Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 709: Chapter 708: One Problem Follows Another

”I really never expected something like this to happen...”

Fiore clenched her fists tightly, her brow furrowed with an expression of seriousness and solemnity. Sitting beside her, Gold also displayed an incredulous look. As a Master, they were powerless regarding the floating courtyard in the air. Thus, they were also unclear about the situation inside, which is why they only learned about the events inside after receiving news from the Artificial Human soldiers.

But even so......

”That Danik actually...”

Gold displayed an expression of disbelief and then shook his head. It was no wonder he wore such a look; among the World Tree of a Thousand Realms clan, Danik was the most prestigious, usually perceived as a calm and steady magician. But unexpectedly, he had taken such a mad course of action.

Why did it have to turn out like this?

Fiore lifted her head, looking out the window, where the Artificial Humans were diligently repairing the damaged castle. Until today, everything had been going smoothly, but once the war really started, everything shifted in a completely different direction. Up to now, the situation for the Black Side...

No, it couldn’t even be called a situation anymore.

The Greater Holy Grail had been taken, her own side’s Servants were almost entirely dead or wounded, SABER, BERSERKER, RIDER, LANCER, all defeated, leaving only her ARCHER and CASTER and ASSASSIN...

”MASTER!”

Just then, suddenly, Fiore heard the voice of her Servant in her mind. Hearing Chiron’s voice, Fiore immediately focused her mind to respond.

”ARCHER? What’s the situation?”

”It’s bad; is Master Roger there? Send someone immediately to ensure his safety; CASTER has betrayed us!”

”What?!”

Hearing this, Fiore was stunned.

”Boom boom boom!”

At that moment, a thunderous roaring sound came from outside, followed by the tightly closed door being suddenly pushed open as Coles rushed in, gasping for breath.

”Sister! It’s bad; CASTER has activated his Noble Phantasm!”

”What?!”

When Fiore and Coles arrived in the courtyard, the first thing they saw was a massive pitch black figure, slowly emerging from the lake.

”That is...!”

Seeing the eerie and terrifying giant, Fiore tensed her nerves. She certainly knew what it was. In this Holy Grail War, the Black Side’s summoned CASTER was not known for battle prowess in the frontlines; instead, he was a master at creating Magic Puppets. His Noble Phantasm, Crown of Radiant Wisdom, was an extremely powerful Magic Puppet. In a sense, it could be considered an Inherent Barrier that simply by existing, could continuously change the world...

But it had always been hidden in the lake behind the World Tree of a Thousand Realms clan due to its lack of a suitable power core.

But now, CASTER had activated his Noble Phantasm? Does that mean he had found a suitable core? Wait... ARCHER said he had betrayed us, which means, for CASTER, the most suitable core would be his former Master...

Just then, as if to confirm Fiore’s speculation, the giant opened its mouth and let out a thunderous roar.

”———————!!”

Oh...how noisy...

Mr. Fang Zheng opened his eyes and clumsily stood up, shaking his head – he felt as if he was suffering from a severe hangover. Fortunately, the power boiling inside him had been completely devoured and digested by the Fire of the Abyss. As for the cost...

Thinking this, Mr. Fang Zheng looked towards Atalanta beside him.

”Hah... It looks like I’ll have to be more cautious from now on...”

As he said this, Fang Zheng looked at his right arm, where he could clearly see, aside from the Command Seals of Illya, Little Hei, and Jeanne d’Arc, three additional Seals representing Atalanta had appeared. This meant that, just a moment ago, in the process of conquering Atalanta, not only had he dominated her, but he had also become her master... Was this also a favor from Alaya?

If that’s the case, I’ll unapologetically accept it.

Although he felt slightly sorry for Atalanta, it was just a slight feeling; after all, Fang Zheng had already warned her not to follow him or get close to him. However, this girl stubbornly insisted on following and even tried to ambush him... Since she made her choice, she had to face the consequences.

”I have two donkeys, but I never ride them...”

Just then, his cellphone rang again, and Fang Zheng quickly connected to Kurumi.

”Kurumi? What’s wrong? What happened... a creature?”

Upon hearing this, Fang Zheng was stunned for a moment then looked into the distance. Indeed, near the castle of the World Tree of a Thousand Realms, he saw a giant figure slowly moving.

What is that thing... But according to Kurumi, it seems to be heading towards the castle. But now, Fang Zheng couldn’t let that giant destroy the World Tree of a Thousand Realms’ castle, especially since he had accepted the commission of this world, and the World Tree would become his main base in the future!

”...What should we do, Mr. Fang Zheng?”

”Protect the castle, block that giant. I will be back immediately.”

”Are you sure it will be fine?”

”It will be fine.”

Hearing Kurumi’s inquiry, Fang Zheng nodded.

”As of now, you no longer need to hide your identities, and... this is not a case of cruel slaughter.”

”I understand, then Mr. Fang Zheng, I hope you come back soon.”

After saying this, Kurumi hung up the phone, and Fang Zheng glanced at the still dazed Atalanta beside him, reaching out to pat her cheek.

”Atalanta, wake up.”

”Hmm...”

However, in response to Fang Zheng’s action, Atalanta just instinctively emitted a low moan... It seems I went too far before, no choice but to use this method.

Thinking this, Fang Zheng sighed and raised his right hand.

”By the power of the Command Seal, Atalanta, recover!”

”Hmm...”

As the Radiance of the Command Seal flashed by, the marks on Atalanta’s body instantly vanished, and her initially torn clothes reappeared. Following that, Atalanta’s previously expressionless eyes regained their luster; she blinked her eyes and slowly stood up from the ground, but upon seeing Fang Zheng, she involuntarily trembled and turned her head to stare at the ground, murmuring softly.

”Master, master...”

”Although I also feel that I went a bit too far, since it’s done, there’s not much else to say...”

Looking at Atalanta before him, Fang Zheng shrugged his shoulders.

”Come now, we still have important matters to attend to.”
