Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 713: Chapter 712: Think You Can Steal From Me and Run?

Although for Fang Zheng, the magic puppet in front of him was nothing but a big piece of firewood that could walk, it still burned longer than expected. The evidence was that Fang Zheng took almost ten minutes to completely burn it up.

Just as Fiore had said, this magic puppet would continuously absorb magic power from the earth, and if its connection with the earth was not severed, it would infinitely regenerate. But for Fang Zheng, this didn’t matter; the method he adopted was simple and straightforward.

All he needed to do was to burn it faster than it could recover.

The facts proved that Fang Zheng’s choice was correct. Not to mention compared to firewood mixed with human souls, a magic puppet constructed from a pure magic power entity burned even better and was easier to absorb. Therefore, under Fang Zheng’s full-force burning, the magic puppet took about ten minutes to completely turn into ash.

And the system repair progress in front of Fang Zheng also reached 95%.

After the magic puppet was burned up, the issue with the World Tree of a Thousand Realms could be considered as coming to an end, but this did not mean the Holy Grail War would just end like that. The Red Faction’s Servants were still leisurely wandering outside with the Greater Holy Grail!

”We must seize back the Greater Holy Grail,”

Fiore’s voice trembled slightly, but her expression was extremely serious.

”The Greater Holy Grail is the last hope of our Tribe of the World Tree of a Thousand Realms, and it must not fall into the hands of others.”

”But sister, almost all of our MASTERS have already lost their qualification...”

Coles helplessly reminded her. In this battle, not only had their Servants been greatly sacrificed, but so too the MASTERS. CASTER’s MASTER Roger was used by CASTER as the core of a magic puppet. And the MASTER of RIDER, after losing RIDER, ran madly out of the castle and was subsequently crushed into mincemeat by the broken debris. Now, on the Black Side, the only remaining MASTERS were Gold, Fiore and her brother Coles, and...

”We still have Mr. Fang Zheng, it’s not a complete failure,”

Fiore stated decisively.

”Mr. Fang Zheng still has a chance to seize the Holy Grail; as long as there’s a sliver of hope, we cannot give up,”

Fiore said, revealing a slight smile.

”Luckily, until the last Servant dies, the Greater Holy Grail will not be activated, which means, as long as Mr. Fang Zheng still holds a Servant, the ceremony of the Holy Grail War cannot be completed,”

The backup system is a backup system, and the Holy Grail War itself will not be changed because of this. In fact, according to the original plan of the World Tree of a Thousand Realms, they would commence a ”formal” Holy Grail War after eliminating the Servants who attacked from the Red Faction. This would be the battle where seven MASTERS fight each other until only one person can achieve victory.

And now, the Black Side still has the following Servants left...

”Ugh... these two are Servants, right...”

”Yes,”

In response to Fiore’s somewhat puzzled question, Fang Zheng nodded.

”Little Hei is ARCHER, Illya is CASTER,”

”There’s no ASSASSIN at all!”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s answer, Gold cried out and then collapsed weakly onto a chair.

”Why can you summon two Servants?”

”Probably because I’m European, don’t be envious,”

”... Mr. Fang Zheng, aren’t you from East Asia?”

Fiore clearly didn’t get the joke Fang Zheng made, looking at him in surprise, while Fang Zheng simply waved his hand.

”It’s just a joke, but given that...”

”The Red Faction will likely send Servants to attack Mr. Fang Zheng and then wait for the Holy Grail to complete,”

”But this is unacceptable,”

And it was at that moment that RULER, who had been silent up until now, suddenly spoke up.

”We must stop the Red Faction from winning,”

”Oh?”

Hearing RULER’s response, Fang Zheng glanced at her.

”I thought RULER was supposed to be impartial and just?”

”In fact, before I arrived here, I encountered that man in the forest,”

RULER hesitated a bit, but she continued.

”The man named Kotomine Shirou is not human; his True Name is Amakusa Shigen Shiro, the RULER from the last Holy Grail War,”

According to RULER’s account, as soon as she sensed the great battle between the Red Faction and the Black Side commence and confirmed her body had recovered enough to fight, she immediately rushed towards the battlefield. However, what RULER hadn’t anticipated was that within the forest, she encountered Amakusa Shigen Shiro lying in wait. He extended an invitation to her, hoping RULER would join him in securing victory in the Holy Grail War, and it was then that Jeanne d’Arc learned of his wish.

”Redemption for all of humanity... Why can’t we have a Holy Grail War without this kind of idiocy?”

Hearing the message from Jeanne d’Arc, Fang Zheng rolled his eyes in resignation. Was it predestined for the Fourth Holy Grail War to produce these sanctimonious types? Emiya Kiritsugu was one, and now Amakusa Shigen Shiro is playing the same tune? Enough of them already, right?

”Isn’t that a good thing?”

Illya, seemingly oblivious to the issue at hand, blinked curiously and raised her hand to ask. Little Hei beside her, however, gestured dismissively.

”Spare me, Illya. You should know that the Grail is nothing more than a concentration of magic power. Although it can indeed fulfill most wishes and can skip over theory to yield results directly, on the flip side, it must have a process that can be skipped in order to realize a wish.”

”That’s correct...”

Fiore nodded in agreement. As an heiress of the World Tree of a Thousand Realms lineage, she naturally understood the nature of the Greater Holy Grail well.

”But still, who knows what kind of method that guy intends to use to redeem humanity? This CASTER is bad enough as it is, he wants to turn the entire world into Paradise! Sounds great, doesn’t it? But what did he do? He just used his Noble Phantasm to absorb all life and plant trees on the ground. Do you think other people would accept such a Paradise?”

At this, Little Hei snorted disdainfully.

”Besides, according to Jeanne d’Arc, that guy wants to ’redeem humanity.’ Ha, if he’d said he wanted to resurrect some spirits or something that would be another matter, but redeem humanity? What the hell is that? Who asked for his redemption? How does he plan to redeem them?! Humans live in this world because it’s suffering that leads them to seek happiness, sadness that makes them yearn for joy. The wish to redeem all humanity is an arrogant and selfish wish... It’s simply idiotic!”

”ARCHER is right.”

RULER also nodded solemnly.

”No matter what, the fact that a RULER would command Servants and try to use the Grail to fulfill a wish is already a breach of the rules. Not to mention, his wish could very well endanger the world. I believe that’s why I was summoned here. So, we must unite and stop him.”

Everyone agreed with Jeanne d’Arc’s statement, but the problem was...

”With the mobility of the Aerial Courtyard, I have no idea where they might go, but since their MASTER is also a RULER, they should be able to feel that the Red Faction Servants haven’t all been wiped out. Given this, he will certainly gather his forces for defense, and that aerial fortress... indeed makes for a tough target.”

Saying this, RULER sighed.

”Though catching up to it in terms of speed is not difficult, the real question is how to get inside...”

That was the issue. The reason the Red Faction Servants were able to invade the Aerial Courtyard was that they took advantage of it peeling off and absorbing the power of the Greater Holy Grail. But now, the only one with Riding skills, RIDER, was dead, and on Fang Zheng’s side...

”We could all fly over, couldn’t we?”

”The external defenses of the Aerial Courtyard are probably Noble Phantasm Rank. Even if we could fly over, it would be impossible to enter.”

Fang Zheng shook his head, rejecting Kurumi’s suggestion, and then he squinted his eyes.

”However, I am not without a plan.”

”Really, Mr. Fang Zheng?”

Hearing this, Fiore and the others looked at him in astonishment. freewebnøvel.coɱ

”If you need a means of transport, our World Tree lineage could provide you with an airplane for support...”

”But an airplane that can withstand attacks from a Servant doesn’t exist, does it?”

Fang Zheng waved his hand dismissively, then the corners of his mouth lifted into a cold smile.

”However... if they think they can shake me off like this, they’re dreaming in broad daylight. Think they can steal from me and run? That’s not going to happen!”

While speaking, Fang Zheng shifted his gaze to the system prompt before him.

After the system repair progress had reached 95%, another ability of Fang Zheng was unlocked.

That was... the Dimensional Passage.

With that thought, Fang Zheng clenched his right hand and closed his eyes.

”Nymph, can you hear me?”

”Master!”

At Fang Zheng’s call, Nymph’s voice came through immediately in response.

”Are you going back?”

”Almost, but I’ve run into a bit of trouble here. I need your assistance... Notify the Royal Fleet to prepare for battle. In half an hour, I’ll perform the Summon.”
