Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1213: Chapter 1212: Since That’s the Case, Then There’s Only...

Everything has a balance.

The problem Fang Zheng is facing now lies in this aspect.

Don’t be fooled by how Little Sakura and Nanoha, the magical girls in their world, seem to live leisurely and happily, because as magical girls, they also have obligations to fulfill and trials to face.

If Little Sakura fails, all those related to the Clow Cards will lose the memories of their ”most beloved person.”

If Nanoha fails, she’d end up paralyzed, possibly never soaring into the sky again for the rest of her life...

They only gained and mastered the powers of magical girls by passing through these rigorous trials. Of course, if they succeed, all is well, but if they fail, the scenario immediately changes.

The current issue is that the reward and effort for becoming a magical girl are disproportionate. Take Momoe Nagisa, for example. Her wish was merely to let her seriously ill mother taste cheese cake, but she ended up having to sign a contract to become a magical girl and step into a harsh world to fight?

Any normal person would find it unbelievable to hear this.

Yet, QB did just that.

Moreover, the QB race harnesses the energy produced by this imbalance to use for themselves.

Simply put, they are more like unscrupulous businessmen. They ”buy in” magical girls at a low cost, letting the world balance this ”process,” but the energy of that balance is utilized by the QB race.

In layman’s terms, even if Momoe Nagisa really signed the contract with QB to become a magical girl and fight for the sake of fulfilling this wish, even if she didn’t think much of it, the world would silently ”reissue” the part of her destiny she should have received.

For example, as her mother recovers from eating cheese, she might even potentially find a good job and live a happy life.

After all, a piece of cheese doesn’t balance endless battles and can’t maintain that kind of balance.

But the energy or destiny that the world should have compensated Momoe Nagisa was stolen by QB, and that’s why she met such a tragic end. Not only did her mother die, but she herself became a witch out of despair.

But is the world really so easily deceived?

Fang Zheng wonders if the leaking of energy from this world to Little Sakura’s world wasn’t a coincidence, but a deliberate move by the will of this world — after all, no matter how big-hearted a boss is, they can’t tolerate their subordinates embezzling public funds endlessly, can they?

Besides, it’s clearly QB causing trouble, so why should the world take the blame?

If the magical girls here come up with, ”It’s all the world’s fault,” then wouldn’t the will of this world unjustly suffer?

Therefore, the process of Fang Zheng modifying rules is actually reaching an agreement with this world. Just like his negotiations with Alaya and Gaia in the Type Moon World, to completely eliminate QB’s twisted evil system, Fang Zheng must propose a new plan that both he and this world can accept.

However, unfortunately, despite discussing with the girls for a long time, Fang Zheng couldn’t come up with any valuable suggestions.

”Haaa...”

Little Hei helplessly raised her hands and stretched.

”It’s really troublesome. If only there was a god, we could hand all these issues over to a deity, wouldn’t that be better?”

”Haha, it’s not that easy...”

Hearing Little Hei’s complaint, Fang Zheng shook his head with resignation.

”Magic is magic, deities are deities. You can’t simply demand magical girls to become paladins... hmm?”

At this point, Fang Zheng suddenly had a flash of insight.

Yes, why can’t magical girls become paladins?

Previously, Fang Zheng’s thoughts largely revolved around what the magical girls themselves should do, but he had forgotten there was a simpler way.

Indeed, if magical girls mess around on their own, they are likely to get into trouble.

But if there’s someone in charge above, then it wouldn’t be so easy to cause problems, would it?!

Exactly, just like paladins!

Most paladins are kind, brave, and righteous.

But there are fallen paladins too... if that’s the case...

Then why not treat magical girls as a religion to manage?

Like the Holy Church that believes in the Goddess of Order, as long as paladins adhere to their beliefs, they receive the power bestowed by the goddess. Conversely, if they stray from the path of order, they become Black Knights and Chaos Knights.

If you apply the religious system of the Main World to the magical girls of this world, then Fang Zheng sees potential!

Simply allow those who believe to gain power and become magical girls, and if they stray from the path and beliefs of a magical girl, they transform into witches.

Of course, on the surface, this may seem no different from QB, but in fact, there are significant differences. QB intentionally turns magical girls into witches to maintain the ecological food chain, but Fang Zheng’s design is meant as a punishment.

After all, what if a magical girl uses her power for evil deeds? Should she be allowed to act arbitrarily?

Of course, Fang Zheng even thought of the ”redemption” scenes he often saw in his original world. Yes, if a magical girl commits too many evil deeds, she can become a witch. But conversely, if she has a repentant heart, she can be ”redeemed and transformed,” becoming a magical girl once again.

After all, Fang Zheng isn’t a devil!

That’s right, the God of Magic!

Don’t forget that Fang Zheng came to this world to ignite the divine fire, and now he finally seems to have seized this clue!

If he can become the deity of the magical girls, the God of Magic, then all problems can be resolved!

And if Fang Zheng’s method truly succeeds, it means he can ignite the divine fire and become a deity!

However, achieving this isn’t easy, as it requires sincere faith — well, perhaps not extremely devout faith, but due to the way QB’s disgusting system messed up lives with the girls’ wishes, a large amount of power is required to straighten these world lines again.

This is an astronomical figure. Who knows how many magical girls exist in the world right now?

The number might potentially reach thousands or even tens of thousands.

And to correct all these magical girls’ destinies and rebuild the magical girl system, the power Fang Zheng needs to consume is equivalent to nearly an entire nebula!

Luckily, he burned an entire universe in the zombie world before this, so his power is still sufficient for now. However, the ”mass” of each world is different. The zombie world lacks any particularly powerful magical civilizations and is closer to an ordinary world, which means repairing the destinies of these magical girls will be considerably costly.

Of course, the best solution is for Fang Zheng to burn a similarly or even more powerful ”High Magic World,” so he would have plenty of power to use.

However, for Fang Zheng, it’s impossible to burn down this magical girl’s world.

But it doesn’t mean he can’t burn civilizations.

Especially some bad civilization... why not burn it rather than keep it for New Year’s?
