was normal. He had instructed Kyoko not to tell Saya about the magic, so after hearing Kyoko’s relay, Saya would naturally assume it was some scientific solution or something, and such matters had to be informed to the family.

”But she never mentioned it before...”

Akemi still couldn’t accept it. After all, she had gone through so many loops, and every time Miki Sayaka wished to heal Kamijou Kyousuke’s hand, she would keep it a secret. But this time, without saying a word, she directly told the other party’s parents?

This Miki Sayaka is deliberately going against me, right? Did she find out from Kyoko that I was the one who found Fang Zheng, and is now deliberately doing this out of suspicion of my intentions?

”Calm down, leave it to me, it’s not a big deal.”

Seeing Akemi almost driving herself into a corner, Fang Zheng sighed in exasperation. It seemed that in the numerous loops, Akemi had been seriously troubled by Saya, with inherently hostile reputation, irrecoverable.

”Ding-a-ling———!”

As Fang Zheng pushed open the café door, a bell rang. It was morning, and there weren’t many people in the café. Thus, Fang Zheng immediately saw Kyoko sitting not far away, along with a blue-haired girl beside her and two worried middle-aged people.

No question, they must be Kamijou Kyousuke’s parents.

”Ah, Mr. Fang Zheng!!”

Seeing Fang Zheng, Kyoko quickly stood up and waved at him. Her expression was also a bit tense, obviously, she didn’t expect Saya to bring Kamijou Kyousuke’s parents either.

Fang Zheng nodded to Kyoko and then walked over. Seeing him approaching, the middle-aged couple also stood up, curiously scrutinizing him.

”Excuse me, you are...?”

”My name is Fang Zheng. Are you Kamijou Kyousuke’s guardians?”

Faced with the middle-aged couple, Fang Zheng instantly exuded a powerful aura, taking the initiative. At Fang Zheng’s inquiry, the couple was taken aback, then nodded blankly.

”Yes, we are...”

”Please sit down.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng reached out his hand, gesturing for them to sit. At the same time, he sat with Akemi on the other side. Unintentionally, with just a moment’s encounter, the control of the entire situation shifted.

”I’ve already heard from Homura about the specific situation.”

After sitting down, Fang Zheng glanced at Akemi beside him, smiled at her, then turned to face the Kamijou couple before him again.

”I suppose you all must be wondering what method I have to help Kamijou Kyousuke.”

”Yes, Mr. Fang Zheng.”

At this point, hearing their son’s name, the Kamijou couple finally snapped back, and the husband hesitantly spoke.

”We have discussed it many times with the doctors. According to modern medical technology, it’s impossible to completely heal Kyousuke’s hand. Even if he can barely move, wanting to play the violin as he did before isn’t likely...”

Saying this, the Kamijou couple didn’t hide their confusion and doubt. After all, every doctor had told them this, and they had long accepted it. Although they didn’t believe there was any way, as parents, they’d try as long as there’s a glimmer of hope.

”That’s indeed the case.”

After listening to the Kamijou couple’s doubts, Fang Zheng nodded calmly.

”Healing hand injuries is a major worldwide challenge. Generally, even after surgical repair of tendons, it’s difficult to regain the original function. This is the biggest pain point in hand surgery today. Of course, as long as the surgeon’s skills are good and postoperative rehabilitation is smooth, maintaining a normal life is no problem. But... it seems that’s not the case for your son.”

”Yes, yes!”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s words, the Kamijou couple nodded excitedly. Although what Fang Zheng said wasn’t different from what the doctors had told them, this instead made them have a bit of confidence in this young man—at least he could articulate these points and still claimed to help them, which was enough to show that this young man came prepared and wasn’t just a scam artist speaking nonsense!

”Are you also a doctor, Mr. Fang Zheng?”

”I’m not a doctor, of course.”

Facing the Kamijou couple’s inquiry, Fang Zheng shook his head.

”I currently work at a medical research institute. It’s like this, Mr. Kamijou. Our institute recently developed a new nano-repair technology. It’s mainly used for perfect repair of patients’ limbs through nano-machines and bioelectricity, allowing them to recover faster and better in a shorter time. Based on current experiments, the results are decent, but these are ordinary people’s standards. We’ve long hoped to find patients involved in precision work to conduct clinical trials... Luckily, I heard about your situation from Homura...”

As a game planner, Fang Zheng naturally had the knack for fabricating lies, simply claiming they developed a new treatment technique, which passed phase one animal trials and is preparing for phase two clinical trials. The current results in ordinary people are decent, but higher-ups value practical proof more. Kamijou Kyousuke is a violinist, and his hand can’t play due to an accident. If he can play again through this new treatment, it would prove the technique’s practicality and prospects...

”Of course, we need communication and permission from the hospital and doctors, but the guardians’ opinions are also important, and we need the patient’s consent too...”

Though Fang Zheng hadn’t formally practiced medicine, he had basically studied all fields to a doctoral level using his abilities, and a round of professional jargon thrown out immediately dazzled everyone, making them feel the grandeur akin to sci-fi movie terms.

However, when Fang Zheng mentioned needing the patient’s hospital and doctor’s consent, the Kamijou couple felt relieved—if Fang Zheng were a fraud, he wouldn’t make such a request.

Of course, they clearly didn’t know Fang Zheng had the Divine Artifact ”Ratziel” in hand.

Whether the hospital and doctors agreed was just a casual remark from Fang Zheng.

By the time the exchange ended, the Kamijou couple’s earlier worry had completely transformed into excitement and anticipation.

”Everything is in your hands, Mr. Fang Zheng, please save our son!”

”Rest assured, we’ll proceed according to regulations. If Kamijou Kyousuke indeed meets our criteria, we’ll include him in the clinical observation range.”

Fang Zheng also stood up, smiling, and shook hands with the Kamijou couple.

Only Akemi Homura and Madoka Kaname were left staring blankly at this scene with nothing to say.

They thought it would be quite challenging, yet unexpectedly, within just a few dialogues... it was settled?
