Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 705: Chapter 704: Is Black Side About to Type GG?

What the hell is going on?

Watching the light beam shooting out from the Floating Citadel, Fang Zheng was also alarmed. However, what puzzled him was that the light beam didn’t seem to be meant to destroy the entire castle; on the contrary, it seemed to be pulling something...

”Boom boom boom...”

Immediately following, a giant white sphere slowly emerged from behind the World Tree of a Thousand Realms’ castle, flying toward the direction of the Floating Castle. That was the core of this Holy Grail War, as well as the key to everything.

The Greater Holy Grail.

Holy crap, there’s still such a fancy trick?

Seeing this, even Fang Zheng couldn’t help but be dumbfounded. There had never been such an occurrence in the previous Holy Grail Wars; well, now you’re actually directly trying to snatch the Greater Holy Grail? What the heck is all this... Wait a minute, I can’t let you steal this thing!

”Mr. Fang Zheng, can you hear my voice?”

And just at that time, the sound of Fiore’s voice suddenly rang in Fang Zheng’s ears. Hearing Fiore’s magecraft communication, Fang Zheng quickly responded.

”I can hear you, what has happened? Miss Fiore?”

”The enemy’s ASSASSIN has ambushed the castle and is attempting to take away the Greater Holy Grail! Please come back immediately to provide support!”

”What about the others?”

”......”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s question, Fiore fell silent for a moment before she answered in a low voice.

”RIDER and BERSERKER have been wiped out by Red BERSERKER’s previous strike... Uncle Danik, LANCER, CASTER, and ARCHER have already gone to the Aerial Courtyard in an attempt to stop the other party’s actions; we need your help...”

This is really unfortunate.

Facing Fiore’s response, Fang Zheng sighed helplessly. He hadn’t ruled out the possibility that their Servants would fall, but he hadn’t expected two to fall all at once. Even more ironic was the fact that they were taken out by the captured Red BERSERKER... That’s why he had said from the start, you can’t trust a traitor!

”Got it, I’ll go to the Aerial Courtyard.”

Fang Zheng cut off communication with Fiore, then he lifted his head, looking towards the Floating Citadel suspended in the sky in the distance.

Although Divine Might had already preordained it... still, such a thing as fate is more reassuring when in one’s own hands!

Thinking this, Fang Zheng raised his hand, grasping the key emerging from the void.

”Unsealing Master, open.”

”Swoosh——!”

The spatial door opened swiftly, then Fang Zheng glanced around before stepping into the void before him.

The next moment, the once icy and silent fortress walls changed into a deep corridor enveloped in warm lighting. Fang Zheng looked left and right, quickly determining the direction.

”That way, huh?”

Listening to the sounds of battle coming from the end of the corridor, Fang Zheng let out a cold snort. He then gripped his dual swords tightly and walked slowly in that direction.

And just as Fang Zheng reached the end of the corridor, he saw an artificial human raising a weapon, confronting a companion. And before her, another artificial human, with a ferocity like a wild beast, pounced towards its companion. It stretched out a hand, tightly grasping the artificial human’s neck, and opened its mouth wide to bite down on its prey.

”Bang!!”

Seeing this scene, Fang Zheng quickly raised his silver short sword, pulled the trigger, and a light bullet whistled out, directly blasting the eerie artificial human away. But to Fang Zheng’s surprise, this artificial human did not stop its actions; instead, its body twisted at an odd angle, rotating ninety degrees, and then continued to lunge towards its prey, moving on hands and feet like a centipede.

What’s going on now?

Seeing this scene, Fang Zheng furrowed his brow, then summoned the Pitch Black Greatsword and swung it mightily. Accompanied by a roar and the eruption of flames, in the next moment, that eerie Artificial Human was engulfed by the fire and turned into Ash.

”Lord Fang Zheng.”

At this moment, the Artificial Human who had been attacked also stood up and respectfully bowed to Fang Zheng.

”What in the world has happened?”

While questioning the Artificial Human before him, Fang Zheng surveyed the surroundings. It was evident that a fierce battle had taken place here, with bodies of Magic Puppets and Artificial Humans strewn everywhere. However, the scene was somewhat different from what Fang Zheng had anticipated. Logically speaking, both the Magic Puppets and the Artificial Humans were soldiers Subordinate to the World Tree of a Thousand Realms, but from the current situation, it appeared more as if both sides were engaged in fratricide...

”The situation is this, Lord Fang Zheng. We followed Master Danik to the battlefield, and then...”

The Artificial Human quickly explained the situation to Fang Zheng. After the Red Faction’s ASSASSIN used the Floating Citadel to steal the Greater Holy Grail, realizing that something terrible was happening, Danik led LANCER, ARCHER, and CASTER, along with the legion of Artificial Humans, into the fortress in an attempt to recapture the Greater Holy Grail.

They naturally faced resistance from the Red Faction’s Servants, but what took everyone by surprise was that, since the Aerial Courtyard was not regarded as part of Romania, Vlad III, who had lost the territorial enhancement, had become much weaker. Previously, he had been able to fight Karna to a draw and even have a slight upper hand, but after losing the enhancement, Vlad III, who relied solely on his own power, was no match for Karna and was forced to retreat.

In this situation, Danik, disregarding Vlad III’s objections, forcefully used a Command Seal to activate his Noble Phantasm ”Legacy of Fresh Blood”, turning Vlad III into a Berserk Vampire. Not only that, but he also issued two additional commands through Command Seals: ”Survive until you obtain the Greater Holy Grail” and ”Inscribe his soul into Vlad III’s body,” resulting in Danik’s soul merging with Vlad III’s.

Vlad III, after becoming Berserk, displayed Divine Might, not only holding his own against Karna but even transforming his own legion of Artificial Humans into Vampire Enchanted. At this point, seeing the dire situation, the other Servants temporarily formed a united front, starting to fight against Vlad III together.

This Artificial Human was part of a small squad that almost got annihilated by Vlad III during the retreat; indeed, it was pure luck that she survived. Of course, if Fang Zheng had arrived a few minutes later, the outcome might have been different.

”To think such crafty tactics were used, Danik really went all out.”

Hearing the recounting from the Artificial Human, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but remark, forced to admit Danik was quite clever, ”Survive until you get the Holy Grail” was indeed a time-limited Command Seal, but it could ensure a Servant’s survival to the maximum extent during short-term combat... That reminds me, the Masters from the Fourth and Fifth Wars... their Command Seals... except for proving they were Masters and for Teleportation, were basically useless.

”Where did they go?”

”Over there.”

The Artificial Human stretched out her hand, pointing to a corridor on the other side, and Fang Zheng nodded.

”I understand, return to the castle immediately and report the whole event to Miss Fiore. Let’s see how she handles it, I’ll go check out the situation.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng turned and sprinted towards the other end of the hallway.

Following the trail of corpses and bloodstains, Fang Zheng quickly arrived at the end of the corridor. As he entered the hall, he immediately saw Vlad III engaged in fierce combat with the Servants.

”Don’t stand in my way, the Holy Grail belongs to me!!”

At this moment, Vlad III had completely lost his former composure and coolness. He opened his wide mouth, revealing sharp fangs, and a pair of bat-like wings unfolded behind him—Vlad III before him was no longer the hero who defended his country from Turkey, but had become the source of nightmares known throughout the world, the Vampire.

Around Vlad III, the Red Faction’s ARCHER, LANCER, and the Black Side’s ARCHER and CASTER had him completely surrounded. Although in theory, four Servants should have been able to defeat him together, the solemn expressions on their faces indicated that Vlad III, now Berserk and empowered by the Command Seals, was not so easy to handle.

And more importantly...

”Ugh... ahh ahh ahh!!”

Beside Vlad III, Fang Zheng also saw Red RIDER, Achilles, but he was no longer the brave and resolute warrior he had been on the battlefield. Instead, his skin was a pale blue, his eyes emitted a bright red Radiance, giving the impression... that he had turned into something like a Vampire too.

”A Servant can become Enchanted just by being bitten?”

Looking at Achilles, who was clearly obeying the Berserk Vlad III, Fang Zheng shook his head.

He knew about Vlad III’s Noble Phantasm, but he had not expected it to be so formidable... Wait a minute, if you had this ability, why did you have CASTER manipulate Red BERSERKER? Just bite him yourself... Oh, probably he didn’t have the stomach for it.

Thinking of that muscle-bound maniac, Fang Zheng himself lost his appetite.

”Well, since I’m here, let’s wrap this up quickly.”

As Fang Zheng spoke, flames appeared out of nowhere and transformed into silver white armor, once again covering his body. Then, holding the Dual Swords tightly, he charged at Vlad III.
