Chapter 1203: Chapter 1202: Let Me Show You the Storyline of a True Magical Girl

The train continued forward, and Akemi Homura finally confessed her past to Fang Zheng.

Once, she was just an ordinary girl, but after meeting the Magical Girls, Akemi Homura’s life underwent unimaginable transformation. At that time, she always followed Mami Tomoe and Kyoko, watching them fight, until the very end—facing the existence of Witch’s Night.

Then, Mami Tomoe fell in battle, and Kyoko, in order to protect Akemi Homura, perished together with the witch.

After crying over Kyoko’s body, Akemi Homura made a decision. She made a wish to QB, which was—”To meet Kyoko again, not to be protected by her, but to protect her!”

Because of this wish, Akemi Homura returned to one month prior, the day she was discharged from the hospital.

And then began the endless cycle.

Originally, Akemi Homura’s idea was very simple. As long as she became a Magical Girl and fought alongside Mami Tomoe and Kyoko to eliminate the Witch’s Night, it would be enough. She smoothly joined Mami Tomoe and Kyoko, and the three of them eliminated witches and then faced Witch’s Night.

Then...... they defeated Witch’s Night. However, Akemi Homura witnessed with her own eyes that after this, Kyoko transformed into a witch.

At this moment, Akemi Homura finally realized they had all been deceived by QB.

She returned to the past once again, attempting to tell the others the truth. However, since Akemi Homura knew nothing about why QB did this, and she also had no evidence to prove her words, in the end, no one was willing to believe her.

Until one of their companions, due to excessive distortion, transformed into a witch in front of them.

Eventually, Akemi Homura, along with the others, had no choice but to kill the companion who had been transformed into a witch.

However, just when she thought that everyone would believe her and fight together after knowing the truth, she was almost killed by Mami Tomoe. The frenzied Mami Tomoe, unwilling to face the reality of transforming into a witch in the future, first killed Anzu, then attempted to kill Akemi Homura, but was killed by Kyoko.

In the end, Akemi Homura and Kyoko worked together to eliminate Witch’s Night. At that moment, Akemi Homura was already exhausted. She even thought about becoming a witch together with Kyoko, to continue like this forever. But unexpectedly, Kyoko hid a Seed of Lament, saving Akemi Homura, and asked her to return to the past once again to save her foolish self, who was deceived by QB.

So, to fulfill this promise, Akemi Homura began another cycle.

Cycle after cycle, but each time, she ultimately failed.

Fate seemed to be toying with Akemi Homura—either they failed the final confrontation, or Kyoko became a witch.

In these repeated cycles, Akemi Homura gradually began to grow numb.

Until she met Fang Zheng and the others.

”To be honest, when I saw you all, I was really shocked. In my countless cycles, I had never encountered a similar situation. Perhaps some parts may have differed, but I had never seen your existence until now...... I thought that perhaps I could break the cycle, that maybe this is the herald of the end.”

Lowering her head, Akemi Homura finished her words in one breath, then let out a long sigh, and by then, the train had already arrived at the platform.

The two got off the train, and Fang Zheng casually bought a drink from the nearby vending machine and handed it to Akemi Homura, who softly thanked him before taking the drink and starting to drink. Perhaps because she finally found someone she could confide in, Akemi Homura appeared much more relaxed than before at this moment.

Watching Akemi Homura finish her drink, Fang Zheng finally spoke.

”So, let me confirm, your purpose is to prevent Kyoko from signing a contract with QB and to eliminate Witch’s Night, right?”

”Yes.”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s inquiry, Akemi Homura nodded, but Fang Zheng asked again.

”But...... why does QB always want Kyoko to sign a contract?”

”I’m not too sure either, but from what QB said, it seems that Kyoko has some kind of special potential, capable of gaining very powerful Magical Girl powers......”

”In that case...... it’s simple.”

”Simple?”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s words, Akemi Homura was taken aback.

”What do you mean?”

”It means...... as long as Kyoko becomes a Magical Girl, that’s enough!”

”What are you saying!”

Hearing this, Akemi Homura immediately became agitated, throwing away the drink bottle in her hand and glaring viciously at Fang Zheng.

”Didn’t you hear what I said? Kyoko doesn’t want to become a Magical Girl, that’s her wish...... you......”

”I think you might be misunderstanding something.”

But before Akemi Homura could finish, Fang Zheng interrupted her.

”Don’t think that you Magical Girl types are the only ones who count as Magical Girls. Have you forgotten those little girls around me? They are the true Magical Girls, and even if one doesn’t become a Magical Girl, it doesn’t mean they can’t fight. In fact, I have thoroughly examined what you call ’Magical Girls’, and at best, it’s just another method of power enhancement for advanced civilizations. We have at least a thousand such methods at the Heavenly Dao Palace, if not eight hundred, like this...”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng took out a bracelet, and upon seeing this method, Akemi Homura was stunned.

”What is this?”

”This is called Hard Light Armor, technology from another space-faring advanced civilization. It can solidify light beams into solid form, and as long as there’s enough energy, it can do everything your Magical Girls can do. If it runs out of energy, just swap the battery... of course, one battery can generally provide half a year’s worth of energy. It won’t transform into a witch, nor distort into some creature out of despair. What do you think of this?”

”............”

Faced with Fang Zheng’s words, Akemi Homura was speechless. After a while, she seemed to come to her senses.

”So your meaning is......”

”Exactly, if QB goes to all this trouble to make Kyoko a Magical Girl, why don’t we do it before them? Or is there a wish that Kyoko must fulfill?”

”That’s not really the case... she’s different from Mami Tomoe. The latter had to sign a contract with QB after being nearly killed in a car accident, but......”

”But?”

”Kyoko has a classmate named Miki Sayaka, who secretly loves a boy whose hand is injured in an accident and will never play the violin again. To heal him, Miki Sayaka will make a wish to QB. But after learning about the truth of being a Magical Girl, Miki Sayaka doesn’t have the courage to confess to him, ultimately darkening into a witch......”

”Well, that’s easy.”

Fang Zheng waved dismissively again and took out a personal terminal.

”See this? It’s medical gel from another space-faring civilization era. As long as you’re not dead, even if you have one breath left, one shot can save you. Recovery and so on are naturally not a problem... is there anything else?”

”............”

Hearing this, Akemi Homura was completely speechless. After a long while, she slowly shook her head.

”No, nothing else...”

”Good.”

Faced with Akemi Homura’s answer, Fang Zheng nodded in satisfaction, and then he opened his personal terminal.

”Everyone, listen up. Starting tomorrow, we have a new mission to execute. The operation plan is named...... uh......”

Here, Fang Zheng thought for a moment, then clapped his hands.

”The operation name will be ’Magical Girl Madoka’!”
