Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1221: Chapter 1220: Can I Really Trust You?

With QB’s departure, the room once again fell into silence.

”Hmph, all local foxes pretending to be chickens in Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio.”

Fang Zheng snorted disdainfully, then sat on the sofa. The Incubator is very impressive? It’s just a cosmic civilization, trying to act like a big shot in front of me, you don’t have the Pioneer abilities so stop boasting here. Speaking of which, even if the Pioneer was here, Fang Zheng wouldn’t give it any face either.

As for Akemi Homura, she stood there dumbfounded, still not reacting ——— she had to know that just now, she was fighting for Kyoko’s fate, but now, the situation was completely beyond her expectations.

This has actually become a confrontation between two civilizations?

Is this some kind of sci-fi movie?

”What’s wrong? Standing there like a wooden person?”

Seeing Akemi Homura standing there blankly, Fang Zheng asked amusedly, and upon hearing his question, Akemi Homura seemed to come to her senses and quickly sat down, looking at Fang Zheng.

”Um, Mr. Fang Zheng...... what you just said......”

”Hmm? What?”

”That...... declaring war on the Incubator civilization...... was that a joke?”

”Why? Do you think I’m joking? Why would you think that?”

”Because......”

Facing Fang Zheng’s retort, Akemi Homura was momentarily at a loss for words. Declaring war on an entire civilization wasn’t something she had ever heard of before. Not to mention, although Akemi Homura deeply hated QB, she never thought about taking revenge on the entire Incubator race. Not because she didn’t want to, but because she knew she couldn’t do it.

It’s like a person wouldn’t think of trying to scoop out the entire ocean, you simply can’t do it.

However, for Fang Zheng, all it takes is one railgun shot to turn an entire planet into glass.

This is the gap between civilization levels.

Primitive tribe people won’t have the concept of a nation, let alone civilization. To them, the hostile tribe that fights for the same piece of land is the biggest enemy. They cannot imagine what it is like to be a cosmic empire, soaring through the stars, possessing countless planets with vast territories and airspaces.

The same goes for Akemi Homura. She might be able to understand class, school, race, and nation as collective concepts, but when it rises to the level of a ”civilization,” it becomes somewhat ”intangible” for Akemi Homura.

To the point that when Fang Zheng declared war on the Incubator civilization, Akemi Homura had no real sense of it, as if she were listening to leaders talk about ”united struggle for well-off living, build new social relationships” ... every word is understandable, but she doesn’t know how to interpret them.

”So, Mr. Fang Zheng, what are you planning to do?”

”Completely destroy it.”

”Completely..... destroy??”

”It’s quite simple.”

Seeing that Akemi Homura still couldn’t understand, Fang Zheng had to explain it to her in more direct terms.

”It’s about wiping out all Incubators, destroying their civilization and star systems, letting them completely disappear from this universe... Do you understand now?”

”Does it have to go... that far?”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s answer, Akemi Homura was stunned. Although she had killed QB more than once, Akemi Homura was still a kind-hearted girl, and Fang Zheng’s cold and ruthless answer made her feel somewhat uncomfortable.

”Of course, you heard it, their aim is to save this universe, they don’t care about human lives. Actually, didn’t you once say that during your time loops, there was a time when Kyoko turned into a Witch, and it would’ve only taken ten days to destroy the entire human civilization. At that time, what did the Incubators do? Didn’t they just pat their butts and leave?”

At this point, Fang Zheng snorted coldly.

”In that case, we should return the favor, moreover think carefully about it, Homura, from the time humans have existed, they’ve been meddling all along, how many girls have been enticed by them into becoming Magical Girls and then turned into Witches, and how many people have Witches killed... We are humans, what we have to protect is Earth and human civilization, any external interference that causes destruction and threat to human civilization must be completely eradicated!”

By the time he finished the last sentence, Fang Zheng’s tone already revealed a strong murderous intent.

This even frightened Akemi Homura a bit. All along, Fang Zheng had appeared very amiable to her, but just now, he coldly announced his intention to massacre a cosmic civilization, such a blatant and undisguised killing intent truly made Akemi Homura a little scared.

But upon thinking carefully, Akemi Homura also felt that Fang Zheng’s words made a lot of sense, plus those QBs— were truly detestable!

As far as Akemi Homura was concerned, she couldn’t care less about cosmic entropy or entropy or whatever, in short, you dared to make a move on Kyoko, that makes you my enemy!

I don’t care whether the universe would be destroyed in a year or a million years.

No matter what you intend to save, intending to hurt Kyoko is absolutely not allowed!!

Speaking of, Kyoko......

Thinking of this, Akemi Homura became gloomy again.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, did I...... do something wrong?”

”Hmm?”

Upon hearing Akemi Homura’s query, Fang Zheng looked at the girl in front of him.

”What’s the matter?”

”Because, QB said......”

”Forget its nonsense.”

Before Akemi Homura could finish, Fang Zheng disdainfully interrupted her.

”Listen up, Homura, don’t take an alien beast’s words to heart, so-called conjecture is an unverified hypothesis, practice is the only criterion for truth, besides, you even believe its nonsense?”

”But...... Kyoko she......”

”Let me ask you this.”

Seeing Akemi Homura in this state, Fang Zheng was also exasperated by her indecision and shook his head.

”You told me before, before becoming a Magical Girl, Kyoko had once fought the Witch’s Night for you, right? At that time, she sacrificed herself and destroyed the Witch’s Night, which is why you had time to contract with QB... If the Witch’s Night hadn’t been eliminated by Kyoko, then would you have had the leisure to make a contract, you’d have joined Kyoko in death by love immediately.”p>

Hearing the words ”death by love”, a flush appeared on Akemi Homura’s previously fair cheeks, then she also lowered her head and nodded, not saying a word.

”Isn’t that the point? Back then you hadn’t even contracted, yet Kyoko could handle the Witch’s Night single-handedly, did she have your causal line then? So don’t listen to QB’s nonsense, fools like to drag you to their level, then defeat you with their experience. You have to believe in science, believe in materialism...don’t be deceived by pseudo-science...”

”Uh.........”

Hearing this, a complicated expression emerged on Akemi Homura’s face, she didn’t know what to say for a moment.

After all, she’s a Magical Girl, and yet you want her to believe in science......

For a while, the two were speechless again, and Fang Zheng felt he’d said everything that needed to be said, so he stood up and patted Akemi Homura’s head.

”Alright, it’s late, you should rest, I’ll be off then.”

After saying this, Fang Zheng turned and prepared to leave.

But to Fang Zheng’s surprise, as soon as he took a step, suddenly, Akemi Homura ran behind him, tightly hugging him.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, can I really trust you?”

Then, Akemi Homura asked.
