Chapter 1218: Chapter 1217: The Mirai of Infinite Possibilities

When Shisei opened her eyes again, it was already a new day.

Get up, change clothes, freshen up, and come to the dining room once more.

”Ah, Shisei!”

Upon seeing Shisei, both Fang Zheng and Little Sakura greeted her with smiles, and Shisei gracefully returned the greeting, as always.

”Good morning, brother, Little Sakura.”

But speaking of it, why is Little Sakura having breakfast at our house?

This doubt flashed through the depths of Shisei’s heart, then quickly found its answer.

Oh right, ever since Little Sakura’s mother passed away, she has been adopted by the Daidouji Family. We are sisters...

After getting this answer, it seemed as if Shisei’s heart was at ease. She returned to her seat and the three happily enjoyed breakfast together.

”I’m full, Shisei, let’s go to school!”

”Okay, Little Sakura!”

Putting on their shoes and backpacks, the two held hands and waved goodbye to Fang Zheng, then left the house with smiles.

Shisei stood on the steps, silently watching their figures disappear, then returned to her room. This time, Shisei walked to the wall, reached out, and pressed a button on a nearby lamp holder. Soon, the bookshelf slowly slid open, revealing a secret room leading underground.

Looking at the secret room before her, Shisei’s face brightened with a cheerful smile. She walked into the secret room, descending the stairs.

At the bottom level, an ornately decorated, beautiful, and warm room appeared in front of her. This room had no walls, surrounded entirely by transparent glass walls. Inside the glass walls was a luxurious guest room with a tea table, chairs, and a velvet bed.

On that velvet bed lay a petite and charming girl.

”Ah... Little Sakura...”

Gazing at the sleeping girl with closed eyes, Shisei rushed forward, pressing against the glass wall, her eyes unblinking, as if admiring a beautiful painting, her expression filled with enchantment.

After a while, Shisei finally looked away, pushed open the door, and entered the room.

”Shisei...?”

Hearing the door open, Little Sakura opened her eyes, looking at Shisei and smiling.

”I’m here, Little Sakura.”

Looking at Little Sakura lying on the bed, Shisei joyfully reached out and embraced her tightly. The two girls closed their eyes, their cherry lips meeting...

”...Teacher, isn’t it done yet?”

Seeing Shisei still seemingly asleep, Little Sakura asked worriedly, and Fang Zheng furrowed his brow.

”Uh... let’s wait a bit longer, probably no problem...”

Frankly, Fang Zheng had no confidence now. Time in the Illusion Realm and reality is not synchronous, but what exactly happened to Shisei?

Meanwhile, on that velvet bed, the two girls held each other, their cheeks warmly nuzzling.

”Little Sakura, Little Sakura, who is your favorite person?”

”Of course, it’s Shisei.”

”Then, Little Sakura, are you happy now?”

”Hmm... I’m really happy, because as long as I can be with Shisei forever, I’m the happiest!”

”Ah, Little Sakura... my lovely Little Sakura...”

Hearing that lively answer, Shisei happily hugged the girl in her arms tightly.

”Let’s always be like this, okay? Always like this...”

”Yes, of course, I will always, always be with you, Shisei?”

”Ah, Little Sakura...”

Watching the two girls holding each other tightly, Shisei slightly furrowed her brow, standing outside the glass wall.

”But... this is wrong...”

”Why?”

At the same time, another Shisei appeared behind her, leaning close to Shisei’s ear and asking softly.

”Why? Why is this wrong? Isn’t this my wish? I want to be with Little Sakura forever, I want her to like me as much as I like her, I want Little Sakura to be happy, is that wrong?”

”As long as Little Sakura can be happy, that’s my greatest happiness.”

Facing the inquiry from another self, Shisei answered calmly. However, the other her just gave a soft laugh.

”So, can you tell me what Little Sakura’s happiness is?”

”Eh?”

Hearing this, Shisei was taken aback, and the other her reached out and hugged her from behind.

”Think carefully, Little Sakura will grow up one day; she might meet a man, fall in love, and then maybe get heartbroken. Do you think that’s happiness for Little Sakura? Even if she gets married? Haven’t you forgotten about Aunt Nadeshiko? She was very happy marrying Little Sakura’s father, but because of overwork, Aunt Nadeshiko left this world. What if Little Sakura faces the same fate as her mother? Even if she’s truly happy, could you calmly accept Little Sakura’s departure then?”

”I...”

Hearing this, Shisei’s body started to tremble.

”I will try my best not to let such things happen...”

”But love isn’t rational, my poor self, why do you leave Little Sakura’s happiness in the hands of others? Why don’t you have the confidence to personally ensure Little Sakura’s happiness?”

The other her slowly extended her hand to caress Shisei’s neck, chin, and then cheeks.

”Did the teacher not always say so? Only by doing things yourself can you be well-fed and well-clothed. If you let Little Sakura feel being with you is happier than with anyone else, both of us could be happy, right? Why voluntarily give up this right?”

”Because......”

”Is gender the issue? Is liking each other impossible because we’re both girls? But I’ve already fallen for Little Sakura. I hope she can be happy. Yet I can’t bear to see her hurt, why can’t I then?”

”Because it’s wrong, it’s like I’m manipulating Little Sakura, and that’s wrong.”

”But isn’t it enough as long as Little Sakura herself feels happy? See here.”

As she spoke, the other her forced Shisei to raise her head, looking at the girls embraced in slumber inside the glass wall.

”Look at Little Sakura, in your arms, how happy she is now, so adorable, beautiful, that happy smile belongs only to you. Isn’t this your wish?”

”I......”

Shisei opened her mouth, then lowered her head, and seeing her reaction, the other Shisei smiled.

”You can’t lie to me because I am you, all that you hide deep inside your heart. Playing the obedient girl is tiring, isn’t it? Clearly hoping mom would spend more time with you, yet having to act sensible, watching her busy with work every day. Clearly wanting a closer relationship with Little Sakura, but stopping at being friends, is it really enough to be just Little Sakura’s close friend? Look at mom, after Aunt Nadeshiko passed away, how sad she was. Do you want to follow the same path as her?”

”.........”

”There’s still time.”

The other Shisei leaned close to her ear.

”You know what the future holds, you can change it all with your own hands. Don’t let Little Sakura tread the same path as her mother, and you don’t have to repeat this sad cycle. Do you really want to wait for this, for you to grow up, and then Little Sakura also passes away for some reason, leaving behind her daughter, while you marry another man, and have a daughter to continue the relationship? Do you want to leave this painful cycle to your child?”

”No...... Fate is not unchangeable, Aunt Nadeshiko’s fate might not replicate in Little Sakura.”

”Really? Can you declare that confidently? What if it happens, how would you prevent it? Haven’t you ever been afraid?”

”.........”

”That’s right, whether me or Little Sakura, we are both still young, maybe facing love will require growing up some more, but...... don’t you want to plan ahead?”

”.........”

”I am you, so...... I understand you.”

The other Shisei gazed at her, smiling.

”I know what you would do because...... I am you.”

Hearing this, Shisei finally lifted her head, this time with a troubled expression.

”The teacher is right, this is really troubling...”

As she spoke, Shisei took a few steps forward, breaking free from the other herself, then turned around to gaze at her.

”Honestly, I have thought about being with Little Sakura forever, I am indeed worried, but...... I believe everything will change. Because there’s a teacher...... the teacher will help us, and if Little Sakura really encounters any difficulties, then the teacher will certainly help us, and also...... thank you.”

At this point, Shisei smiled at the other herself.

”Maybe you’re right, I’ve been too passive, I still believe that Little Sakura’s happiness is my happiness, but that doesn’t mean I can’t work hard to make Little Sakura happy...... after all, I’m Little Sakura’s best friend......”

Shisei reached out her hand to the other herself.

And looking at the girl before her, the other Shisei also smiled.

”Seems you’ve finally understood what you need...”

As she spoke, the other Shisei extended her hand to grasp it.

In the next moment, the entire world shattered instantly.
