Chapter 710: Chapter 709 We Are Not Humans

”Coles, immediately evacuate everyone from the castle!”

Watching the giant magic puppet approaching from the distance, Fiore issued the command without delay. In this moment, the usually gentle and elegant young lady displayed the poise of the next heir to the World Tree of a Thousand Realms, efficiently giving orders.

Although she had no idea what CASTER was planning to do, since he had already betrayed them, it surely wouldn’t be anything good. However, on her own side......

There were no Servants.

Looking at the magic puppet before her, Fiore took a deep breath. It was ironic. This Noble Phantasm had originally been created by the Thousand Realms’ World Tree specifically to win the Holy Grail War, after investing a great deal of time and money, but now it had turned into this current predicament. What’s more important, although CASTER was very weak, he was still a Servant.

Not someone ordinary magicians could deal with.

If they had a Servant here, they might at least have tried to stop this massive creature. But as it was......there was nothing.

Should she call ARHER back?

The thought flashed through Fiore’s mind, but the next moment, she looked at her now empty back of the hand, smiled bitterly, and shook her head.

What was she thinking......ARCHER was already dead.

That’s right, not long after he used telepathy to warn Fiore, she felt the connection with ARCHER sever, and the Command Seal on the back of her hand also vanished. All of this indicated one thing, ARCHER was dead, and in this Holy Grail War, she had already been defeated.

CASTER had already betrayed them, so that left only ASSASSIN......Will he come to save us?

This thought suddenly crossed Fiore’s mind. Although she also felt it wasn’t wise to depend on someone who wasn’t even here, at the very least......thinking about it should be fine.

”Sister, what do you plan to do?”

Coles looked anxiously at her sister and asked. This also snapped Fiore out of her reverie. She stared at the creature, her brain starting to work meticulously.

The Red Faction’s Servants would not come to their aid, but to say that they had no chance at all was also not true. There was still RULER, facing the current situation, she surely would not ignore it. Although she didn’t know why RULER had not appeared before, now it seemed, they could only hope for RULER’s assistance. After all, they no longer had any Servants and had lost their Command Seals, effectively dropping out of the Holy Grail War. Under these circumstances, they should be able to ask for RULER’s help.

”I will do what I can to lure that magic puppet away from the castle. Coles, go search and find out where RULER is, and tell me the location......”

”Sister, but you......”

”Leave it to me, only I can do this now.”

When Fiore said this, it wasn’t completely out of bravado. Although she couldn’t use her legs or walk, this did not mean she couldn’t move. After all, Fiore was a genius from the World Tree of a Thousand Realms.

The so-called genius comes in two kinds: one with a wide range of abilities, and another with profound abilities in a specific domain. Fiore belonged to the latter. She might not be good at almost all forms of magecraft, but in the fields of Spirit Summoning and human physiology, her skills were on par with a Level One lecturer from the Clock Tower.

For this reason, she had created alchemical equipment specifically for movement and attack, which was the strengthening-type magic Formal Wear strapped to her back. It was like a magical Formal Wear with spider-like limbs, not only capable of moving freely but also able to demonstrate various abilities such as ”attack” and ”defense” depending on the situation. If just talking about moving speed, it might not match that of a Servant, but compared to that of human beings, it was much faster.

”Boom!”

The creature’s foot heavily stomped on the ground, and where its foot touched, everything began to become activated. Grass and trees around it started to grow vigorously, and the trees began to bloom and bear fruit.

This was......Paradise.

”No time to lose! Go now!”

”.........”

Upon hearing Fiore’s command, Coles hesitated for a moment, then turned and ran back to the castle, while Fiore took a deep breath and looked at the creature before her again.

To say she wasn’t nervous was impossible, to say she wasn’t scared was also impossible, but right now, she could only do what she was able to do because that was her duty.

”Fire!”

Following Fiore’s command, one of the arms lifted, and then magic bullets swiftly shot out, striking the body of the creature. Although they didn’t cause any damage, they clearly caught the creature’s attention. It slowly turned around and looked at Fiore, then began to move toward her.

Now is the time, just keep moving and lure it away from the castle!

”Move!”

Manipulating the magic Formal Wear, Fiore swiftly turned and moved towards the plains. The speed burst from the magic Formal Wear far exceeded that of humans, akin to galloping on horseback, but then......

”Boom!”

It was just one step, and in the next moment, Fiore felt a massive shadow envelope her. She looked up in surprise, only to see the creature had already made its way behind her.

Was it really that fast?

Due to the creature’s enormous size, Fiore had misjudged its speed. Thinking back, it was a Noble Phantasm, and moreover, a Servant’s Noble Phantasm. How could it possibly move as slowly as she had imagined?

”Huff—————!”

As she watched, the Magic Puppet reached out its hand towards her with what seemed like a slow motion, but Fiore knew all too well that she had no chance of dodging it...

”Jump!”

”Bang!”

Along with Fiore’s renewed shout, the Magic Formal Wear at her feet ignited like a rocket, propelling her into a leap and dodging the Magic Puppet’s first strike. Under Fiore’s control, the Formal Wear launched another attack on the Magic Puppet. However, at that moment, another hand from the Magic Puppet reached out for her.

This time, there was no escape!

After all, Magic Formal Wear is just Magic Formal Wear. It can be effective with leverage, but in mid-air, it becomes meaningless.

Staring at the huge palm in front of her, Fiore closed her eyes in despair.

Could it be that her life was going to end here?

And just then, suddenly, a voice rang out.

”Hehehe, it’s too soon to give up here.”

”Huh?”

Surprised by the voice, Fiore opened her eyes. In the next moment, she felt someone suddenly appear, grabbing her and swiftly pulling back, forcefully dragging her out of the Magic Puppet’s attack range. Then, in the next instant, the two of them stood firmly on the ground not far away.

”You are......”

Fiore’s eyes widened in astonishment at the figure beside her. It was a black-haired girl in a red and black dress. Her hair was tied in uneven ponytails, but what drew even more attention was the girl’s left eye—a golden, constantly moving clock face rather than an ordinary eyeball.

However, to Fiore, the appearance of this girl was indeed a surprise.

”Are you... Miss Tokisaki?”

If Fiore remembered correctly, this girl was one of the individuals who had come here with Fang Zheng. Fiore had also met her before and saw her as a well-mannered, elegant young lady. Fiore hadn’t thought too much about the girl’s identity because many magicians stemmed from noble families, and the Orient was no exception. She assumed that Tokisaki Kurumi was just another magician accompanying Fang Zheng.

But now, it seemed not so simple.

”Right you are, Miss Fiore. I never expected you to dare to confront such a creature on your own,” said Kurumi with a giggle, then she continued.

”However, I can’t let you get hurt. After all, Mr. Fang Zheng has ordered us to protect the castle. Plus, having lived in this castle for some time, we’ve grown quite fond of it and would like to do our part.”

”Thank you, but Miss Tokisaki, that’s not something humans can confront...”

But Fiore’s words were cut short as the Magic Puppet swung its hand down at them once more.

At the same time...

”Chronos! Seventh Bullet!”

”Bang!”

Kurumi raised her firearm and aimed at the Magic Puppet, pulling the trigger. The Black Bullet struck the body of the Magic Puppet, and in the next moment, the massive figure of the Magic Puppet suddenly froze in place.

As if time had been stopped.

”What, what is this...”

Staring at the Magic Puppet as if it was frozen in time, Fiore was flabbergasted, while Kurumi gave her a sly smile.

”Perhaps humans really can’t deal with such creatures, but we... we’re not human after all.” fгeewёbnoѵel_cσm
