Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 750: Chapter 749: The Privilege Dog Is Really Annoying!

Once upon a time, the Goddess created this world.

She bestowed upon this world all that was beautiful and hoped it would become as wonderful as Heaven.

Yet, the deities of this world failed the Goddess’s expectations, becoming greedy, selfish, and malevolent. The struggle was incessant, with blood sacrifice and death and destruction everywhere. Eventually, they coveted the power of the Goddess, desiring to kill her and become supreme deities themselves!

But they failed, and, alas, in the last moments, they sealed the Goddess away. She has been waiting, waiting for the day she can break free from her seal and return to this world. When that time comes, she will make those who once betrayed her pay the price!

Now, Fang Zheng stood before the seal, and all he needed to do was reach out his hand, and the destiny of the entire world could change!

......All of the above were just Fang Zheng’s wild imaginations.

”I really don’t want to open this thing, no matter how I look at it.”

Looking at the thing in front of him, which looked 90% like a seal of an Evil God, Fang Zheng felt his heart pound. Although that was just his imagination, standing in front of this door, why did it feel like 90% of his wild thoughts might actually be true......

To open, or not to open?

Fang Zheng had tried using the Prophecy Spell and the ”Ratziel” for dual confirmation, but it turned out that something personally designated by the Goddess was indeed extraordinary, as the Prophecy Spell gave no feedback whatsoever, and Fang Zheng could not understand even a single word on the ”Ratziel”.

”Speaking of which, even if I wanted to open it, I don’t know how.”

Standing before this ”Bronze Gate”, Fang Zheng checked it thoroughly top to bottom, but couldn’t find any apparent means to open it. The entire gate seemed as if it was a wall sealed off here, and of course, Fang Zheng also considered whether he should resort to violent means to open it, just as he had done in Anan. But...... in the Main World, a door personally closed by the Goddess wouldn’t be so easy to open, right?

Considering this, Fang Zheng reached out and gently touched the Bronze Gate before him.

What Fang Zheng did not expect, however, was that at that moment, suddenly, he heard a system notification by his ear, following quickly, a stream of information appeared before his eyes.

Authority application?

After reviewing the system information before his eyes, Fang Zheng furrowed his brow and began to think carefully. Though he hadn’t been able to open the door, the information from the system provided him with some clues.

Firstly, this place was a ”data repository,” which meant that if someone with sufficient authority arrived here, they should be able to directly open the data repository. His authority came from the system, and the system had ”intersected” with this world when he first time-traveled and entered the Temple.

Indeed, this could also be seen from the system’s prompt.

It showed, ”Insufficient authority, unable to initiate.” This meant Fang Zheng’s system was clearly recognized as part of this world’s network, but because the level wasn’t high enough, he couldn’t open the Goddess’s data repository... But how had he managed to open the Goddess’s bathhouse last time?

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng frowned and spent a good while recalling the event. He remembered that last time, they seemed to have gone through no particular steps but were simply scanned by some authorization program and then let through. Oddly enough, why did accessing the Goddess’s bathhouse require no authorization, yet entering the Goddess’s data repository did? What was the logic behind that?

Regardless, exploration was clearly at an end for now. Without the necessary authority, he could not open the data repository, and since this was a ”data repository”, there was certainly a lot of content within that Fang Zheng wanted to investigate. Since the ”Ratziel” was unable to extract the information, Fang Zheng’s next step could only be, as the system suggested, to increase his authority level.

However, the method for increasing his authority level was...somewhat peculiar.

Looking at the task prompt before him, Fang Zheng also felt puzzled. The free tasks had changed after the system ”update.” Originally, free tasks were composed of ”Mind,” ”Skill,” and ”Body” worlds. But after the system update, Fang Zheng found these three worlds had undergone changes, turning into ”Soul,” ”Wisdom,” and ”Power.” While at face value this seemed to bear no difference from the previous ”Mind-Skill-Body,” Fang Zheng nonetheless felt that this superficial change wasn’t merely for the sake of an ”update.”

He vaguely sensed that these three free tasks corresponded to the three flames in his soul ritual site. If Fang Zheng’s ”firewood” was absorbing power to feed them, could these three tasks be considered a form of ”refinement” for the three flames?

In any case, for now, Fang Zheng must complete these three free tasks to increase his authority and open the door... Of course, if that was all there was to it, Fang Zheng might not have given it much thought. After all, it was just time-traveling, and after such a long time, having been through so many battles, what problem could arise from one more time-travel?

However...in actuality, Fang Zheng did indeed have concerns, and as for the reason...

”Sigh...”

With these thoughts in mind, Fang Zheng reached out to open the Dimensional Codex, and then opened the newly updated free task column. On the pages of the Codex burned red, yellow, and blue flames. And beneath this column, a conspicuous text hint was flickering.

[Note: Initiating the Free Trial will randomly teleport any number of members from the personal world along with the holder into the trial.]

Yes, this was the part that gave Fang Zheng a headache.

If it were like before, with only him traveling through worlds by himself, Fang Zheng wouldn’t be concerned. But if others were to join him in traveling, the situation would be completely different.

The reason was simple. In the ”Trial World,” any aid from the system would be sealed, and Fang Zheng could only rely on his own strength to fight—a non-issue for the current Fang Zheng.

But for those little ones in the Heavenly Dao Palace, this was a serious problem.

If we ranked the Soulstones Fang Zheng held by strength, it was basically Black Katie, Kurumi, Yoshino, Tilia, Atalanta, Nymph... But if the trial rules stripped them of their special powers, these girls, who could have easily defeated the final boss with just a flick of their fingers, would become truly vulnerable young ladies. Take Black Katie, for instance; without the Power of Existence’s help, she might not even be able to defeat Natsuse and Nobiru!

If we followed the rules of the Trial World, the one who could fight best under Fang Zheng’s command would be the Cursed Child. As for the Mind Models...it would depend on what the system considered their ”special powers” to eradicate.

Since he couldn’t access the data repository, Fang Zheng could only leave for now. Of course, before departing, he didn’t forget to have the Zerg establish a defense base here. As for those ”invaders” from the Kingdom of Flame... they could keep jumping around for the time being.

After all, jumping around won’t get them pregnant.

And if they did, it could always be taken care of.
