Chapter 1204: Chapter 1203: Magical Girl Madoka (I)

For Madoka, the following days were nothing short of a blur.

Just like many boys have a dream of becoming a hero deep down, many girls have a dream of becoming a Magical Girl. Especially after witnessing that incredibly dazzling Magical Girl battle before, Madoka had many thoughts, and she wanted to find Akemi Homura to get some answers. But in the following days, Akemi Homura claimed to be sick and absent, leaving Madoka unable to find her.

As for her friend Miki Sayaka, she dismissed Madoka’s words as mere illusions or dreams, not taking them seriously at all, which left Madoka somewhat disappointed.

However, on this day, when Madoka walked into the classroom again, she was surprised to find that Akemi Homura was there, sitting at her desk!

”Homura!”

Seeing Akemi Homura’s figure, Madoka happily ran over, and upon hearing Madoka’s voice, Akemi Homura looked up expressionlessly, silently watching her.

”What is it?”

”Um...”

Faced with Akemi Homura’s icy expression, Madoka was momentarily at a loss for words. She hesitated for a long time before finally asking softly,

”About the other day...”

”...I know.”

However, before Madoka could finish her sentence, Akemi Homura interrupted her.

”Come to the rooftop during lunch break.”

”Huh? Oh, okay!”

Hearing Akemi Homura’s response, Madoka froze for a moment, then nodded vigorously, smiling gleefully as she ran back to her seat. Meanwhile, in a place she couldn’t see, Akemi Homura sighed helplessly, and at the same time, Fang Zheng’s voice came through her earphones.

”CUT! CUT! What did I tell you before? Don’t be so hasty! You should let Madoka finish what she wants to say first, then show silence and contemplation, and finally, as if you’ve made up your mind, invite her to the rooftop! Remember, you’re very reluctant to let Madoka become a Magical Girl! What about your character setting?! I’m telling you, if this were a real movie, you’d have to reshoot this! Don’t mess up your next scene with Mami during lunch!”

”I’m sorry, I was just a bit nervous...”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s complaints, Akemi Homura breathed a sigh of relief, indeed her performance just now was too rushed... Luckily Madoka didn’t suspect anything...

Soon, the morning classes ended, and during the lunch break, Akemi Homura stood up, looked towards Madoka’s desk, showing a somewhat hesitant expression, and at this time, Fang Zheng’s voice came through her earphones again.

”Don’t look at Madoka, just leave directly, go to the rooftop!”

”...Okay.”

Following Fang Zheng’s instructions, Akemi Homura silently turned and left, while Madoka, who originally planned to call out to her, was surprised to see her leave directly. She quickly apologized to her friends and hurriedly followed Akemi Homura out of the classroom.

”Haah...”

Watching this scene on the screen, Fang Zheng sighed helplessly, then looked towards the girls around him to complain.

”I really didn’t expect it; Akemi Homura looks pretty smart on the outside, but internally she’s just dumb and clueless... I’ve explained the scenes to her so many times, how can she still not act them out properly? Generally speaking, isn’t a three-no ice queen type supposed to be a perfect Superman?”

But Fang Zheng wasn’t entirely surprised, either. Don’t be fooled by Akemi Homura’s seemingly perfect performance at school—excelling in academics, outstanding in sports—this is basically her ”cheating” result. She has looped back not over a hundred, but at least eighty times. With so many repetitions going to classes every day, anyone normal could score full marks, and as for being excellent in sports, that’s even simpler—are the physical attributes of a Magical Girl just for show?

But when it comes to acting, something she’s completely unfamiliar with... Ah, maybe she just doesn’t have the talent for it.

Just as Fang Zheng was lost in thought, Madoka caught up with Akemi Homura, and the two walked wordlessly all the way to the rooftop. Akemi Homura pushed open the door and entered, and soon, they saw Mami Tomoe standing with her back to them, looking at the scenery outside through the wire fence.

Hearing the door open, Mami Tomoe turned her head to look at Akemi Homura and Madoka, a slight smile forming.

”You’re here.”

In fact, not only Mami Tomoe, but even Sakurazawa Kyoko was willing to cooperate. The reason was that after Akemi Homura explained everything to Fang Zheng, he then called Mami Tomoe and Sakurazawa Kyoko over and had Akemi Homura explain it to them again.

Of course, Mami Tomoe and Sakurazawa Kyoko didn’t believe it at first, but that wasn’t difficult for Fang Zheng. He had Akemi Homura reveal some little secrets about Mami Tomoe and Sakurazawa Kyoko—after all, they had fought side by side in countless loops, and Akemi Homura naturally knew some things about them.

After receiving the evidence, Mami Tomoe and Sakurazawa Kyoko had no choice but to accept this fact, and Fang Zheng then invited them to join the Magical Girl Madoka production crew.

And now, Mami Tomoe played an important role among them.

”Isn’t this the same girl we saw the other day?”

With a calm smile, Mami Tomoe walked over to Madoka, curiously sizing her up, while Madoka seemed a bit uneasy under Mami Tomoe’s scrutiny.

”Yes, um... may I ask who you are...?”

”My name is Mami Tomoe, I’m a second-year student.”

”Senior Ba...”

”You can just call me Mami, no need to be so formal.”

To Madoka, Mami Tomoe smiled again and then looked towards Akemi Homura.

”So, you called me here because you’ve decided that it’s her?”

”Well...”

Hearing Mami Tomoe’s inquiry, Akemi Homura was momentarily stunned, then resumed her usual calm expression.

”Yes, I think since she has already seen it, maybe... she could become our companion.”

”Is that so...”

Faced with Akemi Homura’s answer, Mami Tomoe pondered for a moment, then looked back at Madoka.

”You mean she has potential?”

”She has potential, and I have confidence...”

”Since you say so, I have no objections.”

”Wa-wait a minute!”

Hearing Mami Tomoe and Akemi Homura’s conversation, Madoka was dumbfounded, and after recovering her senses, she quickly interrupted them.

”Um... I still don’t understand what’s going on here...”

However, in response to Madoka’s inquiry, Mami Tomoe tilted her head, still smiling gently at her.

”Your name is...?”

”I’m Madoka Kaname.”

”Well then, Madoka Kaname, I have a question I want to ask you.”

As Mami Tomoe spoke, she glanced at Akemi Homura and then looked back at Madoka Kaname.

”Would you like to join us and become a Magical Girl?”

”Huh?!!”

Upon hearing this, Madoka Kaname finally screamed.

”Haah...”

Watching the conversation between the two on the screen, Fang Zheng helplessly raised his hand to his forehead and sighed. Perhaps to others, Akemi Homura had only paused for a moment just now, but Fang Zheng knew very well that just after Mami Tomoe questioned Akemi Homura, she went so far as to pause time, then took out a piece of paper from the shield on her arm and looked at it several times...

She forgot her lines!!

Is this really okay?

At that moment, Fang Zheng began to have grave concerns about whether Akemi Homura could handle this role...
