Chapter 704: Chapter 703: Red Faction A Went Up

The battle had reached a stalemate.

The Red and Black LANCERS were locked in fierce combat, while the Red RIDER and Black ARCHER in the forest were leaping about enthusiastically. Red ARCHER was kite-flying with Red BERSERKER in tow around the battlefield, and Black BERSERKER was mindlessly clearing out the lesser troops. And then there was...

”Boom!!”

A deafening roar erupted from the sky, and Fang Zheng looked up toward the source of the noise to see Black RIDER being hit by a magic attack released from the airborne fortress. The griffin he had been riding was reduced to ashes in the onslaught, and Black RIDER himself plummeted straight to the ground — whether he survived or not, Fang Zheng had no way of knowing.

However, it seemed that the ASSASSIN’s decision to target RIDER was indeed reasonable.

But what exactly was the Red Faction waiting for?

Although it appeared that both sides were engaged in fierce battle, Fang Zheng’s intuition as a Prophet Mage told him that the current fight was nothing more than a ruse by the Red Faction to distract the Black Faction. These people obviously had other intentions, but... what were they planning to do?

With this thought, Fang Zheng opened his personal terminal again and carefully observed the battlefield, then he frowned slightly.

Although on the surface, the war seemed normal thus far, the bird’s eye view from the observer revealed that the Red Faction was seemingly leading the Black Faction’s Servants away from the castle, knowingly or not...

Damn it, these damned guys couldn’t be trying to lure the tiger away from the mountain, could they!

”———————!!”

Just as Fang Zheng was about to pick up his phone to contact Danik, suddenly, a bestial roar erupted sharply, startling him. He hastily turned his head toward the direction of the noise, then raised his hand in front of himself with a look of disgust.

”That thing is truly disgusting!”

What Fang Zheng now saw was the fully Berserk Red BERSERKER Spartacus, who had completely lost his human form during the battle with Red ARCHER, transforming into a grotesque creature with eight arms and a swollen body, looking like a meat maggot with two short legs dragging behind. Red ARCHER was in a difficult position, dodging the flailing arms of the transformed BERSERKER while shooting arrow after arrow into its body. However, Red ARCHER’s attacks seemed futile, as her arrows were as weak as needles before Red BERSERKER.

But the enlarged BERSERKER was now an easier target!

”Die, creature!”

After dodging another strike from the gigantic monster, Red ARCHER leaped gracefully onto a distant rock. She raised her longbow toward the sky once more.

”I beseech the protection of the Sun God and the Moon Goddess with my bow — Arrow Missive!”

The arrows flew into the air again, then fell as a rain of light, the area of impact significantly concentrated around the monstrous figure of Red BERSERKER. Soon, under the relentless volley of arrows, the muscles on Red BERSERKER began to tear and explode. Huge holes appeared throughout its massive form. Its head, arms, body, everything was torn to shreds in the rain of light.

In the end, when the Rain of Light Arrows ceased, all that was left on the ground was a shapeless mass of flesh, riddled with holes like a piece of cheese.

”Phew...”

Only then did Red ARCHER breathe a sigh of relief. She wiped the sweat from her forehead and was about to turn away.

But at that moment, Red ARCHER was horrified to find that the mangled mass of flesh that should have been obliterated by her arrows was rapidly inflating like a balloon!

The muscles began to swell from the wounds and gaps as if inflated, and the previously destroyed head was also rapidly regenerating. Moreover, Spartacus became even more immense and hideous than before!

”Isn’t this guy ever going to stop?”

”Oooooooohhh!!!”

Spartacus let out a roar of agony mixed with excitement. At the same time, almost every Servant on the battlefield felt the terrifying power contained within Spartacus’s body.

After endure the rain of arrows from Red ARCHER, the magic power he had converted from the injuries he suffered had exceeded the limit. His body was incessantly repaired within the magic power, and then due to the expansion of that very magic power, he was injured again, whereupon the damage he sustained was once more transformed into magic power and concentrated within his body...

”This is a pill of disaster!”

Fang Zheng stared dumbfounded at the battlefield, watching the gigantic creature that began to swell like a balloon. He could feel that at this moment, BERSERKER contained such immense magic power within his body that if it were to be harnessed for power, it could potentially directly boost the progress of his system repair to ninety percent.

But Fang Zheng didn’t dare!

The Spartacus before him was like a bomb filled with explosives inside his body, and with just a little spark, he would unleash an attack so formidable that even Fang Zheng did not dare to face it head-on. If Fang Zheng were to light it now, he would likely end up half dead from the explosion.

”What the hell is that idiot CASTER doing? Didn’t he say he had controlled this nasty thing? Use a Command Seal to command it, quick!”

Although Spartacus’s Noble Phantasm was powerful, the amount of magic power his body could withstand was limited. Under such circumstances, it would not take long before it exploded with an unstoppable attack and then disintegrated completely.

Although Fang Zheng also wanted to withdraw, he could not do so now, for through Future Sight, he had confirmed that Spartacus’s final strike was aimed directly at the City of Tolifas. If Fang Zheng did not block here, the blow would reduce the small city along with tens of thousands of its residents to ash.

”Ah ah ah ah, O oppressor, take this, my enraged strike!”

Finally, in that moment, alongside Spartacus’s roar as he reached his limit, a rainbow torrent of light burst forth abruptly, whistling across the entire battlefield. It mercilessly devoured all that dared to stand in its path, then charged straight towards the City of Tolifas near the Castle of the World Tree.

Here it comes!

Watching the beam of light approaching, Fang Zheng took a deep breath. Of course, he had a way to deal with this attack; otherwise, he wouldn’t have foolishly stayed here...

After all, it was their Holy Grail War; involving innocent civilians was not the right choice.

Fang Zheng raised his hand and gestured forward as if holding something.

”Come forth, Unsealing Master!”

With Fang Zheng’s command, the gigantic scepter-like key once again appeared in his hand, then Fang Zheng quickly grasped the scepter and gave it a fierce twist.

”Unsealing Master— Open!”

”—————!!”

In that instant, a massive black hole abruptly appeared before Fang Zheng, floating in the air like a mirror. The light beam filled with formidable power shot straight into the black hole and in the blink of an eye, disappeared without a trace.

”Phew......”

Only then did Fang Zheng relax. Just now, he had used the Angel ”Unsealing Master” to open a passage to the outer universe, and the light beam was directly thrown by Fang Zheng into the midst of the Milky Way. As for what it would hit next or what it would become...as long as it did not hit Earth, Fang Zheng could not care less.

However, just as Fang Zheng put away the Angel and was about to check the damage on the battlefield, he saw a scene that took him completely by surprise.

Somehow, the Red Faction’s Floating Citadel had already arrived above the Castle of the World Tree!

What does it intend to do?

Seeing this scene, Fang Zheng suddenly had a bad premonition.

And it was as if to confirm his premonition, a light beam shot out from the Floating Citadel and struck directly into the heart of the castle!
